Working With Audio

Utter confidence after finishing this course! Great job Mr. Jones!! Good gig MacPro!!!
-BPGeez
Great review of motion templates. I'd love to see another one that gets deeper into transparencies and masks with transitions, but this one goes over the basics at a good speed and is enough to get you started.
-Vasco
This was a very interesting and informative course. I learned new approaches to create a logo and ways to improve them.
-Mr Taylor
Excellent course. The Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass is an absolutely fantastic tool for getting extremely realistic bass guitar sounds. And this tutorial shows just how easy it is to use.

Mixing EDM Tracks
Apr 16, 2014
Another excellent course from Mo. Everything is so well explained in such detail that you immediately understand what is being done and how to use the technique in your own materials. At the same time the explanations are straight to the point. This is a fantastic accompaniment to Mo's Mastering Course.
-Anthony
I don't think this tutorial could've been done much better.. Always learn a lot from the Ninja! Good gig MacPro!
-BPGeez
Great tutorial. Mo is an excellent teacher. He goes just slow enough for you to follow, but fast enough to keep it interesting. Would love an in-depth look at the sampling functions.

I´m still new to Logic and also to MPV.com. But now - after seeing several courses now I think I can compare. good: - this is another very informative course, and I learned a lot - thank you! :-) - the teacher speaks in a relaxed quiet mood - for me this is a good climate to learn - I think the course outline is good and it gives a good overview could be better: - the teacher sometimes (too often for me) speaks too fast and also mumbles a bit (since I´m no native english speaker I didn´t un...

Great bass set up for todays music and tips for making a drum loop library using Logic's drummer track. Must see.
-jimmy jagger
After the course, I discovered that BreakTweaker is an Incredibly well thought out & versatile software that could quite possibly REPLACE a DAW if used properly! Bill was detailed (but not to the point of boredom) He keeps this mind-boggling beast of a plugin tamed with humorous examples that get straight to the point, and at times manage to put a smile on your face. A great course for any experience level and not discouraging like some 15 hour tutorials that trail off into rabbit holes. Feature...

Exploring Kontakt 4
Apr 14, 2014
Just got Konakt, and needed a primer. This is a great course overall. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that there are times when not enough information is given. I'll give one example: There's a lesson toward the end about banks, and changing instruments within banks by sending a program change message. But it is never explained how that is accomplished. One other beef is that a great portion of the time is spent on the stand-alone instrument, and I will almost never use Kontakt as a stand-...

Another fantastic course from Olav. With this course you can go from not knowing anything about bitwig to creating a full track.

Mac OS Security
Apr 13, 2014
Very complete course. Especially like the keychain section where I learnt how to use it. All along the course, the tutorials are short and very easy to understand. Thanks for the great work, help me reconsider my computer habits!!
-Daniel
Excellent course! I am just beginning to produce music and thus beginning to learn Logic Pro. After studying the complete course and also passing the not too easy exam I can clearly say: this course is didactical very well made. It's packed with lots of well explaining pictures and graphics - just right to understand everything easily. Also: the speaker is in a good mood and makes nice jokes. Here I had a lot of fun while learning. :-) I don´t speak english natively but could understand (almo...

KONG: King of Drums
Apr 12, 2014
This is "The best" source for learning " KONG" in reason. Each tutorial is less than 4 minutes. A must have tutorial for the beginer as well as experienced user.
-OTHA MCGEE
Nigel does it again with another fantastic tutorial. I am pretty familiar with Drummer and have actually found some new ways I haven't seen in any tutorial to do things; but this tutorial introduces some very interesting ideas, particularly with the ODE to the old skool beats - that was very creative and original. I loved this tutorial.

Mastering Toolbox
Apr 11, 2014
It was very good to learn a simple way with this tutorial. Basic and advanced concepts in the art of mastering. Thanks Matt Hepworth and macProVideo for this excellent course. Best quality all the time. Please make more course of CUBASE 7.

I really like the relaxed style of Geoffs courses! It really helps to keep on learning. Thanks!
-MarkL74
Fantastic once again. I have followed the Music Theory series, and all I can say is I know more now about the theory of music than I have ever. There is so much valuable information here that I'd have to come back to these tutorial a few more times to get it all in. The course is worth every second spent.

Song Form
Apr 10, 2014
I'm absolutely loving these Music Theory courses. This Song Form course is the perfect accompaniment to the Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm courses. I'll be going over to the Bassline and Chord Progression courses, and then revisiting all of these again until the information is embedded in my medula. 5*s all the way.

One more great tutorial, I just can't get enough! This really shows how to control and manage a Facebook page. It covers everything I need to know about promoting my music via Facebook. I have just promoted my website via Facebook for the first time thanks to this tutorial. Before I was a scared to it, but not now :-) Thanks :-)
-Thomas Zinther
While I'm not really a dance music maestro (More Singer/Songwriter) I found Nigel Broads articulation of the EDM very interesting and elucidating.

Rhythm
Apr 9, 2014
Fantastic course. I'm pretty familiar with rhythm; but this course made very apparent, quite a few things I was doing; and I'm now able to apply my knowledge of rhythm into my compositions, rather than just free-styling. This course has been of tremendous help.
-Anthony
Harmony
Apr 9, 2014
Another outstanding course, and a good follow-up to the melody course. There is so much I have learned. And I have decided to go back to both courses before progressing to the Rhythm course, for getting the best possible out of these courses.

Can a tutorial get any better?!? NM i found an A to my Q in this Q&A, the A is no, I am actually attempting to learn more than just final cut from this guy, i'm trying to pay attention on the details of presentation this man is using. IDK why or how, but these tutorials are far superior to ANY tutorials I have ever seen. Clear, precise, information packed... and yet in a way i feel in no time at all i just understood years worth of trial and errors I tended to arrive at by watching random mater...
-Psyzmixx
Five Stars all the way. I've taken this course a few times now, and every time I do, I learn something new.
-Anthony
This is a fantastic course. I started a while back but took a break to get a vocal sample and make a track that I could use to follow this tutorial. I learn best by trying it first hand. All I can say is, this has been a great experience, and I will be making reference to this tutorials in future.
-Anthony
An excellent course. I got the demo so I could go along with this course, and it proved very interesting indeed.

Quick Start Guide

Excellent overview... I am first time and I have learned what reasons can do...
-SparkyG
After seeing an excellent demonstration of Push by TecBeatz at SXSW, and spending an hour or so with it myself I made the leap and added Push to my production arsenal. This video aided me in getting up and running and productive with Push. Noah Pred was excellent and clear with his presentation of the material. As a beginner with Push this video went at a great pace and there was no information overload. EXCELLENT!!!
-UrbanPrayz
A nice introduction course into designing logos, some very useful tips for working a logo from beginning to the end.

ES2 Exposed
Apr 7, 2014
Great course covering everything about the ES2.. The quality of the video resolution was a little bit lower than usual; it seems to be an older course. Excellent quality instruction and information, however!
-Neil
An interesting course looking at the basics of advertising design with a look at the process of designing a client logo.
-Wibbers
Great overview of Cubase, great pace and excellent instructor. I recently purchased Cubase 7.5 but found MANY gems in this tutorial.
-Sam
Jeremy's passion for instruction and the advancement the art is truly infectious. I eagerly await every installment of "Jeremy Style" and look forward to stealing his approaches for years to come. Thanks Jeremy Ellis!
-Daniel in Denver
Very good tutorial. I learnt synthesizer history with a lot of interest and without annoying stuff that usually came with historical course :). I was always curious and forced to press next to watch a new video.
-Daniel
Genius! This tutorial is the best money I have ever spent. I've been a long-time logic user, but always used Finale for notating my parts and scores. I now feel confident enough to produce my parts and scores in good 'ol Logic Pro, and am seriously considering abandoning my love-hate relationship with that 'other' piece of software. Viva Logic Pro, and Viva Peter Schwartz!!!!!
-Airforceguitar
Working in 3D
Apr 4, 2014
It went quickly, at the right pace. Sure, I'd like to have seen more, it but was enough to find out how to do things in motion, and to understand how 3D works and what the limitations of the software is in 3D. I only wish the software had real 3D modelling capabilities, but the 3D capabilities it does have are covered well in this tutorial.
-Vasco
I love how you explained in the course overview how you explain that EDM entails all dance-music genres such a techno, trance, electro etc. That made the tutorial much more appealing to me, since I am not so fond of the uninspiring formula-based commercial "EDM" you hear everywhere. Thanx for the tips!
-Robert
Song Form
Apr 3, 2014
This is a good starter if you're completely new to writing any kind of music, with enough material to help you analyse and mimic the more common forms. Would love a more advanced class on this Gregg!
-Carrion Fowl
Great Explanation, thank you guys. You cannot beat this at this price point

Advanced Kontakt 5
Apr 2, 2014
Another very good course following on from the previous Kontakt one. Much more meat in this one - looking forward to building my own instruments now. The presenter needs to find a new word to replace "robust" though.
-Wibbers
It doesmexactly that, introduce the new features in Live 9. They also did it so new user understand whats happening. I learned good video.

Producing Hip Hop
Mar 30, 2014
This was an awesome course! Already it has changed the quality of my sounds with the use of reverb and other fx. So many things I have learned about Logic Pro, producing as well as lite mixing to help in the production process. I would have loved to see further tutorials on how to bounce each individual processed track into tracked-out stems for further mixing in a professional studio. To include fx that are not recommended when sending off for final mixing. Awesome course!

Massive: Essentials
Mar 28, 2014
Great beginner's course. I was a preset warrior before taking this, but now I've already created a number of compositions with all custom sounds!
-Christopher Pendergraft
Matt is excellent at presenting the material. Looking forward to his other Maschine tutorials.
-Sam
I thought this course was going to teach me from THE BEGINNING about Abelton Live since I'm new to Abelton. I've been a Logic user and wanted to learn more about Live. It only showed me what was NEW to Live but I followed along and am MORE INTERESTED in LIVE than EVER!!! It looks super cool and I'm eager to get started. I will learn the basics in the Live 8 tutorials and then finish up with 9!!! Super informative and a great way to teach!! LOVE LOVE LOVE all around!!
-Lady Coleco
Great course. At some points, it gets slow by saying unnecessary things like "final cut pro makes things easy" and calls database kind of stuff fun. But, it's very useful. Some of the material, like compound clips and auditions, is covered in more detail and more clearly on the editing courses. Overall, very useful. It's a dry subject, and you'll probably need some experience trying to make your own short films before understanding what's going on.
-Vasco
Animating Effects
Mar 27, 2014
Excellent and fun way to learn about some of Motion's animation tools, from keyframes to behaviours. I'd like something that goes more into detail on how to make some specific situations, like smoke, but this tutorial says how to use the tools available and see what's under the hood. Thanks.
-Vasco
Love the 2 Authors working together. I watched the whole series from Quick Look -104 and I was actually disappointed that it was over. I learnt twice as much in half the time compared to other online tutor courses I've watched. I would really like to see more from Eric & Elisabeth.
-Aaron Bell
I like the course is amazing I am looking forward for more new updates in future you guys doing great job this is really big deal for people who are interested to learn about pro tools logic Cubase abelton etc keep up the good work guys ps
-shahrooz john bigonah
Superb tutorial!! For me as a newcomer to Native Instruments and of course Maschine. This course is packed with content, Mo really knows his stuff, taking you step by step into the software, explaining all the hidden parts of Maschine, and giving you tips and tricks along the way This is one of many ,of Maschine tutorials,I will be coming back to!
-David
Michael's course is very clear and very intuitive. Where it excels is with Auditions, Secondary Storylines and Compound Clips. I now feel very comfortable with FCPX. I would appreciate a lesson on customising the keyboard as some of the keys on my AZERTY need to be re-assigned in order to function.
-Sebastian Dewsbery
Get Started Now!
Mar 25, 2014
This was a really great precursor that highlights the very basics and capabilities of Final Cut Pro X.
-Fearn
Very helpful, learned a lot from this. Also, very nice and calm explaining but not mono-tone at all. Would be cool to have seperate tutorials for just Mac, iPhone or iPad if you just want to focus on one but I don't want to complain. Thanks a lot for the vids!
-Kostis
Go Live With Live 9
Mar 23, 2014
Great! Lots of ideas are covered. I had to pause and rewind to follow the steps at times - not a problem, however, because I prefer content I have to review if I didn't catch it initially. Showing the use of the MIDI controller was also helpful to see what that all entailed. Also, this instructor is very encouraging in a fun way.
-Substance D
Mastering Toolbox
Mar 23, 2014
A slightly updated version of the Mastering in Cubase course for Cubase 5.0. Excellent in its own right and highly recommended to those who have not seen the earlier version, but not worth paying for a second time if you have already downloaded the earlier version.
-Wibbers
Great Course, Also done by one of those instructors that just keeps you having fun while telling you what you need to know at the same time... Thanks
-Dan
Excellent course, very precise and detailed for learning many of the most important features

Mixing Toolbox
Mar 20, 2014
Great set of tutorials. This guy is always great. I've watched a lot of Cubase tutorials by different people, and this guy with four names is always the best. I've never been a mixer, but i have to do it so often by necessity. I'm getting great results. He shows so much cubase stuff I never knew was there.
-Lincoln
good help at learning program. easy start and I thank you for that !!!!

