Steve is the man when it comes to teaching Logic. At first I was a little skeptical of his humor and his way of speaking, but now after watching 10 hours of Steve´s various tutorials I can say he´s the best at what he does, keeps the topic fresh, and I´m looking forward to watching the rest of the tutorials he´s made here. BTW, Reading Rainbow was an awesome show, Steve.

Glad to see some videos finally on waves. Unfortunately they don't use anything but protools. You gonna get any waves tutorials with logic or ableton? I know that I can't use the Sidechain compressor in logic the way they do in the other DAWs.

Very Good Tutorial. If you want to see a pro at work in Logic, this is a must own. Nigel has a very effective "No fluff" procedure that is easy to follow. You will also learn how that "BIG SOUND" is produced. (in the mix). This is as good a mixing tutorial as it is a production tutorial. It's like two in one, and he makes it look easy. It's well worth the investment!

After the epic fail of the DnB vid I have to admit that I had reservations about my next Mac Pro purchase, but I really needn't have worried. This really is a superb tutorial. Well constructed path through the maze of features that comprise Logic. Only drawback is that sometimes we end up "off screen" in the tutorial.

Excellent. Well worth the minimal cash to have so much information available, and see all the nuances and features of the product. Unless you have a lot of experience, or a mentor close at hand, this is a "must have" if you want to make the most of Cubase 5.

I find this Final Cut 7 series far better than others I have tried. The pacing is brisk—but not to fast, concise and rich. If you're looking for a fast paced, well organized quality training resource that won't put you to sleep — this is it. Thanks!

This was an amazingly engaging tutorial. I went from knowing nothing about Cubase when I started, to feeling very comfortable with the program when I finished. Even though I'm on Komplete 6, this was still incredibly helpful. Just like the Kore 2 tutorial, this was organized well and edited well. Everything included was a great way to get started. Now I just wish that a video on Reaktor 5 would be created (although I'll understand if you wait for R6).

This was a great tutorial and a great reference tool after you've finished watching. This was well organized, well edited and it never dragged. This really helped to gain a quick understanding of what Kore 2 can do!

This tutorial by multi grammy award winner?? Its crazy!! Worth a million bucks for pennies!! No brainer 'MUST HAVE' if you're in the industry.

If you have Logic, you really should watch this tutorial. Though it focuses on Mastering, you can apply a lot of the principles to recording and mixing as well. This is a high quality video, which Steve obviously put a lot of effort into. As always, his teaching style makes it easy to learn the material.

A good overview of a broad range of Logic's plugins. Highly recommended for beginner Logic users. It serves as an excellent demystifying process for all those Logic plugin UIs. It is also a good introduction to EQ and Dynamics in Logic, which is very important.

A solid introduction to the subject. It not only explains the basics in a clear, concise manner, but by using Logic and its tools helps introduce you to aspects of Logic you might not have known.

If you use Logic, this is one tutorial you shouldn't miss. Every chapter is useful, and will improve your productivity. The section on the Transform window and PDC alone make this worthwhile. And, as always, Steve explains everything clearly so you don't miss anything.

I can't say enough good things about this tutorial. I have watched most of the audio tutorials on MPV, and in my opinion, this is the best. Being relatively inexperienced in recording, Logic is a fairly heavy risk. I've tried other resources and felt confused. It has taken me two passes at Logic 101 to have it begin to make sense. This course has been very helpful. I'm ready now to go through the "hands on" stage, and I'll probably work through it again. Thanks for this excellent guide.

Great Tutorial that covers the most important features of ES2 very well. Steve H. is an awesome teacher. What I´d love to see, though, are some more soundbuilding workshops - how Steve creates some more complicated sounds from scratch. And those videos dealing with the sources and targets could be a bit more detailed - covering more of the options available as sources and targets. Nevertheless: 5 stars!

these tutorials are the absolute best way, to become familiar with what it is you are working with. simple, easy to follow steps, get you up and running in no time, and show you tricks that you probably didnt even know existed. i highly recommend using them, to get the most out of whatever programs you may be working with !

