macProVideo.com Forum FAQ

macProVideo.com's Forums are a place for our members to gather, discuss topics of mutual interest, and learn how software works!

Forum Lurking

Before diving in with both barrels blazing, please spend some time "lurking" in the forums. Learn the proper forum tone, and see how others ask and answer questions before making your first post.

Forum Tone

macProVideo.com's forums are a friendly place for like-minded people to discuss software. Keep your posts light, friendly, and helpful. The following actions will result in the temporary suspension of your account:

Reporting Posts

Our forums are a community effort. If you see a post that breaks forum rules or is objectionable in anyway, click the "Report Post" button. If 5 different members report a post, it will temporarily be removed from the forum for review. Should the post be deemed objectionable by the forum moderator, the member that posted it will be docked -25 points.

Any member that accrues -50 points will be automatically suspended from the forums.

The Points System

Forum members gain points for posts as follows:

Remember, multiple forum members can tag your posts as either helpful or unhelpful, so you can quickly build points by adding helpful posts, and also quickly lose points for unhelpful posts.

Points Rewards

Gain points and win rewards! For each 1,000 points you accrue, you may claim 1 free tutorial download of your choice! Points add up quickly, especially if you provide helpful feedback!

Other rewards and free stuff will periodically be offered to active members with high point scores ... check back soon to find out more!

Note: macProVideo.com's forums are brand new, and we have no idea what to expect. Consequently, we reserve the right to change reward levels over time.

Dispute Arbitration

Forum moderators will be the final arbiters of any forum dispute or reported posts.