Don't hesitate. This is worth every penny. Thorough, creative and extremely helpful. You need this. If you go through this, you will enter into a much higher level. As I wrote, don't hesitate, get it. It is a revelation.

The ART of EDM
Mar 17, 2014
Perhaps there are more efficient ways to do things at times regarding the work flow, but on the whole this course was very insightful, engaging and rapid! Thanks for a great course!
-Tnee
I really like all the fcpx courses but 105-20 on animation, i can not figure out how to select the image i want to move. it just moves the whole picture. but i am learning a lot from this course.
-allison
This is a great course. I learned a ton. The broad priciples are also applicable to Google Sheets and Excel for windows. Now I just hope that Tamás will follow up this course with a more advanced Excel for Mac course!
-Mr.S
I absolutely loved this tutorial. It has inspired me so much. If you've ever thought about working with adds that will give you an idea of what the job really is about.
-BHamester
A necessary starting point for using Photoshop CS6 or CC, this course takes you through the key parts of the PS interface. PS has such a robust set of interface features, the methodical process of going through them step-by-step is probably the best way to introduce them. If you are using Photoshop for the first time, certain concepts lack context (i.e. the application of masks) or even the use of layers. However, the instructor avoids more advanced topics and interface elements, for the most pa...

I enjoyed watching this tutorial, It was well done and straight to the point!

Mark Gatter is my new favourite tutor, yes!(Sorry Steve H :) ) Awesomely simplified, informative, engaging introduction to Design Principles and Elements! Thank you!

Quick Start
Mar 16, 2014
excellent course, it just helped me to start with cubase right out of the box.
-fatih
Very happy with this course. Studio Drummer had been sitting on my hard drive for a while, and I really wanted to start using it. This tutorial is great! It got me up and running in no time. I particularly liked the parts on channel settings and output configuration. I use Ableton Live (the course covers Logic) but that was no problem. Thanks a lot.
-tormodg
Excellent tutorials. Use of graphics and Logic GUI really clarified signal flow concepts and how to use the Logic mixing board. Both entertaining and instructive. I give it 5 out of 5. Nice job Peter!
-Tom Daigon
Great course on typography basics, easy to follow, can inspire ideas for further experimentation and learning.thank you

Dynamics
Mar 15, 2014
For the length of the course it's a fair overview about compression. I guess a full guide on how to for dynamics would require several hours on the subject, so if bear that in mind this is a great course.
-BHamester
Nice and easy explanation this will be great for someone who just started (like me) into iOS development. Learned about lot of core details about the framework and process of writing apps.
-Zee
Nice intro course to the new version of logic. Takes you all the way from start to finish so it's quite helpful.
-Ben
This course is simply amazing! I couldn't imagine that mastering could be so enjoyable. Easy to follow and understand, I really liked the tips and the plugins presented here. Since it's about mastering, I recommend to not listen to this course with a 1$ headphone or speaker.

MIDI Demystified
Mar 14, 2014
This is an excellent course. I thought I knew 'at least' the basic principles of midi and this course slapped me in the face. Wonderful job on dumbing things down while still using midi lingo. I would most certainly recommend this course to others.
-Michelle C.
Another great video by J.E. great for those who want to learn how to setup a live performance. You definitely need to know the basics on how to use Maschine 2.0 to understand this video, it will make things easier. Shows his workflow and ideals that you may be helpful in your own workflow. This video also shows you some sampling and mapping techniques as well as how to setup up macros and some some sound designing. I've been a hobbyist "designer" for many years but I never bothered to learn any foundational color theory. This tutorial filled in a couple gaps and I picked up a few pointers that will definitely stick with me. I really enjoyed Mark's presentation style as well.

The ART of EDM
Mar 12, 2014
Olav is the man! The work flow is very fluent and the knowledge of the controls in each section is briefly but clearly explained great course!
-Piper
This is great gear. Important info flies by very rapidly - perhaps too rapidly sometimes. In saying that, the fast tempo did make for an engaging course!
-Tnee
That was everything I wanted to know, neatly and conciesly packed into just under 1.5 hours. Peter is funny, clever and above all extremely insightful.

Melody
Mar 11, 2014
Another handy course from Gregg covering quite a bit of ground, with nice examples of scales and modes to get you started on exploring what can be a confusing subject. Love his teaching style.
-Carrion Fowl
I've always been Fascinated with Synthesizers, after watching this whole series, I can now look at most Synthesizers and have a basic knowledge on how they work and a foundation to manipulating them. Marks passions for synthesis really shine through in these tutorial, I recommend these series to anyone whose new to synthesis like myself and want to really Dig in and get some knowledge about Synthesis.
-mooshi3000
Great course. The only way to learn how to create sounds on a synth is by watching other people doing it. I can see myself using many of the sounds he teaches in this tutorial.

Mixing EDM Tracks
Mar 10, 2014
The best mixing video so far. Everything is well organized and easy to follow. I will sure put it in action on my mixes and will definitely watch the mastering course as well. Thanks a million for this course. See you on the next videos.

ES2 Exposed
Mar 10, 2014
Awesome tutorial. Steve H. is an ace on teaching. Full of the usual silly jokes, but teaches everything you need to know about the EX2. Amazing Synth.
-BHamester
I bought this course to try it out and see if I could learn anything new (obviously). I have been using Reason for a little over 4 years now, and I do have to say that this video didn't really expose any new tricks for me to use. I will say that it did inspire a couple of ideas that I tried out though. I did want to give it four stars, but I also find that there is a lack of explanation of why certain effects were chosen, or how they work. These videos might be good for a beginner, if you wa...

Live DNA!
Mar 9, 2014
Another great course by the instructors in this group. I almost wanted to say this would have been nice to have in the earlier courses but i can see now how after working with the other tutorials this fits well as a 200 level course. If you new to Ableton this is definitely a must see.
-Dan
A good review of Live's new features, especially the audio to MIDI and compressor features. Enjoyed it!
-Brett C
Thank you Olav! A very smooth script with lots of musical examples. I did learn quite a lot. Thank you.
-Miguel
All I can say is AWESOME! ... great course, especially for musicians that aren't drummers.
-Dan
To start: these are a good set of videos. They cover what you want to know. However, the narrator is the sort that takes a long time to develop a point, and scurries down many tangents. He covers every keyboard shortcut you might encounter while working in a drum rack, how to multi-select midi notes in clip view, why you should compress layered kicks, and how to use a low freq rolloff on every track. If you noticed, some of these concepts don't apply just to a drum rack, and have their own v...

Fairly decent course! I would like to dive a little bit further to monetization and to how google actually pays you.

Recording Guitars

I was looking to for explanations and how-tos for recording acoustic guitars. This doesn't provide it. Little explanation, a few samples without explanation and a presenter that may know lots but he can't/doesn't explain anything. For example ORTF Technique. What does it stand for? Well it is the title of a chapter here but you won't find an answer. Very disappointed.
-Colin
Most useful course. Thanks for the great knowledge. I suggest this course to everyone.

Short and sweet but very complete tutorial with little useful tricks! Thanks!!

Thought this was even better than Gregg's intro to Jazz because it covered a lot more ground in a much deeper/more practical manner. Huge array of ideas/techniques to practice/adapt.

Advanced Kontakt 5
Mar 6, 2014
Un très bon tutoriel pour Kontakt, si vous comprenez l'Anglais. Très bonne explications , qui donnent le gout d'aller plus loin. Peut-être pourrait-on aller encore plus loin dans un autre cours supplémentaire. Merci encore !

Mixing EDM Tracks
Mar 5, 2014
I think this is one of the best mixing courses on LPV. Having watched a few, I still got some fresh perspective and tips from Mo Volans, who is clear, eloquent and to the point as an instructor. I recommend heartily this course to anyone interested in in-the-box mixing.
-Pecchan
This is exactly what I needed. This makes now more sense and much clear in my sleepy head. I love when it is teaching in a funny way. I laughed so much. Thanks a lot for this. I want more.
-Cherif
I watched this whole course in two days. I learned a lot! Was very informative and useful.
-warrioress
Great speaking style, very comfortable pace, nice attitude/tone. I can hear genuine enthusiasm which contributes to making things interesting. Well done.
-Stefan
This is a great set of tutes that covers all the basic definitions, history & fundamentals of jazz in a practical & fun style. Nice simple approach to scales/chords/methods for improvising...now to practice!
-Carrion Fowl
Some good advice for beginners but the magazine format made watching several tutorials in one sitting rather a repetitive experience.
-Wibbers
This is a great tutorial. Coming from Live 8, it is nice to quickly learn many of the new features in live 9 and put them to use while watching the video.
-Papa Squat
Great course! Learned a ton about Thor, Reason and synths in general. Very good video.
-Glen
Good tutorial which explain in details the functionality of the software. Would have like to have more DJ tricks with the software and hope Olav will make a part 2. But very well done. Thanks.
-Daniel
Great series. It goes through every plug-in Pro Tools has to offer, in great detail. It's a must see for any user, at any level.
-Alton R.
Another great tutorial,by Mo. I have a few of his courses, and Mo's easy going style and vast knowledge ,is unique. This course shows you how useful and powerful Guitar rig is,not just for Guitars, but a whole wide range of instruments, vocals, etc, etc. This is another cracking tutorial, packed with content. I cannot wait to use Guitar rig,and its components in my work.
-David
This is a GREAT course. I have never left feedback before, but this one really deserved it. This is a topic that can be quite a hassle to take care of learning. It's not particularly interesting and we all think we can just wing it. The truth is, the way we manage content is the reason for a project going smoothly or painfully. I also love that this course goes into some detail about how Final Cut Pro X looks at files and some of the codecs for different cameras. It doesn't just stick to the app...
-Jon
This is a VERY helpful course for those new to design and typography. As a video editor - this really gave me great insight and understanding into the type of work I receive from art directors and agencies when working on a project.
-Taryn Calverey
I am very satisfied with Michael's teaching style. He is a great communicator. I have found his tutorials to be a very effective way to learn new software. Thanks Michael and MacProVideo!
-Greg
Excellent instruction! One of the best here on MPV. Instructor is very knowledgable and takes the time to really break things down.

Producing Hip Hop
Feb 26, 2014
This course is best suited for someone getting started with Logic and who doesn't have full membership to MPV. As an experienced Logic user I didn't get much out of it and a lot of information is already presented in other courses. That being said, it's not a bad course in any way - just not for me. The information is clearly presented with a couple of extra tricks. Recommended for anyone looking for their first course in production with Logic in this style.
-Pecchan
These Cubase courses are an absolute godsend. I have spent ages trying to untangle Cubase by a book, but this makes it all so clear, and refreshes the important bits of information in a helpful way that doesn't interrupt the flow. I have Cubase running on one monitor and MacProVideo on the other, so I can copy what Matthew is doing on my own screen. A great learning tool!
-Anthony Travis
Control Voltage

Rhythm
Feb 25, 2014
Great course that goes over many of the basics of rhythm! Also compares/contrasts the different styles of music and how they relate to each other with rhythm.
-Neil
This course helped me take a bit more of an organic approach to manipulating the ES2. The approach was more of a "feel" thing rather than a concrete-number angle. I've already gotten some great success just messing around in the general way that our instructor approached it by. Pleasantly surprised by the outcomes and happy accidents I developed while using his techniques!
-Ariel Perez
The detail on Fusor could have been better and could have gone a bit deeper. Good overview however, and well presented in a clear style.
-Brett C
Good course, especially the first section which looks at some common mistakes made when programming drums.
-Wibbers
Great course for any music enthusiast!! Not only does it cover jazz theory, it also explains many different scales and musical patterns that can apply to any genre of music.
-Neil
Great course!! Lots of tips and tricks about how to design the sounds you want using Logic's Amazing ES2!!

I'm a newcomer to Native Instruments, and bought this tutorial to,arm me with enough knowledge of Massive,to get me going and making my own sounds I have a few of Mo's other tutorials, and there are great!! So this one was a no brainer for me. Massive is truly that, but under Mo's careful guidance,I can known get stuck in and create my own sounds. After watching this series, I now see how lean and mean "Studio One" is, Gary gives a very comprehensive explanation of how to get around Studio One, awesome overview.
-mooshi3000
Thanks for an amazing tutorial. I've been waiting for this one for years and didn't even know it. Everything is relevant, clearly explained and done so in good detail. If you are new to Logic, this and Core Logic 8 (I know it's dated but I have not seen Logic Pro x 101) are full of everything you need to know. Explained a lot of things that stumped me in my day to day use of using Logic. I really hope there is a follow up and can't wait to see more tutorials from Peter. On top of everything else...