Olav Basoski breathes life into the inanimate. How to effectively use "multi" compression and multi-effects to produce a Hot Club Mix in Logic is well elucidated in this tutorial. A must have for beat producers cutting to vinyl.

Another great job by Steve H. Not that I'm now a master at Mastering now by any means. But at least I now understand the basics. BTW, great explanation of compressors, limiters, and metering.

Chris Potter does an excellent job from set up to bouncing in this tutorial. Even though I use Logic I found a lot of useful info. I gave it five stars because I'm sure I I used PT I would appreciate him letting me know what plugs, he uses and how he uses them.

Once again Martin has delivered a perfect tutorial for understanding Logic. I have just purchased Logic Studio 9 and this is my first open door to audio work. Already I have gained clear understanding on the process of making music and how to approach the method of recording. An absolute must buy if you are new to Logic or even a seasoned user.

Just like the prior version, this one is full of info. Each piece of information is broken out to it's own movie. Lots of little movies instead of grinding through a ten minute (2-3 times) movie or stopping and going back over and over it's like educational pop-corn. This is a godsend! Martin has cleverly used his understanding and knowledge from programs such as DVD Studio Pro to put into practice for the Appomator. This tutorial was very helpful. It was set up in a manner that allows me to return to sections I need to repeat easily. The presenter was clear even when presenting fairly complex moves in the program, and the progression was well planned. I am certain I will return for additional tutorials.

Another great tutorial, digging really deep into Omnisphere. This on is essential for everyone using Omnisphere. But i agree with Marc that more practical tips would be very welcome - maybe in part two? Also tutorials on the other great products from Spectrasonics are needed.

I have 19 tutorials from macprovideo so not everything in this was new. But a lot of it was. I was hoping there would be even more workflow tips like those given in the preview videos. Quick little shortucts is what i was expecting. But it actually felt more like a TNT series in that it went over a lot of creative things rather than just ways to get around the program. It's a good set of tutorials that beats the c*** out of the manual (not uncommon). But I'd rather see the tutor base his examples ENTIRELY on material/patches included with KORE, than pitching extra Soundpacks from NI all the time. Nevertheless: Definitely worthwhile. See it.

Like a number of other reviewers I found this tutorial excellent. Having only recently started using Logic I found the workflow tips extremely useful and relevant to my style of music production. Olav's presentation style is both educational and inspirational. Full marks, another quality tutorial product.

The subtleties of this genre are masterfully covered by David Isaac. I hope to see more from this teacher and would definitely purchase any of his collections. This has been one of the best investments I've made thus far for my production company.

Steve Horelick is the master. Period. I don´t know anybody else who is able to explain complex stuff so understandable. Great tutorial on a complex topic. Worth every cent.

Excellent video and a great introduction to omnisphere. I wish there were some more practical examples on how to create more complex patches, though. (For my taste there was a bit too much theory.) I hope there will be a second training kit for that! :-)

This gave me a greater understanding and respect of the ES2. It also teaches some pretty important concepts regarding signal flow,modulation routings, oscillators and filters which make this a gem I can watch over and over again.

I usually don't write reviews. Why? Well because I'm lazy. But I feel this tutorial deserves a response. Bill is hilarious. I laughed out loud several times watching this tutorial. He also does a great job of explaining the software. After watching this tutorial I am able to really create some great music with Ableton. Now I just need the Live with Live tutorial to come out!

This is exactly the type of tutorial I've been needing! Packed with loads of great workflow techniques and tips on ways to make tracks sound PHAT! nice to have logic on 64-bit. But this new version is not as streamlined as it should be. For instance. If you load a movie in logic 64 bit and try to export audio to movie you will see that the export function is gone . Don't know why? And of course, we have to wait till all the plugs from other companies are in 64 bit to feel the real power.

Just dowloaded 9.1 last nite... I did not even know it was the 64 bit version until I watched the videos here on MacProVideo. I have nine gb of ram and decided to test with exs24 sampler. WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Core Final Cut 7 is an excellent training tool. I have watched the video twice in entirety and just started working through the lessons, with a more grounded understanding of FCP 7. and a much improved sense of editing. I enjoy the the way the material is presented and how the lesson's points are made and re-enforced by the visual examples. The pace is fine and the progression of skill sets make sense and help build confidence in learning, and my edit execution.