Lots of great tips particularly on ways to use keywords and metadata.

Killer Sound Design
Feb 23, 2014
Not a bad course, but found many of the examples lacking depth. I wish more detail would have been explained in the examples.
-Randy
Amazing course, he covers every aspect in an easy to understand fashion.
-AbletonAddict
Great course for getting familiar with the tools of this software. It clearly show you the power of the built in tools that can easily get users new to music production and audio engineering started in the right direction. Thanks!!

Quickstart Guide
Feb 23, 2014
Excellent introduction to Lightroom. I'm using Lr 5 but I found that all of the concepts presented by Martin were applicable. His explanations of the various features were straightforward and easy to understand and follow along.
-Steve
Another great course by BB. Keeps it fun and exciting even on the simplest of features and lessons.
-Dan
EXCELLENT FOR STARTERS ... LOVE IT ... The way to explain everything in simple words as working on design mode makes everything a lot easier to understand and keep engaged to content.

Mastering Your Mac
Feb 20, 2014
This is a nice way to get more knowledge about the programs on my Mac. Nice that some of the instructors are making jokes. It's easier to listen to it that way. It would be nice, if you have an account, that you can download a couple of courses to listen to if you have no internet connection.
-John Pijnappel
This is a great course, it was a great guide to getting to know a little about wavelab, however a lot of the information about mastering or wavelab tools directly related to mastering was inaccurate or misleading, particularly in the language and use of terms. in the mastering world we almost never use the word "volume" that is a highly misused consumer term. and he often used the word interchangeably with "level" and "monitor level". in pro audio, the word level is used to describe any value ...
-Connor Krummick
As a video novice I found this brief introduction to subjects such as pixel ratio and interlaced video very useful. I'm looking forward to the rest of the courses in this series.
-Wibbers
Short and sweet! Lots of good info for using the arp and all it's cool new features to control things in logic. The part on using it with the drums gave me a lot of new ideas.
-Ben
A useful guide to chord and progressions, etc. Very handy for going back to basics and brushing up on your theory!
-Wibbers
Really enjoyed the review I certainly learned a few things I didn't know, I mainly watched so I could learn how to use the F1 better, He explains it a lot easier than reps from NI I thought, and I got a better sense of fluent robust feel on controlling the controller. Very useful!
-N8VEMERCAN
As expected from SFlogicninga an excellent tutorial. I particularly liked the info on mastering.
-Andrew Dorsett
Great course on audio recording. Easily one of the must watch in orde to become a better sound engineer.

Go Live With Live 9
Feb 18, 2014
Pretty Legit Course. I can see it being rough for people with no Ableton Experience though. I would just have in the caption of 100 and 102 course to make sure users went through the Ableton manual and tutorials first. It helps alot.
-Dan
I thought I just need to learn about mastering but after watching this course found out there is so much I did not know, if you stuck in your ways of doing thinks this may be the for you to breath new light on to things and also show you 1 or 2 things you did not know that may help in your production, very well made course packed with info thats hard to come by
-mellow
I'm sure lots of people have watched videos from various sources but I have to say that this course was particularly informative. While I knew a lot of what was being taught, I learnt more about eq'ing and the various types of compression usage. Knowing that I was on the right track with my own productions has allowed me to approach mixing with a lot more confidence. Many thanks.
-Mark
Bill is my fave teacher because he begins from the bottom up & covers not only the HOW but the WHY of production techniques. Delivered with great taste, warmth, and true individuality. Cheers Bill!
-Carrion Fowl
Rish did a great job. The video not only helped me get accustomed to ES2, but there were plenty of great sound design tips in there too. Certainly worth a watch.

Amazing course! If you've never had schooling in graphic design, like me, this course will be a fantastic adventure, albeit too short. I want more!!!

Monark Demystified
Feb 17, 2014
Nice little course, very basic though. It's more like a synth geography lesson for Monark, but fair for its purpose.
-BHamester
Oh yeah!! So hot this tutorial. I'm like a kid in a candy shop... Very very cool stuff into it I just can't stop until I finish it! Exactly what I wanted to learn. Nice job!!!
-Daniel
Very informative. I learned a lot, even though I've been playing around with Logic Pro X for months! Could use a little more volume on the actual instrument tracks versus the voiceover tracks.

Was just amazing to see this project come together then hear a finished project @ the end! Would love if the next tut in this series had a little more time for A/B listening in the mixing portion.. Good Gig MacPro!

Mastering in Cubase
Feb 16, 2014
Although presented with a Cubase 5 project, this is still well worth watching if using more recent versions of Cubase, as most of the details are still relevant. There is also a good deal of non DAW-specific mastering information that would be useful for anyone wanting to know about mastering on any equipment.
-Wibbers
MIDI Demystified
Feb 15, 2014
Midi Demystified, is a well laid out tutorial, for the advanced beginner or intermediate user of Midi such as myself, this here tutorial filed in some blank spots and concepts about midi that, I didn't have a full grasps of, until viewing this Course.

Keyboard Wizdom
Feb 13, 2014
Enjoying going through the lessons and seeing upfront his performances revealing his finger styling and technique. But I wish he gave more detail how he set up his sounds so we know what is required. He demonstrates on a Kurzweil but then performs on the Korg Triton. Is he using the built in sounds of the keyboard or he is hooking up to a DAW with vst plug-ins? If so which library is he using. For his final 3 performances is he going through prearranged presets triggered by his feet? Be...

I've been a fan of SFLogicNinja's tutorials since his YouTube days. This tutorial maintains his high level in every way. Packed with tips, hints and information even for an experienced Logic User. I will need to go back to this course many times to revise all the little things I missed on my first pass. Highly recommended.
-Pecchan
Very good explanations of synthesis. I loved the analogy for envelopes and how to figure them out mimicking samples!
-Jonas
Really great seeing a start to finish project like this one. If your interested in song writing and production you'll like this series
-DHave10
I knew a lot of the color theory already, but it was still a great refresh. The tools presented are all new to me and I already don't know how I lived without them.

Battery 4 Detonated
Feb 12, 2014
There are some sync issues which make it really hard to follow. Especially on Ep. 11 - the editor tab. What's happening on screen+the sounds from battery are about a minute off from the VO. So it's impossible to follow what's happen (thought I was going crazy for a second). Otherwise, good intro to Battery!

Feb 12, 2014
As always, Logic Ninja delivers! Very informative and covers a few creative ideas. Good gig MacPro!!

It was basically an art histort course and not really a 101 on Graphic Design as how I expected it. Although this information is interesting and could prove useful.

Remixing in Live
Feb 11, 2014
Watching Olav work on a track from beginning to end once through gave me at one go the gestalt and dozens of small cool things. 'Subtractive remixing' cool idea and now I am encouraged to take the twenty or so incomplete session view sketches and carve out a complete track. By the way, in other videos he has also taken the additive approach. Side chain compression - take mundane sounding chords and listen and learn how to make them pump. The edm form how to get the right build and brea...
-Joe
Another useful tutorial from SFLogicNinja. The topics in this course are not really music making but very relevant regarding sharing files and sessions. The part about mastering I felt was a bit lengthy, especially since the title of the course doesn't really mention that it contains information about mastering, but that too was still worth watching. Highly recommended.
-Pecchan
Great course !! I liked how it flowed from just an idea to a final production. The production technics and explanation for using them them was extremely helpful to me. I was a bit curious about the drums and percussions, were they done by a live drummer or software plug-in
-Joe
Well done, a professional, and greatly interesting overview of iPads potential, I look forward into seeing what can be done with 5th Gen iPad and the new 64 bit architecture now available with new garage band 2014!

The tutorial was very enlightening. It showed me quick ways to spice up my tracks. As well as authenticating and uploading tracks directly from the recording program to the internet. Im eager to get started right away!

Using mail in osx every day this sure comes in handy. Optimising workflows sure makes a good improvement in the daily work.

This had numerous tips to help with the Libraries format and storage of FCP 10.1. Ben also touched on so many other features I did not know existed in FCP. Showing how he personally uses the program was great. That is what I look for is workflow styles that I can adapt to my use. Thanks Ben *****
-Waxman
Excellent course!! An essential collection of tips and tricks for any Ableton user!
-Neil
I like the teacher, all very well explained. Not much to say, apart from good job!!!!
-Buffy
Showed me many features that I may not have discovered if had just gone trial and error. I like his teaching style too. The guy is clearly a musician and knows how to use these tools.

MIDI Demystified
Feb 9, 2014
Excellent course! It really helped me to understand the possibilities I have with all the different gear I own!
-Bob
Before I viewed this course, there were areas/plugins within Cubase I dared not touch because none of it made sense - I was intimidated by them. Matthew removed all my anxiety and empowered me to embrace things such as LoopMash FX, Groove Agent and even the Media Bay. I never knew (let alone felt comfortable with) how powerful/accessible Cubase was until Matthew showed me here. Invaluable!
-Stephen Letnes
I especially like the tips in the end of this tout. Good stuff they really helps.

Getting Organized!
Feb 6, 2014

Two really wonderful plug-ins that gets the attention they deserve. A great tutorial with lots of interesting details.
-Sebastian Nässén
Very basic but also very good explained. I have used mac os for several years but there is always something you miss!

This course explains very well. Though i'm still learn how to know the plugins the drummer when i first open a new create track. It's great.
-Xeng Lee
This was an excellent tutorial! Very clear in it's presentation, information was presented in digestible segments that were easy to understand and put to immediate use working on my MPC Studio. If you are trying to get familiar with the new generation of MPCs then you need to start here.
-Urban Prayz Productions
I won't say it isn't worth watching, but to be fair it's more of geography lessons of the synth than how to use it. The last 5 videos were like watching someone randomly play around the knobs rather than what they do or why they do what they do.
-BHamester
Excelent, everything very well explained, every little detail, I'm definitely going for the Advance Course over Kontakt, nice

Designing Timbres
Feb 5, 2014
This is a great series. Even if I don't own any of these synths I get a lot of ideas for sound creation and also a greater understanding of sound synthesis in general.

It's a good tutorial, although I think it could have more information about the EFM1 since FM is know as a very challenging way to create your own presets.

Iris Explored
Feb 5, 2014
Another clear and concise exploration. Nowadays when buying a new software, I watch a MacProVideo about it (if available) right away to get started quicker.
-Pecchan
All of Matthew's courses are excellent, but I found this one particularly helpful, dealing as it does with the more advanced midi functions and capability of Cubase. This has really encouraged me to delve into areas of editing that I have previously left well alone!
-Wibbers
Made me want to visit Venice. Enjoyed this introduction to graphic design very much, even as a novice. Will check out the next one for sure.

WordPress Basics
Jan 31, 2014
Good course, but it left me wondering how to upload the site I designed in Wordpress installed in my computer to Wordpress online.
-Harold Ward
Matt presents the topic well, but I was disappointed by the over all lack of depth. Particularly with Fusor's Animator which was glossed over very quickly. I was hoping to gain a little bit of expert knowledge and a deeper understanding of the software, but instead got a refresher course.
-Darren
A great insight into the new functionality and explained clearly in a way that anyone can understand!

Razor
Jan 30, 2014
I kind of did this on a whim, didn't know what to expect. I've always liked Razor presets and played around with them and liked them, but never considered how deep, flexible and unique of a synth it is. I'm blown away! What a clear tutorial with fun walkthroughs of completely different types of patches- bass, pad, lead, choir, even vocoder. All covered. I have a feeling Razor will be a mainstay in my arsenal for a long time. Thanks!
-nvaleri
Very informative but looking for something even more fundamental! Understanding the vocabulary is have the battle. Listened to many segments several times over to grasp concept and spent time doing additional research. I'll revisit the course.
-Vivienne
I really enjoyed this course, and learned a few new techniques for creating backgrounds with Illustrator.
-Mr Taylor
This tutorial does what it says on the box and does it fine. Whenever a new version of major music software like Live comes out, it's easy to overlook often simple but powerful new features. Reading about them in the manual sometimes doesn't contextualise what's so helpful about them. This tutorial adds that context and will no doubt inspire some ideas of your own on how to use the new features.
-Wade
Moldover's original Controlllerism vid got me performing live when I had no idea how I was gonna do that, and this 2014 Sound Control tute is an extended update on his ideas and techniques. There are lots of good suggestions here for ways you can manage and produce your ideas in Live 9 in tandem with hardware controllers. The most technical detail is probably given on the setup behind the Robocaster (midi + fx guitar). If you're a total newbie to controllerism, you may come away wanting a bit mo...

Olav's cool and calm way of describing walking you through the Logic application and techniques to edit audio is wonderful. A really nice tutorial that gives a ton of knowledge for both beginners and more experienced users.
-Sebastian Nässén
Steve H is always entertaining and knowledgeable. A really good walkthrough of all the ins and outs of the new version of Logic.

Battery 4 Detonated
Jan 29, 2014
Recently upgraded to Komplete but had never used Battery before. Feel like I know how to get around all areas of it now. Great tutorial.
-Rob S
I have been waiting for a tutorial like this for so long, and almost all of my questions are answered. I have tried for 2 years to use logic instead og Sibelius for my score work because of all the other possibilities Logic provides - and now I can, thanks to Peter's videos. It has cut my working time in half, and many hours of pulling my hair are over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
-Thomas Zinther
Great course for giving the fundamentals and tools to build from! Olav skips over some little points, but these you can simply investigate on your own. If you have the S2 or 4 though you'll need to do some self-discovery as its interface is not covered within this tutorial.
-Dason Johnson
Takes a while to get to the juicy bits but this is still a quick and informative tutorial.
-Earwig
info is good- but it is too wordy....I don't need to hear and see as many reps as are presented.... shorter and concise would be more appealing to me, as well as a better streamlined learning tool for me.
-liz
Another good course in this series about music business. I learned a heck of a lot of good information. Thanks.
-Mr Taylor
It's quite interesting to watch another artist form of composing. Everybody has a different way to start the creative process. I recommend.
-BHamester
Thanks David, that's a great introduction - easy to follow................
-Very Good introduction
Great course. Good workflow starting from the sketch, to session view, up to arrangement. Very good explanation. Thank you, Olav.
-Sid
Gary is just downright awesome! Taught me a great deal about this awesome program. Will review parts again to make sure I didn't miss anything. Can't wait to learn more. Thanks Gary! Keep up the great work! Thank you macPro Video as well!
-Michael C
Another very informative course in the music business series. I learned a lot and looking forward to the next class.
-Mr Taylor
This was a good course I learned a lot about royalties and copy write information that I did not know before.
-Mr Taylor
Lots of great information on signal flow within Logic. Applicable to all DAWs really.
-Rob S
Great Tutorial!! I'm coming from PC and was looking for the forward delete key... Also good to know how to get the keyboard key on screen and see what is hide behind each key. Very useful tutorial for me. :)
-Daniel
You'll definitely pick up a few new little tips and tricks in regards to mixing for this video. Loved the use of binaural panning.
-Rob S
Alligator
Jan 27, 2014
When the alligator is on, the sound is too much processed, maybe it's done on purpose to show the full effect, but I don't like the result. However, good to learn the "On" switch and volume at the bottom right to get sound.

The ART of EDM
Jan 27, 2014
This course is just great! The best logic course I have gone through so far because it really shows you to use logic to make music...Well done !
-Eric
I found a lot of useful tips in this tutorial, things I never would've thought of. I look forward to more of David's Logic tutorials.
-G.F. Big
Another excellent course from Matt, well up to the high standards of his previous Cubase tutorials. Essential viewing for anyone upgrading from Cubase 7.0.
-Wibbers
Awesome Course... Eric Freeman and Elisabeth Robson have done a great job. I am eagerly waiting to be part of their future courses(especially: java script programming, Design patterns,Html5 programming and other courses)
-BA
Very insightful look at the creative process from both the writing and engineering angle. A most impressive collaboration. Great job on this video...can't wait to see more
-Carey
Sometimes is not necessary hi end studio equipment , biggest producer in the world or super great musicians to create and record very nice and lovely song. Only one things is a matter - each person must know what to do and how. After watching all songcraft tutorials, for me in that video there was no secret revealed , but was big pleasure to watching how guys developed from one phrase and one riff whole song . I recomend for any one who interested about recording. Especially in home condition...
-Ruslan Polusotsky
This was another excellent WP course I learned a lot of good stuff and resources to continue learning. Thanks.
-Mr Taylor

Jan 26, 2014
I didn't realized the power of this effect. Thank you for this very useful course. Will surely use it a lot now!!

Exploring Kontakt 5
Jan 25, 2014
This was a great course. Thank you Matt for taking the time and laying everything out in such a clear and concise manner. I had Kontact Player that came with Strings Pro that I bought at GC. I watched this course in order to familiarize myself enough to effectively use the software. After watching the first two tutorials I was convinced that I would need to get the full version of Kontact. I ended up spending $100 more and got Komplete 9. I am so glad that I did. Thanks again, this is goi...

Monark Demystified
Jan 24, 2014
Great overview, covers the entire program in detail. Learned a lot, thanks!
-nvaleri
A very insightful course. I definitely learnt a great deal here, and will be coming back to try out a lot of what was taught here.
-Anthony
Great to see a musician of high esteem experimenting with Push , and refreshing to see someone from a non dance music background showing what can be done . I am already a believer in Ableton live , but many of my colleagues ( music educators ) dont see electronic music as a serious art form .... This course will definately help them too see the light ... I hope !!! thanks for an inspiring course.
-David Murray
Michael Wohl (FINAL CUT PRO X) - excellent course and brilliant tutor!!
-Andrew Green
Absolute Absynth
Jan 23, 2014
This is not for the faint of heart. Goes through EVERY DETAIL of the core controls of Absynth- a full tour of the software. However I imagine a lighter survey course would not do Absynth justice, deep as it is. If you really want to find out what makes this software tick, this is for you. Thanks for the great overview!
-nvaleri
Go Live With Live 9
Jan 23, 2014
Tutor was interesting, but for a 101 course I was expecting an introduction to music production in terms of track creation and recording rather than just on the live element only.
-Aidjay
I really enjoyed how this course covered the basic introduction to protools and also included an introduction to sound characteristics!.
-BC
Clear & concise. I really liked the explanation. Nicely organized. Great interface.
-Bob
WordPress Basics
Jan 23, 2014
This was another good course, I learned a lot about customizing and using Wordpress, and will continue with the next series.
-Mr Taylor
Very comprehensive tutorial to all things Break Tweaker. For the seasoned pro and newbie alike, this course will stir up the creative juices! Thanks BT and thanks Izotope!
-Jeffrey Adams
Great tips to get anyone started making music on maschine in no time!!!
-Arturo De Santiago
Again a very easy to follow and intuative course . Noah has a great delivery style . I learned a lot from this and am now addicted to Push .... Thanks Noah .

The ART of EDM
Jan 22, 2014
One of the best courses in the macprovideo library in terms of fun, creativity, number of "industry secrets" demystified, and just plain entertaining and warm personality- a huge winner. Every bit as good as Martin Sitter's classic core Logic videos.
-Justin Cash
A really nice view on the push from a great artist. Nice to see how you can learn to play the push and treat it as an instrument.
-Jonas
MIDI Demystified
Jan 22, 2014
Thank you for this great tutorial. It's really helpful to me to deepen my MIDI understanding - good examples, very good drawings and didactics. However, the attempted comedy parts and especially the producer were annoying and felt to me like a waste of time. I would prefer the information to be presented without distractions.
-Great tutorial - helped me a lot
Very basic but good if you want to get started with push. Very easy to follow along.
-Jonas
Very Practical, Very complete, Very well explained, just a little bit time wasting when at some points, because he doesn't go straight to the point, very it is a very good course in general
-Marlon Castro
Excellent course!! It covers a wide range of concepts and skills about signal flow in Logic X, and they can be applied to any studio setup!
-Neil
Core Omnisphere
Jan 21, 2014
Thanks for everything, especially for explaining the basics of synthesis!
-Gabriel BG
The subtleties of color correction can be easily overlooked. Getting it right is crucial for pro-level work. This is NOT an area to breeze over as unimportant. This training covers the top well. Better yet, there is a wealth of productive techniques covered that make this course MORE than color correction. The techniques and shortcuts for productivity (the sub-story) of this training are the real hero within. Lot's of note taking will pay off for this session. I'll be back for a refresher at som...

I thought it was very insightful for any beginner to grasp video techniques using their DSLR camera.
-Taryn Calverey
The Filter
Jan 20, 2014
Very interesting and made easy to understand! Also fun to see same thing on many different synthesizers.
-Jonas
Just great information about snap and drag. I use Logic already 3 years and just now find these functions. Thanks
-Povilas
It's so amazing observing the various ways different artists get inspired and creative. This is an amazing set of videos on creative writing. I have definitely learnt a lot, and been inspired.
-Anthony
This is a great tutorial. I was admittedly intimidated by this synth, and though it's still super complex I feel like I have a pretty basic grasp on what it can do, enough to jump in and start messing around. Very personable tone through the whole thing, which helps. Thanks!
-nvaleri
I dropped in out of curiosity and felt motivated to start drawing again after decades of neglecting that fun craft. Not sure if I will have the time to indulge and get up to speed to actually do storyboarding in the end, but I will certainly reference this tutorial a few more times for the drawing primers. Loved it!
-Till
If you record ever vocals, you NEED to watch this. It really is as simple as that!

Massive: Essentials
Jan 19, 2014
Excellent introduction to the vastness of Massive! Clear, concise and inspiring. Can't wait to get my hands dirty. Would love an advanced course that goes further!
-nvaleri
Awesome course Peter.. Direct and clear One of the best. Also enjoyed your Midi Demystified, another great course. Keep them coming.
-Michael LaForty
really in depth and informative. i learned a ton. i have been playing guitar for 24 years and i have come to find out =, you never know everything haha.