The videoes are just fantastic! I´ve tried to figure things for many years in Logic. Yes, it´s a marvelous program but I´ve had big trouble getting in to it. This is the first time I don´t mostley feel frustrated. I´ve seen no. 45 out of 260. Many more to go.

I am looking forward to more tutorials on Ableton Live. This is an excellent way to learn. Although I have only viewed perhaps 10% of the material included in this package, the video clips viewed so far have each exceeded my expectations by a good margin. My use of Final Cut Pro is sporadic and the learning curve tends to fade between one job and the next. These tutorials are the perfect way to both build new skills and polish up rusty ones.

This tutorial is a fantastic step-by-step introduction to the awesome Spectraonsics synth but it also serves as a great primer for synthesis in general! I have been playing synths since the early 80's but haven't properly understood what I am doing, so this is great for me. I really appreciate Jonathan Perl's engaging & laid back style ("Munchkinization" vs. "Darth Vader-ization" will stick with me forever now!) and excellent examples of techniques and complex ideas. Bravo!

Clear. Great coverage for getting started. My only disappointment was the large amount of time on the subject of sound in the beginning. Getting into editing soundwaves as the first chapter???? That's nuts. Felt like I was in a masterclass. Anyway, overall very helpful and nice job. Worth the money, which is the key element.

Many Logic Pro users may end up getting FC Express for music video production. The bonus is that we still get to use SoundTrack Pro from Logic. The inclusion of Martin's SoundTrack Pro tutorial where he shows noise reduction of feature as well as script automation is well worth a *free* admission.

I found Scott Freiman my favorite narrator of macProvideo's.His is the most proficient,articulated,strategic,organized production flowing instructor.That being said; I wish that he could have used a better choice of musical examples,like his own composition? When I wanted some Apple Logic help I turned to MacProVideo. Now I need to do some of my own music video with Final Cut Express, I came to MacProVideo straight. And guess who is the instructor? Michael Whol, the guy made the original Final Cut. I knew quite a few things already by just looking at others and just doing it. But a friend noted me on this tutorial so i watched it. Its a clear lesson which shows you the tricks around logic and i liked it very much. Not to many big words, and if there where, you get them explainend, very handy if english isn't your native language.

I feel this training will probably be used by a lot of people either new to computers or switchers from Windows. As such I felt the author over emphasized the possibility of someone gaining unauthorized access to their Mac. These kind of warnings belongs in the Security section of training but not in as many places as he put them. His over emphasis might lead to the feeling that the Mac is not as safe as it is. If he updates the training I hope he puts these warnings in the proper location...

Wow - I'd been trying to figure out Logic Pro 9 on my own and it appears very overwhelming without any starting knowledge. This course explains all the basics and then some! Basically - excellent, Martin demonstrates the use of Logic to build a song from zero and gives an enjoyable, humorous and very informative description which has given me the confidence to use Logic on every music project. I'd give this tutorial 3.5 stars. It was a great tutorial in many respects, and I especially learned a lot about setting up MIDI in the environment. The best part is that you will understand and learn how to use the Environment, and compared to other Environment tutorials, that's an accomplishment in itself. This was a particularly useful tutorial as I had questions on how to connect & configure external instruments for the use with Logic. This tutorial was then recommended to me. I found it very detailed and easy to grasp. I was able to directly put what I learned to good use. Again, thanks for the good work.

Another great tutorial from Olav and the explanation of things is excellent for both the beginner and experienced viewer. Olav really is great at doing these tutorials and makes them fun to watch. My only niggle would be that the audio quality of the tutorials sounds slightly distorted to me compared to the other ones I have bought so for this reason only I give it a 4 star rather than the 5 it deserves.

I had head a lot of these terms before, but never knew what they meant. This was a really nice overview of the basics that used some great examples to explain things. I know more now than I did only a half hour ago!