this course i know will help me and it has worked very well! please try it if your intrested in dubstep!
-just call me venom
Nice and easy entry level tutorial for people who want to learn a little bit about images and how they are used in web pages. Also covers some CSS and modifying images with style.
-C1ph3rd
Great Course. I just intended to watch the first chapter tonight, and ended up watching the whole course. Really nice to watch the process, and some specifics of engineering as well. Great song. Informative and inspiring course.
-Eric Thal
Truly enjoyed this course. Excellent information presented well, with a great sense of humor and style. Fantastic.
-William
thank you, thank you, thank you...absolutely brilliant, peter. very informative; just what i wanted to learn. i'll be spending hours with this course. ps, did i say thank you?!? cheers
-alx
Good overview of using Amplitube 3. Fairly high level - not much digging into the details.
-C1ph3rd
Another informative and entertaining tutorial, I was however hoping for a bit more depth in the topics covered (lot of topics not much depth). But really whet's the brainbuds to further study!
-Toby the Hat
Interesting look into the thought process of making music for games, including managing sounds in 3D environments and sound layering. Cool stuff!
-C1ph3rd
Good review of some of the basic things you will want to know to use your DSLR for video, including lenses, lighting, data management, etc.
-C1ph3rd
Great peek into writing a song with Bend Sinister. Also enjoyed engineer's notes on the mix.
-Ed Candeo
Very good course. Filled with great tips and a very hands on, practical approach. Recommended.
-Sebsteeno
From a beginners perspective I really enjoyed this and will have to dip back in to really grasp some of the key points. Matt does a great job of keeping the interest and not 'waffling'. I'd love to know the gear and workings of the tutorial shoot. Looking forward to the next course...
-Toby the Hat
This man is superb. Not only as a teacher/instructor, but as a person as well, I presume. Peter for president!
-Robart
Just great. When I started this course, I didn't know will it be useful for me or not. And first time I understand what are Busses for in Logic. Thanks :)
-Povilas
Great introduction to someone who has had very little exposure to the camera world. Informative and simple, on to the next course....
-Toby the Hat
Very clearly presented and helpful information. Highly Recommended.
-Harold Ward
I really liked this intro to organizing clips in FCPX. I thought it would be boring, but it really is essential to graps these concepts before diving into FCPX.
-Christian
This is an excellent course. There's so much packed into this package; and I doubt if there's anywhere else besides macprovideo.com that one would be able to get this kind of in-depth tutoring. Steve is fantastic.
-Anthony
Lots of useful information in this course about using Illustrator to manipulate 3D objects and designs.
-Mr Taylor
An excellent way to learn and review all the theory essential to songwriting. With examples, exercises built in, and a well presented cumulative knowledge base, this course took my writing to a more interesting harmonic level. Parallel diatonic minor chord substitutions are so useful and prevalent in music... You will hear the things you learn here everywhere!
-Trev
PROPER class! It cleared up so many little things that I originally was fuzzy on. Thanks for clearing that fog!
-Ariel Perez
This was another good course, I learned a little bit more about the capabilities of Adobe Illustrator.
-Mr Taylor
This was awesome. This course drove home some of the facts that were swimming in my mind from other courses and allowed me to put a couple of things into practice. The light manner in which the instructor teaches keeps the student not only engaged but also encourages the student to open up Logic and play along with him. I was able to dust off some of my plugins and while twisting and turning knobs like a small child, I was able to grasp understanding of what those knobs were called and what ...
-Rachelle
Love this tutorial, everything is explained in a way that anyone can understand... Keep it up!
-jordan
EQ
Jan 14, 2014
The course by no means will get you up and running on your own projects, however it is a great overview of what EQing is. There are many instances in which I realized that I do not yet have the ear to differentiate between the subtle changes in sound. If nothing else this course will show the student their strengths and weaknesses, so that they can go forth and get training to help them in these endeavors.
-Rachelle
Element Explored
Jan 14, 2014
Thanks, great tutorial. Buttom line is: This soft synth sounds so great. Don´t really miss Sylenth for now.
-Jan Due
This goes into all the aspects of color correction including using masks, etc. It is very helpful for anyone trying to master color correction in Final Cut Pro X
-T WIlliamson
The ART of EDM
Jan 14, 2014
Good course, but the title "The Art of EDM" is a bit misleading. When there's art in the title I thought it was going to be some sort of master class and not a step by step guide of how to create a fairly generic track. There a not a lot of techniques to be discovered, nor deep soundesign. Despite the title, Olav is a very good tutor who knows his stuff very well and he sounds like an ace guy.
-Sebsteeno
Melody
Jan 13, 2014
I reviewed this video to get a better understanding of how melodic structures relate to harmony. Though there were live examples, I do not believe I was left with a sense of how the melody was chosen. Had I not been a Music Major, I would not know or understand some of the terminology that the instructor uses. I find it immensely important that the instructors remain aware of the level of student that they have (audience) and the knowledge that the student may or may not already possess. If ...
-Rachelle
Having watched the first 5 Tutorials for Maschine it would be use full to know the keyboard shortcuts for the actions being described Some aspects of the drop down menus were not discussed or even mentioned
-geepeeaay
Really good intro to Maschine to that's perfect for someone like me who is relatively new to Maschine and version 2 , good work!
-Andrew
This course was awesome. It was quick and straight to the point. I never knew the difference between the 32 and 64 bits. That explains why a lot of the DAWs were crashing when too many tracks were loaded. This course also taught me how to shop for computers and RAM.
-Rachelle
Mixing R&B
Jan 11, 2014
Very good course. David Isaac breaks it down very clearly and I gained a lot of insight for mixing this genre:-) I found it fascinating that in the whole tutorial, I didn't see him use any compressors on the tracks. Perhaps that is a definitive trademark of the era. No wonder my R&B mixes sound over compressed;-) If you like the dry and tight R&B sound of the 70's this is perfect for you. Truly great course!!!
-Clay Collins
Great course, short and straight to the point. I now understand this instrument inside and out. :)
-Alex Gillard
Harmony
Jan 10, 2014
Like the rest of the "Beginner" courses in this series, I initially considered this to be a "refresher", but continued to learn new things.
-Kasugie
I would highly suggest anyone who is completely unfamiliar with using a DAW (like myself) to take the 100 course (What's new in Logic Pro X) prior to taking this course. I watched both courses on my iPod and followed along with every single aspect in Logic on my laptop. Some of the Apple Loops and sounds may not always be the exact same as the instructors, but it is an example, just grab a different track and continue with the learning. I wrote tons of notes. Issues I had with the course: ...
-Rachelle
Very good for beginning. Not too much of information, but everything is correct (in right place and time) :)
-Povilas
One of the most insightful Logic tutorials I've seen. Fundamentally important for any one wishing to be efficient with Logic:s workflow.
-Charles
This tutorial saves me a lot of time on the scoring work flow. thanks!
-Hyphen
Live DNA!
Jan 9, 2014
Again , very useful , enjoyable and valid . I have a fair bit of experience with Live , but it is always good to see how somebody else uses the functions available . Delivered very coheriently . I recommend to beginners and seasoned addicts .
-David Murray
Great Course!! It'll clear up any confusion you have about Logic's signal flow works. Not only that, you'll be better able to setup and troubleshoot live sound situations as well. Definitely a must see course if you have any doubts about your knowledge of signal flow.
-Ed Candeo
This course should be retitled: "Essential information before you do ANY recording or performance through a DAW". You think you know what latency is, you think you understand about the speed of sound and analog to digital conversion and maybe (as i did) for the first few videos in the series you're thinking "yes, i already knew that". But then later on... mind blown! You realise just how in-depth latency truly is and how many things you had failed to consider. But fortunately despite the com...

Melody
Jan 8, 2014
Excellent coverage of the modes - not just a review of scales and intervals for beginners.
-Kasugie
Everything you need to know to make it go. I went through this a s arefresher course on how it works and I have found much that I had forgotten. Its a greeat series worth watching again and again.
-Augustus - T
A very intuitive and easy to follow course. Questions were answered as I was thinking them up .
-David Murray.
I watched this as a fun diversion, but I think this is really interesting. Having some javascript experience looks like it would really help with the scripting engine. Looking forward to playing with this.
-C1ph3rd
It was a great intro. I was clueless at the start, but he brought it all together. Really a fine job, thanks!!
-Todd Lovrien
Fantastic, along with the rest of the courses in this series.
-Kasugie
Good intro into styles/formats/roles etc. that you'll need to know to get involved in the game audio world. Looking forward to the next in the series.

MIDI Demystified
Jan 7, 2014
This tutorial is very in depth view of MIDI. I never studied MIDI before, but have used it. I am so glad that I have taken this course. Peter Schwartz is very thorough instructor who he keeps the listener engaged with appropriate graphics, "timbre" of voice, and some much needed light humor in order to get the student through the massive amount of information. I took 22 and a half pages of notes, and I am on my way to the Logic Midi tutorial to attempt to apply my newfound knowledge.
-Rachelle
Excellent training - am a complete beginner with Apple Motion and this is really helping me
-Martin Dean
Designing Timbres

Exploring CSS
Jan 7, 2014
This was another good course on CSS> I am using Dreamweaver CC and it is a newer version than the one used in this tutorial. A little different to use when adding new css styles and modifying them but the concept is the same. Nice tutorial.
-Mr Taylor
Enjoyed the course tutorial, it cleared up some questions about how to do certain functions in Studio One. Gary is fun to listen to with his Cockney accent.
-Jimboy Edwards
Introducing Excel
Jan 6, 2014
Great course. I already have a good knowledge of Excel, and I was curious about Excel 2013. The videos are well structured and shows everything you should know when you start using Excel. I hope there will be more videos.
-Zyhon
Awesome! I have learned more in the 16 hrs I have spent doing your tutorials here on MPV then I did in 2 years of music school. Thank you for keeping it entertaining and interesting. :)
-Alex Gillard
I'm up to the fifteenth lesson. Mr. Schwartz portrays a clear and fairly concise description of the basic array of signal flows within Logic Pro X. The power and the magic of developing different patterns of sound creation is again to be realized with another of these Mac Pro videos. I'm glad to have found this website.
-Amy Soldier
i have not yet watched this, but i'm giving it 5 stars for two reasons: 1. I'm almost finished gregg's jazz harmony course, and it is an intuitive, logical progression (no pun...eh, pun intended) through jazz harmony and 2. This is another great example of the diversity of content on this site. I am a working musician and a composition graduate and I love reviewing this stuff and also helps me reinforce my own teaching. Keep up the good work everyone.
-Dave
This is one of the most essential courses you must take in order to really learn what´s going on when you are in Logic and to solve any issues that could come in. It applies not only to Logic because this is for audio in general. A must see course!
-Jazzlex
Awesome course. I wish I had had this kind of instruction when I first tried to figure out how to make use of all the options with DAW's different recording processes. And then there is the dreaded tadah Environment. :-) The delivery is very fun, I cracked up several times Steve 's got such a musical sense of humor. Good stuff!!
-Till
One word - excellent. For me which is a hobbyist I finally understand how to use the mixer in a more advanced way than before this tutorial. Peter Schwartz is a very good trainer with his comforting voice.
-Bjørn Erik Bjørnstad
Fantastic tutorial! I'm a veteran to recording, mixing, and sound design, but I'm new to Logic Pro and I always find something useful whenever I return to any text or tutorial. This would be the best place to start for anyone looking to dive into recording in Logic or any other medium. Peter Schwartz is both engaging and direct.

Advanced Kontakt 5
Jan 6, 2014
Excellent courses. Very well-explained and thorough. A great starting point, and more, for all serious modern composers. Thanks!
-Roberto Abis
This isn't just a signal flow course. It covers that in depth but Peter also shows you the creative uses that it can be used for. It's one of the most inspiring tutorials I've watched and saved a lot of time digging through the manuals. Peter is right up there with Steve H in my book and I will be looking out for him in other courses.
-DenC
Clear and Concise. Thank you, Peter !
-LLD
Really amazing. What an incredible resource! Thank you so much. Im on to the next!
-Bryan Kevin Latham
Very helpful for recording newbies like myself. Probably also useful for engineers of differing experiences, be they: intermediate, advanced, foreign, etc.
-Patrick
Producing Hip Hop
Jan 5, 2014
Very nice! Would have loved to see the drums made with Logic vs MPC though. The step editor was very useful to see!! Overall, a great series! Thanks!
-Marko
This was really informative and interesting. Covers a lot of plugins and tips for successful mastering.
-C1ph3rd
Congratulations to Peter Schwartz on his entertaining and insightful presentation of this course, packed with useful tips and information. During the presentation, Peter plays real life examples of the principles he is describing - for example, side chain compression - to illustrate how this feature sounds in a typical composition. It leaves you inspired to try out some of these features in your own works.
-Robg
This is an excellent course. Contains every bit of information you need to know about signal flow in Logic; but also on how it compares to signal flow in hardware mixers. I've definitely learnt quite a bit and will be coming back to these for reference.
-Anthony
This includes a number of tips on using some of the built-in apps in OSX more effectively. This is advanced from a new user perspective - most Pro level users probably know most of this.

ES2 Exposed
Jan 4, 2014
As usual, Steve gets into pretty much everything you need to know to use the ES2 effectively.
-C1ph3rd
This is my first real look at a recording software outside of Very Very basic recording on ProTools. I thank both of the instructors for their time in putting this overview together. I look forward to looking at other tutorials. I do have one major issue/suggestion to make our learning process go a lot smoother. The pointers cursors that are used in the lesson easily get lost in the new Logic background scheme. There are different types of cursors that are more adequate for a tutorial, such...

Thank you for making a video series on a complex subject as Synthesis understandable. After watching this series the light bulb went off in my head...OH, I see how this works now... Don't feel so out in space when I look at the different modules I been trying to learn.
-mooshu3000
As usual, Steve does a great job covering pretty much everything there is to know to get really involved in Sculpture.
-C1ph3rd
This is a good and fun look into how audio makes its way into, through and out of your LogicX setup. Lots of interesting tips that will help you plan out your sessions more effectively.
-C1ph3rd
Excellent- well paced and building up of knowledge and skills. Good practice material and backing accompaniment track
-Soundsauce
Very good overview of NI Komplete suite of apps and instruments. Would feel less overwhelmed if I decide to purchase the product. Kudos to the instructor.
-Jimboy Edwards
Yeah man. Really well done. Allowed me to reacquaint myself with Logic quickly and get going. Thanks D.E.
-Kevin Latham
ES2 Exposed
Jan 3, 2014
An excellent course on ES2. It covers every aspect of this wonderful synth; and the course reveals some amazing features I missed in the past.
-Anthony
Good short course on integrating social media in Mavericks apps. Something not in here is sharing mixes from Logic to Soundcloud, but the idea is pretty much the same as what is gone over.
-Dan
Pros: This tutorial certainly helps to demystify a great deal of the parameters in FM8. The historical context given to the evolution of this soft synth in the first video was nice, short and to the point. Cons: Some of the explanation of certain functions was a little too brief. There were several sections where David would point at a knob and say "we have our [insert knob function] control here" and then move on to something else. I can see the knob and read what its called b...

Awesome as always! MPV tutorials always straight forward, easy to follow and entertaining.

This is an amazing tutorial, I used to think I needed days of training to learn about storyboarding. But this really helped me a lot to compliment my video editing learning, and it's only about an hour long.

I think I have picked up more in the last couple of days than I have in six months of trying to work things out for myself!

The Mix
Jan 2, 2014
Great mixing tutorial, definitely worth every minute! Clint is one of my favs to learn from, he's always so methodical describing how/why he does the things he does. I like how he doesn't make mixing seem like it's some kinda mystic and occult art. Really straight no chaser kinda deal, I really learned a lot. Thanks Clint!