Overall good tutorial, but compared to the 20 +/- videos I've watched from this site (mainly by Steve H. and Martin), the two I just picked up (this and Confessions of a DnB...) felt slightly lightweight. Whereas the others were meat and potatoes, this felt like nouvelle cuisine - still tasty as hell, but less on the plate....

This is a very comprehensive and detailed tutorial covering all important (and not so important) features of PT8. It is nicely structured in short units, which makes it easy to pick up where you left off. All in all an excellent job and great buy for the money.

A pretty good tutorial. I had been messing with Mainstage, and this helped me to learn a few features that I'd missed during my tinkering. In future tutorials, it would be nice to show how to use AmpliTube 2 as a Mainstage plugin as well (it's a little tricky to setup), and maybe how to use a foot controller (like the new Apogee Gio).

Just when you think you know a program, I've been using Logic for sometime now and just out of curiosity I thought I'd watch the 101 to see if there's something I could learn. I'm glad I did, don't be fooled by the 101. Good stuff here. -DC

This was a very fascinating dive into the basics and principles of synthesis. I found it very fascinating altogether. Richard can be a bit hard to follow at times (in comparison to other MPV professors), but in keeping focused, you will saturate most of what he brings to the table. Very informative, and considered a requirement for anyone getting into digital audio production!

Steve can be absolutely hilarious, and the way he teaches is pleasant and composed, that sometimes you forget you're learning sophisticated Logic technique. This is a fantastic tutorial.

This is a good video series. Only issue is that they have now released Komplete 6 which has quite a few differences. Also the guy talked about Kore quite a bit and Kore is not in Komplete. I am quite happy with most of it and it is mainly the fact that Komplete has been updated that downgrades this to 3 stars

What could be better than to have one of Apple's developers of Logic and Mainstage walk you through the software. Bill's great at letting you know how the software thinks and offers a lot of Apple interface knowledge as well. I have been on a Mac since 1989 and thought I knew most of it. He also offers hardware interface solutions which is key to having the software work for you rather than you work for the software in an onstage live situation.

Another Bill Burgess highlight! Humourous, informative and perfectly presented. If you are using MainStage 2 this tutorial is a must. Thank you Bill.

I'm brand new to Ableton Live and started this tutorial with virtually little to no knowledge of the product. Bill Burgess is definitely one of the best presenters I have heard. It never got old. It took me a few days/late nights to get through it all (I paused a lot and followed along in Live) but it was well worth it.

Initially I had some trouble with getting ned to work as I am running windows vista 64, crappiest os ever :) That being said this tutorial is amazing!!! The instructor knows what he's talking about, shows lots of cool techniques and is actually a great musician. Finding this combination in a video tutorial is very difficult. Enough said buy this tutorial if you want to learn Live and be inspired.

A very inspiring and helpful tutorial. As a teacher, engineer and musician I´m familiar with most of the issues. But things are so brilliantly explained here, that I become a better teacher: F.ex explaining sample and bit rate, compressor attack settings and much more....... I agree with some previous posters. It is a very good tutorial but he utilizes some plugins that are not native to Logic, and some of them make a huge difference in the sound. I enjoyed it a lot.

The great thing about Logic is that it caters for those starting out on music production right up to the most sophisticated technicians at the highest end of the industry - like Steve H. Each tutorial in the Logic series provides highly detailed elements of the, in my view, the very best of DAWs. The real beauty is that you can be as simple or as sophisticated as you wish. I would say that Flex Editing is at the higher end of the scale but if you wish to add this aspect of music production...

The new techniques used with flex-time editing are very clearly and logically explained. With all the MacPro videos I use two screens, one with the tutorial and the other with an open work file. The short simple descriptions in each tutorial make it possible quickly to become familiar with new and/or updated function without having to put time aside to study them.

A real useful presentation of the new features in Cubase 5. Especially the automation part and the beat designer. Some information of the new reverb was totally new for me and I really enjoyed watching.

Lots of accurate, tightly packed info. Frequently pressing pause while I do what Mark is doing. Having the tutorial on a different computer than the application removes the tediousness of going back and forth. It is permissible to install on up to 3 computers.

Amazing tutorial! I can now fix many of the issues I have been struggling with in the mastering process. The explanation of musical concept applied to Logic Plug-In is well worth the price of admission.

Wow I went from a "what is a synth" to a "I am a synth" guy in 3 hours. We bought this synth to our studio and now I finally knows how to use it. No need for more synths in studio :-) This was the best invested money in a long time.

a must for all new to Logic!! Im a new mac user also so making the leap from pc, and with only my experimental knowledge of cubase LE i had the basic principles of recording etc. I also use a midi drum kit so my midi editing knowledge was there, but basic. This guide not only gave me confidence in using logic pro, but gave me invaluable tips and tricks in structuring my songs, im a drummer in a rock band, so whilst the music generated in the turoial was dance/r&b it still was very impressive...

These Logic TNT tutorials are very useful and provide lots of tricks that I can go and apply to my already existing projects as well as new ones. Simply put, I am much more able to realise my musical inspiration than I used to be. These techniques give artists alot of creative ammunition.

Steve H, what can I say? I have been to college and paid big bucks to learn more about audio production. I wish I had saved my money and downloaded your tutorials earlier. Steve explains very complicated concepts very carefully in easily digestible language. I absorb the know how very quickly and enjoy the learning process. This is one of the tutorials that I was waiting for! Finally a tut that goes indepth of the 'dark art' of mastering. A bit of a warning. After whatching this you are probably going to buy new third party plugins! :)

On the whole I think this tutorial is great! Covers the basics of how to use each element of Reason 4. I was already familiar with Reason, so I just wanted to get some extra tips and some help with a few instruments that I wasn't too familiar with, so I got what I was looking for.

I'm fascinated by Ableton Live & M. Delaney is a great expert but his teaching style might be too layed back for me, in his tone of voice there was not enough pointers to specifics , he slides though lessons evenly as if reading an instruction manual. He knows this app so well I'm sure he could teach Ableton in his sleep.

Core Pages '09 was a very useful tutorial for me. I knew some of the basics, but going through the entire tutorial extended my knowledge. It also made me more appreciative of just how good an application Pages is for basic word processing.

This is the first tutorial I have seen for le 8. I think it is excellent.

Well this tutorial was really great, and Informative. I really learned alot, and was like I didn't realize you could do that in Logic. It really does teach you the toolkit of mastering thoroughly. My only complaint was the song "Wheels" was a little annoying after the second time, but you can't please everyone. Good Job steve, and MacProvideo, keep the great tutorials coming, and MACPROVIDEO's tutorials are really the best. This was the first one I actually watched from beginning to end.

This was a very informative video, although the instructor speaks a bit too slowly for our taste. Set playback to 1.5x and you're good to go! Anyway, thanks in part to this video, our band now uses MainStage at every gig.

Coming from ProTools, Logic looks like a jungle with all the knobs and drop-down menu's. And just one look at the 1.000 pages printed manual makes me want to go outside and mow the lawn instead. Not anymore with this tutorial. Up and running in no time, nicely paced and chaptered, with the perfect amount of detail - not to a subatomic level, not too superficial either. Excellent

After an email to your support team, I quickly received my answer AND my tutorial. I found the video VERY helpful and have purchased 2 more tutorials for personal use just this past week. I have only been able to watch the first few sections, and I love how detailed and simple it starts off. He's so clear with everything, it feels so easy to learn... so far! My one concern is that even though I've only watched about half of the sections of the 1st chapter, the subject matter seems to jump around in a way that seems a bit illogical, but perhaps that's because I don't know how it all ties in yet. I can give a more accurate review later.

Very informative and useful,as are all the tutorials I've bought.My one criticism is the bias towards loops rather than freely played audio.I would like to see more on using elastic audio to correct freely played songs that are not played to a click, and how one could use elastic audio for tightening up performances.But overall very good!

As a beginner at home recording and new to GarageBand, I am glad I got this tutorial. Even though it is for GB-08, it is 100% applicable to GB-09. The basic interface looks different but the effects are identical. I am puzzled about why the Amp Simulation and Bass Amp features were left out of this tutorial since they were the only two items left on the Effects list. All in all, a great overview and a must have for the new user of GarageBand, especially at this price!!!