For years I have been half-way understanding MIDI. This really brought everything out in the light of day so I could fully understand how it works. Thanks a million to Mr. Schwartz and his humorous and entertaining style of teaching. Awesome!
-Jimboy Edwards
This tutorial covers most every utility and application that comes installed in the OS X operating system. It also includes a section on troubleshooting that is helpful in determining whether your Mac is misbehaving or an application is errant. I have taken a number of OS X courses and still found many useful tips.

Great job and especially useful with the new 10.1 file (Library, Event, Project) structure. I really liked the tip on backing up the whole SD card. Also keyword explanation was very good. Michael is so easy to listen to...he makes you feel like you're sitting down with a good friend who has volunteered to help you!

Flex Time Editing
Dec 31, 2013
Awesome in every way possible. I feel like I am in tune with flex editing as well as creating with flex editing
-John Chaisson
Excellent course. Good delivery of content and relevant information. Could've used a bit more on the mechanics of getting storyboarding into the computer such as use of Photoshop, Templates, layers, etc. but that might be another course in itself.
-mikehughes
Great course. I plan on downloading. Keep up the good work. The courses that I have taken have all proven to be well done with appropriate information and well presented. Information on the mail program was particularly valuable.
-Phil Brooks
Another good course on some basic features on Illustrator. The course has a nice pace and is easy to follow. You really get a sense of what this can do for you! Recommended!

Buffre
Dec 30, 2013
I was really looking forward to watching this video. I have owned the Buffre rack extension for quite a while now; but I felt I really didn't understand how to use it well enough. This video didn't help much. There are many long pauses in the video where I felt like there should have been narration. This is very distracting and I felt like I was missing something important. I’m not sure what was going on here.
-Paul Perkes
Beat Design Basics
Dec 30, 2013
As it turns out there wasn’t much in this video that I didn’t already know. Nonetheless, I did pick up a few new ideas and learn a couple of new tricks. That being said, I still give it four stars. If your skill level and knowledge is less than mine you will learn a lot from this video.
-Paul Perkes
The Echo
Dec 30, 2013
I thought I knew everything about the The Echo and how to use it—I was wrong. This excellent video does a great job of explaining all the features of The Echo with extremely helpful and practical examples of how to use it. I now understand the difference between the Triggered and Roll modes of operation. You should watch this video—you will not be disappointed.
-Paul Perkes
A great course for reiterating lots of mixing techniques and shortcuts within logic. Delivered with friendly confidence by David Earl. I liked it a lot.

Song Form
Dec 30, 2013
Decent course but there is a little focus on Jazz theory. Perhaps it could have delved deeper into the popular music area of song form.
-Rob S
Absolutely fantastic as always. I can't believe how good these courses are compared to other online courses. Very simple to follow along and very rewarding. I would suggest using dual monitor and having Final Cut Pro in your main window on your laptop and the course on the secondary monitor. Also play around a lot an experiment during the course.

Excellent tips for rapid auto editing and working with takes, comps and groups.

Great recap of FCP 10.1, trainer is great. His personality and professionalism always shows through..Makes this very easy and he was thorough.

WOW.... Mo Volans spares no punches in this course. There's all the information needed for mastering; and more importantly, it all applies to the mixing process too. I've learnt so much more about the LPX plugins, and how they compare to other 3rd partly plugs. It's amazing what can be achieved. I can go on and on about how fantastic this course is, but all I'll say is it is worth every watch; and definitely over and over again until it all sticks.

QuickLook Guide
Dec 29, 2013
This course gives a very basic overview of the power of Sibelius and is perfect for someone who is trying to get started with the program but isn't looking to sit through many intensive tutorials. Would recommend for anyone upgrading their version of Sibelius or someone who is starting out with Sibelius for the very first time. May be too basic for longtime users, but will give a good overview of the updated interface in version 7.

Producing Hip Hop
Dec 28, 2013
A fantastic course. Well worth watching. Hip Hop is genre that really got me into music b4 I got fully into all genres, so it is refreshing to see how LPX can be applied here; and it does not fail. This lesson has been utterly revealing. The lessons are very precise and delve into Logic's secret power tools for professional productions in any genre. I have learnt a lot, and will be coming back to these as a reference for my productions. 10 starz for this course.

Pulverizer
Dec 28, 2013
This is a great tutorial for anyone who is using Reason. He takes an unassuming little plugin and shows you how to get a huge range of sounds and effects out of it. I found the examples of syncing the follower and working on snares to be very helpful.

Exploring Kontakt 5
Dec 28, 2013
This is a very good introduction to Kontakt. It show all the options and is slow enough so that you can see all the clicked selections, and know how the author got from one screen to the next. The author also verbally explains everything he is doing very well.

Monark Demystified
Dec 27, 2013
Great course. Matt is a brilliant teacher and he sure knows his stuff. Highly recommended.
-Phil
This is hands down one of the best courses I've watched yet. It's based on a much older version of logic but that is only about 1% of the course because it deals with tools that are in all modern daws. The rest of it is just a very smart guy explaining essential concepts of digital sound and mastering to you in a very laid back and easy to understand way. I already know I will keep coming back to this course again and again.
-bracey
Must for beginners to live.....
-Michael
Excellent course. Very helpful in highlighting some of the more tricky but needed parts of Sibelius 7. Good examples use. Pace was just right. I learned lots.

Reason Fundamentals
Dec 27, 2013
Having owned Reason since 6.0 I really needed to learn the ins and outs of the software rather than just scratch the surface. This tutorial bundle has been instrumental in closing the learning gaps. Thanks so much
-MrsLateBloomer
Really easy to understand and Peter Scwartz is great to listen to. I am learning and anxious to know more.
-Joe Miller
Fantastic start - everything you need here to get creating.
-Garry
Great Tutorial. I thought this tool was pretty simple to get going with but i overlooked the depth of control possible. Just wait till you get to the multi-out section! Thank you David.
-Shaniman
Nice to watch the process of the making of a song. Its focus is more on work after the recording, while I was hoping to see more of the creative process of the singer/songwriter itself. Like cord progression, choice of melody etc. But it watched it in one take, so it was worth it all right.
-Roger
I only heard about this tool and now i can honestly say i am ready to dive into real production with it. This is a perfect beginners guide to this tool. It will give you the geography lesson you need to get going. Thank you!
-Shaniman
Very well done. easy to understand. very thorough. Well worth the investment.
-Tom
This was a brilliant tut. It will help build a deeper awareness of the tools available to you in logic when recording/editing. Further, you will learn some great workflow techniques which feel simple to implement to save endless frustrations when editing. Thank you!

-Sunny Heartley
I've been writing music and mixing for ages, I suppose I'm somewhere in the upper intermediate range as a mixer, and I've seen so many mixing tutorials over the years that it takes something really special to make me sit up and take notice. This series is one of those. Olav is just a fantastic natural teacher: His approach, the clarity with which he communicates his ideas, his respect for his audience, his humor, and the depth of his chops are a beautiful thing to experience. -bracey
This course really gets to the heart of what you will need to master to acquire the skills required for storyboarding . It also takes out any anxiety you may have about your own ability to storyboard successfully.
-Earwig
Much of this video presents basic how to training that has been part of FCPX before the 10.1 release. HOWEVER, there are some gems in here that are worthy and seem new (to me anyway). Pay close attention to new ways to work with auditions. Even though I make (reality) documentaries compared to multi-take talent based shots, AND I am not an "audition junkie" I'm liking the features and will: (AUDITION 1) find ways to put these tools into my editing workflow; (AUDITION 2) still never use them; ...

Who needs an interface review? Who needs to throw and catch a baseball EVERY SINGLE SPRING to earn their 22.4 million dollar pro-salary? So this (re)orientation is necessary for newbies, but very worthy for advanced and master users. We get into our own editing habits and one or two things that can be learned to "remind" us of what we might do to improve productivity make this a 39 minute value. I watched it while working on other projects and a dozen times or more stopped what I was doing to co...

Very very good. It's true what he says; he leaves no stone unturned! These tutorials have turned what was originally to me an intimidating soft synth, into an absolute weapon! Ultrabeat UNLEASHED indeed!

Great course. Short, succinct and to the point. Gave me an excellent intro into the why's and the how's of storyboarding. Watched it all in one sitting.

Piano Score Project
Dec 18, 2013
Fantastic course with some caveats. I did watch it twice, first following the directions and secondly taking notes of what I know I want to eventually memorize as common commands I will use regularly when scoring piano in particular. The main issue I have with the course is first selecting a section and then issuing a command and not having that work as it did in the tutorials; for example, selecting a series of notes and then tapping the "s" key for a slur. Nothing. I tried repeatedly to make ...
-Jim Gramze
A very clear and succinct overview of all the main controls of Trash 2. Maybe there could have been a few more practical examples in a real song context but still, I'm not complaining. This is how a piece of software should be presented: in a straithtforward and no-nonsense manner.
-Pecchan
Good set of tutorials. Even an avid Mac user might learn a thing or two.
-C1ph3rd
Great course covering the tools and tricks for mastering audio in Logic Pro X!! Also discusses sound dynamics and lots of different plug-ins!

This was a good intro course to Adobe Flash, I am looking forward to the next course.
-Mr Taylor
Excellent course! I'm reminded of some of what I learned while playing jazz during college years, only none explained the theory behind what they were doing! Great to get an understanding of why certain solos had 'that sound'! Really like the half-whole diminished scale!

Really like the course. I came far down the learning curve by watching. A great way to learn.

This is an absolutely outstanding tutorial. David Earl is a gifted instructor.

Good basic info on how to organize your email, contacts, and calendars in OS X Mavericks. I was aware of most of these tips but I did pick up a few things that I didn't know. The videos also clarified some points I was uncertain of. A good tutorial, overall. Apple should watch for ideas on how to improve their apps!
-Rick
By just watching this tutorial and following some of the ideas, I was coming up with mad sequences, even phat bass lines. It looks such a simple plu, but once you dive deeper, it's amazing what the Arpeggiator is able to do. This tutorial is excellent and worth every watch. i"ll be coming back to this for reference and as a reminder of how amazing the Arpeggiator is.
-Anthony
I have been always a fan of checking those old tutorials, there's just so much information that isn't passed in the future tutorials. I recommend to go back in time to understand how and why the features changed as techniques are replaced but there's always a revival.
-BHamester
Absolutely amazing course, I've enjoyed every single video of it. That will help you to bring the sound of your head into the synth. I think it's a brilliant course not only for Logic, but to understand how synths work.
-BRHamester
Last week I was researching jazz music because I had a sense I would learn some things about the music I've been making... Then this week you post a video about jazz theory… Yea sure that is creepy mind reading tactics macprovideo what the heck but I love it nonetheless! Keep em coming. great insight into spatial effects chains. enjoyed the detail. thanks

A very useful tutorial. I still prefer to move the scores to Sibelius via Music XML for final preparation but being able to use the Score Editor more fluently facilitates composing inside Logic immensely as I'm an old-school guy who likes to see it in notation. Well presented and concise. I'll be back for recaps many times!

I needed to upgrade my knowledge in the new version of iMovie, and I must say (even if I'm a FinalCutPro user) that I learned a lot from Michael Wohl's iMovie 100-104 tutorials. Michael Wohl was a nice host, as well as a great companion and an excellent facilitator. Great fun!

Very good tutorial. I really enjoyed the lesson about AirDrop. Very informative.
-Andrew J Dorsett
The last Logic Pro 9 MacProVideo was really hard to get through. The instructor was boring and operating on old software. This guy is AWESOME! His voice is soothing and the way he talks keeps me interested. You did an excellent job! Cant Wait to watch the rest of these videos!

I learned a lot from this course and the series in general. Topics were discussed in a way that could be understood by beginners.

The Oscillator
Dec 10, 2013
A great video about analog synthesis! A lot of what I learned here could be applied to my own virtual analog synthesiser (The Waldorf Blofeld). This gives you a good basic understanding of all the possibilities.
-Jonas
This course is taught on Protools, so I was not familiar with the layouts, being a Logic user. However, I wanted to glean what I could because I have heard that you must mix in three dimensions, and Greg did enough explaining so that I understood the gist and will be able to find the same elements in Logic.
-newproducer
This is a genuinely informative course. It explains exactly what the plugins do and how to use them effectively. For the amateur, or semi-pro, you will find this practical indeed. Mr Volans has a great teaching style. I was never once bored with this tutorial. Well done, sir.
-Sir William Richard Harrison
Thanks for this great training, I loved the approach and the compact portions of information in a logical order. I would have given it 5 / 5 if there wasn't, in my oppinion, a crucial part missing I would have liked to be seen answered in this tutorial; The outline of the boundaries of applicability of Maschine 2.0 e. e.g. in which cases should I use it stand-alone and in which cases should I use it in conjunction with a DAW. I understand that it's a bit difficult to define, and of course dep...