This is an excellent video to learn how to use Garageband 09, and build a project, and what keyboard shortcuts you have available. It also explains well, how to use audio and midi files in Garageband, and is easy to understand.

I've made it about 80% of the way through Logic 101 and I'm totally blown away. You guys are fantastic. I was so impressed I pretty much bought everything else I wanted to know about a day or two later. I just wish I had discovered your videos earlier...I would have saved a lot of time and frustration.

Hi,technically it's excellent but it would be superb if you were to give an example of producing a basic music track by using Simpler,operator,etc..This would be fun and very intuitive as at the moment I'm going backwards and forwards into ableton..It would make it sink in so much more if for ten-fifteen minutes one of you started to lay a track down from the beginning.obviously it doesn't need to be a club classic..your instructor on the tutorial is so knowledgeable but he sounds bored to death...

Overall good tutorial, just some unnecessary repetitions could be avoided. Importing from camera, isight and so on could have been one lesson with just the differences explained.

I've been using Illustrator since 1993 and knew the older program like the back of my hand, but the new items introduced since CS were a bit of a mystery because I never had the time to tinker and investigate them. I didn't think I would get much from the lessons but these tutorials have surprised me with new bells and whistles and easy ways to do old tasks that I couldn't possibly have figured out without someone showing me the hows and wheres. The lessons are very easy to follow!

I have been a user of GarageBand for over a year and thought I knew most of it. I bought the course, because it was on sale, but I didn't think I was going to learn much. To my surprise, I learned a lot! I learned many awesome tips that I had no idea existed. The instructor also takes you step by step on how to create loops more effectively with edits. The compositions are well made. You guys should change the course from Core to Complete!!! It was really good and comprehensive.

Generally it's a good video aimed at beginners. One big let down is the absence of a lead vocal track, which is the most important thing in all most every genre. I was hoping for a video with some more tricks for the more experienced mixer, but maybe there's a volume 2 on the way ? :-) If you're just starting out mixing, this is a good video for you.

iMovie 09 101 is excellant in all respects, particularly in providing "older generations" with easy to follow navigation through what is quite a complex piece of software. I did encounter initial problems with downloading, however the on-line support team were fantastic

I'm an old fashioned musician, just listen and hit the keys, even though I've about 30 years experience with computers. So I did not want to take the time to figure out ultrabeat by trial and error. The tutorial was very helpful and made up for what was lacking in Logic manuals and my own instincts. A few questions were left unanswered, but it gave me a great start on what otherwise would have been a much longer learning curve. Worth it for me, will consider other tutorials.

The best part about the videos from macprovideo.com is that you are often taken into places in the software that you would not have explored on your own. The tutorials are comprehensive and inspire creativity as you learn new uses for the tools you own but otherwise wouldn't have fully understood how to use.

I liked the tutorial very much. The trainer is great! I would be however 100 % satisfied if he broadened his explanations to general theories or things to keep in mind when mixing R&B.He seemed to be a bit too focussed on that one song.

This is a level 1 training and it certainly covers the material in sufficient detail. My preference is to cover the main elements at a high level and then be able to do deeper dive afterwards - this course takes one through serially to a pretty deep level at each step. film nr 8 frustrated me. The re-linking assets didn`t work for me. There seem to be differences between the english version and the german version. Especially in the short-cut menu. If I press the right button - nothing happens... But overall: if there wouldn`t be your tutorials I couldn`t understand the software so quickly.

This course was very useful for me. I never understood Beat Detective and this course explained all the fine details. I would have never thought of some of the techniques presented on my own. It truly showed me how powerful Beat Detective really is.

I have only listened to the first few parts of the tutorial, but I find it very clear, well paced and informative. The tutor's voice is very easy to listen to and it gives the impression that he is speaking to you personally as opposed to narrating a script. I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the program.

The Tutorial of DVD Studio Pro 101 offers more than I´ve been expecting.