Fonts and Color
Dec 9, 2013
Another informative course. HTML and CSS no longer looks like chicken scratch to me.
-Mr Taylor
What I liked about this tutorial is that I don't even use logic and I found it informative and easily transferable to my DAW. The only issue I had is that although Mo has told us exactly what devices to use he hasn't told us "when". I know that applying effects in a particular order is extremely important to the overall sound. But, I learnt a lot and will be trying these tips in the future.
-Dean
Yes some very practical skill on show here! You really cant got wrong with these tutorials I only slightly disagreed with some of the advise but all in all a very good tutorial!

Styling With CSS
Dec 9, 2013
I learned a lot from this course and will put this knowledge to use if and when I decide to design a website.
-Mr Taylor
This course starts off pretty easy, if you're a guitarist the first 40 or so videos will seem like a review. Then you have to start paying attention, as Toby introduces split pedal board routing and more complicated effects layering. He is an excellent guitarist, and gives good demonstrations of famous songs that use the effects he demonstrates. All through, the selections are easy to follow, what he is saying matches up well with the actions in the videos.
-Newproducer
This is exactly what I needed. Very good MPC 101 course, Thanks !
-Shane Dillard
Excellent stuff--I've been using Logic for years but it was always doing stuff I dint understand. Now I do! Thank you.

Great tutorial for anyone interested in mastering "in the box". A lot of solid information about Logic and 3rd party plug-ins and how they are used for mastering purposes. A very informative tutorial for anyone using a computer to create, mix, and master music… not just Logic users
-Ben Rico
Very informative video on Max For Live FX and instruments. Really like the section on Convolution Reverb and Convolution Reverb Pro!
-Missing Link
This course is a good overview of Mavericks, with relevant demos that were well executed and easy to learn. I especially liked the 'complex demos' in which the trainer illustrated the power of Mavericks vs. previous versions. I don't think I would ever have as many virtual displays but now understand the technology better. Seeing Activity Monitor to show the App Nap was also quite effective. Looking forward to the next courses.
-Aaron S
A really nice introduction to synthesis. A very easily understood presentation with a lot of interesting history. Very inspirational!

This course is great anyone who desires to learn about the art of mixing and mastering. Get on bored so much to learn It's so worth it

As a producer, although of course it is always recommended to send one's tracks to a separate mastering engineer for best results. However, in today's music world, especially for producers who want to be able to share and test out their new tracks in their DJ sets etc. being able to do a decent mastering job on your own is almost a must at this point. Of all the tutorials I've watched on Mastering, this is by far the most step by step, nuts and bolts, technique based course I've every watched. A...

I learned a lot from this course. Makes me more interested in the "Moog" sound.

Dec 7, 2013
Another good synthesis tutorial, I have learned a lot from this series and will continue the rest soon
-Mr Taylor
Another great beginners tutorial from Olav Basoski. Easy to follow and also informative for more experienced users.
-1970'Star
Great course. Is long enough to go through everything, but watching it at one go is strongly not advisable! Can't go wrong with this one. Very exciting also.
-BHamester
Fantastic. David spares no punches in revealing the vast amount of mixing potential that can be extracted from LPX. I've learnt so much; and definitely will be watching this again as a guide. #goodtimes
-Anthony
Amazingly good Cubase 7.5 tutorial, Matt has a skill for explaining things very well at the right pace with a very nice sound voice over ! Macprovideo rocks !!
-Rob van Hees
By far the best introduction tutorial for Ableton Live. Olaf Basoski are making this easy for anyone to understand and have become my favorite tutor. Hope to see more tutorials from him in the future.
-1970'Star
thank you for the terrific course very cool, especially examples of arrangements Please tell me how to remove the sheet from the line where there is no music? For example I have the vocals and piano and vocal 20 bars pause. How to hide these bars? this is one of the reasons why I bought the course) it is generally possible to do?
-Sergey
This is THE MOST IMPORTANT tutorial you could EVER WATCH if you produce music. I have NEVER seen a series of videos either on MacProVideo, Lynda, Youtube etc that has been THIS INSTRUMENTAL in improving my understanding of digital audio recording. I have struggled for years wondering why my recorded performances were not playing back as I had played them. After watching these videos, everything is LOCKED IN TIGHT and it's unbelievable. If you don't buy/download these videos - that will be th...

HTML 101 was a good intro course and once again I learned a lot and I am looking forward to the next course.

This Review is a thankyou!! for all your effort/care/detail in explaining the steinberg products through this medium. you are an excellent Professor and by far the best teacher i have witnessed on any online site. i am certified cubase converter.. my entire staff uses it..i am convinced that Cubase is the most advanced DAW of this time.. thanks for giving me the info/ammo to support my thinking.. i am about to watch these tutorials. i just purchased the 7.5 yesterday...tested it out.. dig the vi...
-Ryan Burvick
Really love this course, I learned some nice new things I didn't know before, both on mixing as on using Logic X. Only minus is that the voice over is very loud compared to the music. I am turning up the volume to hear the music correctly, but have to turn it down again when David is speaking.
-Andre
This course is fantastic. Although, I thought I was comfortable with MIDI, I sure did learn quite a lot of tricks, and some of the amazing new features in LPX. Worth watching, and I'll be watching again.
-Anthony
Harmony
Dec 5, 2013
Excellent overview of harmony. The information helped to clear up some misunderstanding I had on this topic.
-CD Smith
Quicklook Guide
Dec 5, 2013
The HTML and CSS quickstart course was indeed a good course, I learned a lot and feel more comfortable with the HTML/CSS language after just this course alone, and I am looking forward to learning more.
-Mr Taylor
This was a concise and informative course. The only fault was that it left me with craving more infermation about certain aspects of MIDI editors. Hopefully there will be an advanced course one day. Highly recommended!
-Pecchan
Great tutorial, nothing to question about, but an in depth of the use of this instrument for glitch effects would have been interesting, since I've seen many people using it for this purpose. No complains though.
-Reinaldo
The ART of EDM
Dec 4, 2013
This was a fun course to watch. It was interesting watching a professional work.
-Matthew
Excellent overview. Instructor was easy to follow and made it fun to learn.
-ckoz
This is excellent. Clearly explained! I'd like to know what is the oscilloscope is, that is being used for the demonstrations.
-Manfid
The update of this tutorial for logic 9 is just as great, but old watching old versions like this one always gives you an in depth of the evolution of the plugin that allows you a better comprehension of little details. Great video.
-BHamester
Exploring Animoog
Dec 4, 2013
Really good and gives a lot of inspiration. I like that its not hasty, so I can easy follow along on my own iPad whiteout having to pause the video all the time.

Simple, well put together and fun, thanks for the great intro of how fun and easy this program can be.

-BHamester
Recording Drums
Dec 3, 2013
Real deal! I've been enjoying a lot all the courses from this series. They are perfect if you are planing to record your band or venture alone. It's worth to pay it rather than watch the crap that is on YouTube.
-BHamester
Quicklook Guide
Dec 3, 2013
The information is taught very well and the graphics "in-between" lessons were more than effective at recapping and introducing the lessons. I look forward to completing the series!
-Mike
Great tutorial. This retro synth is like a mind trip back to my childhood, the old Atari memories kept crossing my mind throughout the course. I love it.
-BHamester
That's a proper sound engineer course. The tutorials for recording here are even better than the classes I've been having at the college. I definetely recommend, they are even cheaper than a real school.
-BHamester
Working With MIDI
Dec 2, 2013
This course was great..It answered many questions concerning MIDI in Reason.
-CD Smith
Excellent course, couldn't be any more straightforward. Totally demystifies the art of Finger drumming & leaves you with the tools to develop your own style. Ace

Arranging Explored
Dec 1, 2013
Great set of tutorials. Mr. Burgess is knowledgeable and hilarious. In fact he's probably the reason I subscribed to AskVideo. He's got a great perspective on working with Live, and I learned a lot. Cheers, all!
-Empty Planet
Great tutorial, can't wait to start using Push! Haven't got one yet, but it definitely convinced me to get one ASAP. It's a must watch for Live.
-BHamester
Lots of material that I found quite useful and presented in a manner that followed what I need to do with audio. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it would have helped if he had given a little warning before showing shortcuts or workflow. A few times those came unexpectedly. Not a big deal, I just went back a bit, but a little warning would have helped me be ready for them.
-Joe
This is a really good course, showing what the Logic Pro score editor is capable of (a lot more than I imagined), and how to use it. Everything is explained clearly and in great detail. I liked the musical examples too.
-NiftyElk
MIDI Demystified
Nov 30, 2013
The content was spot on but I found the interjection of the "producer" super annoying and time consuming. I wonder how much shorter this course would have been without all the producer fluff.
-Christopher Johannsen
One of the most informative courses on EDM, it helps to really understand how to make build ups, drops and cool FX, also many useful tips for ableton live users.
-Geovannim
Getting Organized!
Nov 30, 2013
This course teach you pretty well how to organize and manage your files and documents. There is some features that I first though was useless but now I will definitely use them.
-Zyhon
It's far the best course in music theory i've ever had. Took me three days to finish and understand all the concepts, but it will give you another level of music understanding! really worth!!!
-BHamester
This is an amazing course about Score in Logic. I learned a lot of good stuff and definitely improve the way I compose.
-Zyhon
This was really good to get started with MAX for Live. I got a really good basic understanding, being able to click along myself in MAX while watching the video.
-Jonas
This is a very easy-to-follow explanation of the four synths in retro synth. It does get more complicated in the FM synth explanation, but the narrator's graphic selections are always very clear and the verbal explanations are thorough so your ease of getting through it may depend on whether you are familiar with basic synth concepts. As a guitarist primarily I know I will probably be reviewing this video again.
-newproducer
Some great tricks of the trade in this course. Can't wait for the next one.
-Nitrox Junky
Core Live 8
Nov 29, 2013
This is like an owner manual on live, If you do not like to read the manuals, this is a great visual representation on almost all of the attributes in live. This tutorial series will help anyone who hits a wall with live and needs more explanation of whats makes "Ableton Live" tick.
-mooshi3000
Really good layout and inspiring course. I ended up wanting to favourite almost every video :)
-Jonas
Great Course. Get's into the nuts and bolts of mixing without getting too technical re the science or mathematics. Really good hands on example rather than working with a 'pre-polished' track. It would be great to see an 'advanced mixing-tips and tricks' and a Mastering course by Mr Earl!
-Toby the Hat
Hmm, needs more on demoing the POWER of Trash 2 in different scenarios. This is a feature-heavy upgrade on Trash 1, but sonically the examples were underwhelming. Advanced course please?
-Carrion Fowl
Lovely course. And an excellent approach. I have definitely learnt quite a lot of requisite skills.
-Anthony
Razor
Nov 28, 2013
I am completely new to Native Instruments, and Razor. Upon hearing the demo,on N.I's website,I was amazed by this synth, and its sound, and features. I have purchased Razor, and hoping to purchase Komplete 9,in the near future to use in Ableton Live G.W's style is very informative, and I was not disappointed,by this purchase. As I have some of Ableton Live courses,by G.W as well, Really good tutorial, packed with content carefully explained as G.W knows how,ha,ha Well done!!
-superb
Great stuff. A little too much repeatings at the beginning and end of chapters. And a little too general work through. A advanced class should go more deeply into things. And with chapters longer than 6 minutes, this would be posible. But all in all, great class. Cheers
-Vituz
Good course for tracking multiple events, with alerts, in multiple calendars.
-J.W. Head
You know you want to know how to do all of this, but it seems so daunting. The author makes it very fun to get to grips with this very powerful editor.
-JonB
The Oscillator
Nov 27, 2013
Nice course, wish I would have seen this years ago, I have learned most of this stuff on my own. But I did learn a more in depth exploration of synthesis.
-Mr Taylor
The history of synthesis was an interesting concept to learn about. We have come along way with advances in technology and continue to push forward.
-Mr Taylor
This was an easy-to-follow run through the drummer, drum kits, and drum designer. It gives a good idea of the variability of the drummer and drum designer and is pretty easy to follow compared to some of the Logic X core courses.
-newproducer
Really good Training....well explained... a little dry, but I got everything that Richard was talking about and that's everything
-Samuel
Exactly what it says...Core training on MIDI. Includes great workflow tips-n-tricks and multi-method interface shortcuts. I'm already saving production time. Thanks!