Training is well thought out and presented at the right pace. Much better than trying to read books at a slow pace. I could immediately most aspects of the training and was constructive from the start. Other in depth material covered was easily found and applied. Well done!

Hi there, I watched the video tutorials several times now and it's really so helpful that it makes working with elastic audio within Pro Tools so much more easier for me. What I really like is that it's chopped up in many items (42 in thi case) and if I only want to know something about 1 thing I can quickly navigate to that section and watch it again. The pace of teaching is good (no quick talker) and also the quality of the vids are OK. So a big thumb up from me. Cheeers Hans

Guys! Looks like I wasted my dollars ordering a tutorial book on iMovie'09 and Aperture 2.0 as your Tutorials could never be matched in a book. I seemed to be getting nowhere with my iMovie as I am used to the time-line type format. Now,at last,thanks entirely to your TUTs I am making good progress. Same for Aperture I guess as I was having trouble with how to use folders etc correctly. Thanks heaps

Garageband '09 101 is well paced, very thorough, good visual presentation and quite informative. Although much information is included in 101, it leaves you wanting more. When will the next course be available? What are the differences in Gband and Logic Express, so a progressive student can advance to the next level?

This Video is excellant. It demystified the entire mastering process for me and gave me the full confidence to start applying it to all of my music. There was more information in here then there was in my school for recording engineering.

About 1/3rd of the way through and I have already learnt many new features, shortcuts, ways of doing tasks differently from the way I knew already etc.etc Excellent. I am sure the next 2/3 will be as informative.

Three hours of lessons in a classroom,one is liable to forget a lot of stuff. Then one goes home,alone,no teacher arround to fill up the missing gaps that one finds when trying to recall the lessons. Good intro to mastering tools with some concrete examples. Would have like a bit more emphasis on eq'ing mixes, dealing with specific mastering problems (vocals, drum balancing, etc.). Nice to have sample song, but having a couple of other examples of different types of material would help to broaden the learning.

This is an superb video tutorial. Having just purchased Final Cut Express I found the tutorial very informative and helpful. I would have liked more on compositing and green/blue screen in the video. Still, a very good bunch of lessons. I find it great to look things up while doing a project though it's hard sometimes to remember all the little details. Five Stars!!

Overall - fantastic! Loved the practical examples that were given, especially in relation to the gain plugin, dither, linear phase vs minimal phase EQ, and the multimeter. I'll definitely be saving my pocket money toward more of these tutorials. Great Job!

it's a good tutorial perhaps a bit too long in the historical part. It could be a good thing that you keep in mind logic is a huge software needing a precise approach of any feature. To be honest, I got this video because reading the Logic manual seemed so daunting. Now, not only do I know a lot about recording in Logic, but I know where to look in the manual if I need something. This has been a very helpful tutorial for getting me the basic skills I need to record and mix in Logic.

There's a lot of material in the video training course and I haven't completed it yet, but so far most what I have watched are covering things that I already knew. I hope that the course will get more into how to set compressors and the other tools/plug-ins used for mastering. I did learn how to read some of the scopes and meters

this is quite a complicated subject but is well illustrated with graphics and aural examples. sometimes though i wish he would give us a little more time to compare before and after the effect before speaking again as changes to the sound can be quite subtle and to the untrained ear it is not always obvious.

This video tutorial was kind of hit and miss for me. I have only had my mac for three months, having always been a PC Windows user. I found certain segments of the video did not take into account updates to OS X made since this tutorial was made. Even though there was helpful knowledge to be had, some of the topics covered left me a little confused as to their relevance for me the new user. I was left with many unanswered questions like, "I used to do this in Windows, so how do I do it in OSX......

I've just gotten through my first look at the Mastering Overview. It has cleared up several concepts and words I did not have a handle on. Very good examples of how things work, conceptually. I will really use this along side finalizing the work I'm doing in Logic. The concepts will be valuable when using Pro Tools, too.

I watched the entire training without using the program. Now I intend to go back and use the tutorials side by side with Logic. Very good job on learning the ins and outs of the program. I didn't know about several of the features, but now I'm looking forward to putting the training to use. Nice job Martin.