Song Form
Nov 25, 2013
Interesting course! A nice and simple overview of the way many songs' structure is created, and the reasoning for each pieces of that structure. However, I wish it had examined the structures of other musical genres as well, such as electronic music (trance).
-Neil
Very good. My only suggestions would be to include interactive training with audible/visible indications of correct or incorrect answers for some of the most important topics you covered in the course.
-James Head
Excellent course covering everything you would want to know about recording a guitar in Logic and using FX on its channel strip, such as pedalboard! Also explains a bunch of tips and tricks that can be used for any audio recording!!
-Neil
This course is going to solve most of the questions you are going to have when you start mixing your first tunes! I feel really lucky i found it at this part of my career as a producer!
-Pez
Producing Hip Hop
Nov 24, 2013
WOW! This is the best Logic training video I have yet seen (Anywhere!). The trainer Booker Edwards Jr. is clear, concise and very easy to follow. You don’t have to be interested in Hip-Hop to get something out of this video series, the things Mr. Edwards covers would be relevant in most modern music styles. I was so impressed by Mr. Edwards that I watched his MPC videos, and I don’t even have a MPC! I can’t say enough good things about this trainer or this Logic X video series. Just do...

Killer Sound Design
Nov 24, 2013
Ableton live makes it easy to layer different sounds and create something new and fresh to add to the mix. Good tutorial.
-Mr Taylor
I learned that Trash 2 is not only perfect for distortion effects but also adding character to a particular sound and is worth experimenting with.
-Mr Taylor
Best EDM sound design tutorial I've seen so far, it touches on very important sound designing tricks.
-GeovanniM
A good course. A lot of general things (that already are important in Maschine software 1.x) as well as the new functions are explained in a good, understandable way. It´s definitely worth investing time in this course as you learn everything that is necessary to start right away with the new Maschine 2 software. Good job, thank you!
-DJ Hamu
awesome job david. your teaching style takes learning to a whole new level. looking forward to more LPX from you.
-al x
This course gives a good overview of vocal production techniques, but perhaps should be presented as an introduction. Complex subjects, such as counterpoint, need further in-depth coverage, whether here or separately.
-R. Stull
Core Logic
Nov 23, 2013
Well, this is a long course. It is a well balanced overview of Logic 9 and you certainly will have a feel for the program when you are done. I would say you could do maybe 20 tutorials a day before your mind starts to wander, so figure 10 sessions to finish this course. A lot of the tutorials are short, so it goes more quickly than you might think. You may still be operating in Logic 9 because you have some favorite 32 bit plugins, so this course will be valuable for quite awhile. It is all bran...

The ART of EDM
Nov 23, 2013
"You need your tools to be an extension of your creative brain"-Olav. That's what I was thinking. I am a long-time live gigging musician making the transition to digital producer and am going through through Logic X as quickly and intensively as I can. I took a jump up to this 400 level course figuring I would be swamped but most of it was very understandable to me. Olav offers an initial disclaimer that he is not going to explain all the basic steps surrounding the moves he makes in this tutori...

A fascinating course that covers the intricate world of Max for Live! Max is a vast and endless world that can be utilized for almost any audio purpose with Ableton Live. This course explains many of its uses and ways that it can be programmed for different purposes.
-Neil
Great Course! I'm really excited about my new MPC Ren and what I could accomplish with it. I like the work flow and how the instructor explained each section in detail. Although the course included make a 'Trap" song. The principles can be applied to different genres. Thanks.

Peter, thank you for this excellent set of tutorials! The rhythm of your lessons and quality of your examples are superb! Very best, Leon.

Core Omnisphere
Nov 22, 2013
Great Tutorial! However, my complaints are that the movements of the instructors mouse do not sync with key points that he is speaking, making it difficult to follow the Tutorial. Another issue is the frames per second. It would be nice to make your tutorial videos 30fps, as opposed to what you are using now. The jittery effect on the tutorials also make it hared to follow the speech & mouse movements. Love to see more videos on Spectrasonics' Omnisphere, and their other software such as Stylu...
-Micdim
One of the most enjoyable course I've done thus far at MPV. Entertaining but really informative content, highly recommend this course if you want to print decent scores, a lot of detail and the shortcuts are a lifesaver or at least a timesaver!

Producing Hip Hop
Nov 21, 2013
YES! I've been waiting for a Hip Hop tutorial from MPV for a long time, and this one satisfies! Don't Think Twice About It-- My man Booker does it right. This is a no-brainer. If you make Hip-Hop (Even if you don't use Logic!) YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS!
-OGTO
Very good tutorial about this powerfull instrument. Olav explains the functions very plain and gives also some concrete examples. Thank you, Olav. Happy sampling!

Tools and Concepts
Nov 21, 2013
I was able to create a stunning animated banner for promotion while I was half way through this tutorial. I would though happier if the examples were more musician/dj oriented rather than generic.
-Costa.S
Great Course with lots of tips on the mechanics and workflow of mixing in Logic Pro X. Would recommend it to anyone who has experience mixing but needs to get up and running quickly with the tools available in Logic Pro X. Definitely will be coming back to this one.
-Ed Candeo
A great walk through of all the new features, upgrades, and enhancements to the standard DAW of the music industry. I can't wait until the plug-in manufacturers catch up!
-JonB
Great course and explanation of Sculpture, but the video's resolution/quality was very low, and it's hard to see the details of the instrument's interface.
-Neil
Excellent course covering the new retro synth instrument plug-ins that Logic Pro X has to offer! Great overview of the tips and tools that can be utilized in these versatile retro synthesizers.
-Neil
iPhone N.E.D. to be extremely confusing when I first looked at it, however after reviewing this course it now makes a lot more sense. Good job again.
-Phil Brooks
Really Good, the best is that if i don't get something i can just pause , rewind, or watch again. The only downside is that I'm a newbie - and i can't get my Audio interface output bussed right.... now I'm on here trying to get an idea as to a solution. But hey, whilst my output built in output on the computer works, i might just adjust back to built in input and output and follow your tutorials and have fun. In a nutshell, I'm looking for a "setup video".
-Rick
Excellent course covering all of the aspects of Logic Pro X's score editor! It goes into incredible depth about all of the functions and tools within Logic's new score editing feature!!
-Neil

Great course!! Interesting facts and theory about how the gaming industry works with music producers, as well as tips and tricks that everyone needs to know!
-Neil

QuickLook Guide
Nov 19, 2013
Very straightforward, easy to understand. I like the idea of exploring Sibelius possibilities via specific examples taken from a lead sheet to a full orchestral score.
-Martin Novak
I love the sound of Retro Synth and this a great course to really master the instrument. Each section is explained in detail without ever becoming complicated or boring. This a worthy course for any synthesis lover.
-Earwig
Overall this course is very good. For a novice such as myself I like it best when everything is verbally explained , even the location of the selection area and any modifier keys. This, however, is probably boring for the intermediate/advanced producer. I was torn between rewinding sections and just letting them play through, so I would eventually get through all 48 videos. There is no way I will remember all of this to go work in a project. However, I will at least remember learning about a topi...

I learned a lot about Trash 2 with these tutorials and it really is a step or two above version 1 and it is worth looking into.

Nov 18, 2013
Great overview about the possibilities of IRIS. Good structure and examples used in this tutorial.
-Faint Response
Great course but what is the song?? David - awesome job, but you forgot to name the artist and song that you're working on, something that seems standard for these types of videos!
-Nola111
I like the tutorial very much. But I would like to see some examples of editing Audio in the Precision editor
-Cor van der Linden
To be fair I haven't watched everything thoroughly yet, but I've been waiting on this video for weeks and my wish has been granted! You guys at macProVideo are damn legends and this video delivers as this site IS the forefront of educating people like myself. Miles ahead of any other resource. Logic Pro ftw I'm glad I didn't get trapped in a different DAW. Can't say enough I love ya'll you are a gift to the world!
-Matt
I have been following David Earl (sflogicninja) since his excellent tutorials from youtube. I was so happy to see he is working for MacProVideo now. Always relatable and concise. I am currently somewhere in the middle of your 105 course and…my mind is blown. Thanks Dave!
-Wirebox
This is a great tutorial for anyone looking to get DIRTY with Sound Design!!! There's a lot under the hood of this plugin, so fire up your DAW, and jam along to this Tutorial.

-OGTO
excellent! very useful. waiting for new pro course, for example "create EDM with Maschine Studio"

Great tips here! Navigation is something that can be very different in all the various DAW's. This really helped me learn all the ways to get around a typical Pro Tools session.

Introducing iMovie
Nov 13, 2013
Awesome introduction to iMovie, you can watch this tutorial within even noticing the time passing by and get you in a really exciting mood to start working with it.
-BHamester
This is so much better than the discovery channel it is amazing how deep this stuff is and more amazing I did not know most of what this was about. You guys are opening my eyes thanks
-docgoose
The breathe removal tool in nectar looks fairly easier to use and automate. Much better than manually removing each breathe with volume automation within the DAW
-Mr Taylor
XHTML Basics
Nov 13, 2013
Great series, I learned a ton, and you kept me interested enough to go further with the other series.
-AtomikA
The way this man can take a complex idea and just hand it to you on a silver platter is incredible. I can't say enough about each of the Sonic Dimension videos. If you want to know more about creating truly great sound, and understanding the fundamental properties of a mix, this certainly feels like the right place to be.
-Matt VonderHaar
WOW there is just so much in here and presentation is excellent so many tools to play with will definitely change the way i do things in the studio
-docgoose
Good, basic intro to Maschine 2.0. As a competent user of Maschine 1.8 - I didn't really find out a great deal that I couldn't already work out myself. Would be good to see a more advanced sequel to this series that covers features in greater detail - there was no coverage of the Midi editing controls using Studio, and it would have been good to have the arrangement functions covered in more detail. Perhaps a 'Maschine Studio' series would be really helpful?
-JohnC
I found this course to be really helpful and let me look under the hood and see things that I have not using in 9 and looking a the new things in X this is awesome!
-docgoose
An excellent idea having a course for all of Logic's plug-ins. It does give an absolutely fantastic overview; and although it was created a while back, it is timeless & even applicable in Logic Pro X.
-Anthony
This course is like a highlight reel of logic X. Laying out all the stuff that is new. It is the place to start. Concise, organized and well done
-docgoose
This answered pretty much all the questions that I had about the equipment. I'm still a beginner with the MPC, but i feel like I'll be turning over projects in no time.
-Rick Runna
Absolutely brilliant course. It was quite a mission to finish, took me quite a few days to finish digesting everything, but I definitely recommend it!
-Hamester
Poster Design
Nov 12, 2013
Another good tutorial I learned a lot about designing posters in photoshop.
-Mr Taylor
Heard so much about this course, and although it's quite old now, what I've learnt is timeless. I have in some way manipulated all that was talked about, but I have so much more understanding now.
-Anthony
I thought I knew everything about Logic Pro X , I don't!!! This short overview of Logic X is essential viewing. You may have missed a few key features (like me), it's well worth 40 minutes.
-Earwig
Gary, really lays out the fundamentals on how to use all the midi tools in this tutorial in a very comprehensive way. My understanding on how to use the tools in Studio One has certainly improved!

Maybe the cutter of this video should take a course in synchronisation ;-) The topic is interesting but you can't really broadcast such a technical failure in a technical tutorial, do you?

Core Trilian
Nov 11, 2013
Trillian really is a monster of a plug in and you'll need this tutorial to get the most out of it!! Use quiz builder as there's an awful lot of info here to get your head around. Excellent tutorial.
-Earwig
Useful for anyone who has any of NI's drummer expansions like the 'Abbey Road' series, not just Studio Drummer. A great tutorial that'll get the most from your NI Drums.

More in-depth and precise look at mixing electronica. Lot's of standard tips and tricks here that you'll use wether you're a complete newbie or a more experienced Logic user. Excellent.

Iris Explored
Nov 11, 2013
Amazing ! Simply a great program with a fabulous tutorial session to let me hit the ground running limitless!
-dcgoose
Amazing lessons for an amazing product. Well presented in nicely sliced pieces that were easy to understand I am taking a lot away from this program
-docgoose
I found this a pleasantly informative tutorial. The tutor speaks clearly and is easily heard, although with a most peculiar accent (I don't mean that to be insulting, rather I found the accent to be most intriguing!), but it is good to know going in that it may take a couple videos to get used to the delivery. Gary enunciates very well and this makes every detail easy to follow. The core MFL effects devices are explained and used in examples and all sections presented are relevant to the topic. ...
-Jason
I liked it, but If you don't have much theory knowledge and practice you won't make much use, the ideas are well exposed, but have space to make a much longer tutorial with more explanations.
-Hamester

Nov 11, 2013
A good course to get a rough idea of how Reason works. You may sometimes say "how did that just happen?" Better, more in-depth explanations are promised in later tutorials.
-Earwig
Good overview of user interface functions for Nectar 2. With so many options in the modules, it would be nice to see a continuation on Nectar in the Tips-n-Tricks category for production techniques.

This is THE best Max for Live intro course I've seen. Period. The explanation of the Live API and LOM was so clear and easy to understand I was able to apply it immediately. I can't wait to start the Max for Live Advanced course.

This course lowered the learning curve on RX3 Advanced and allowed me use it more productively, straight out of the box. I don't see any way I could have learned any faster. Thanks!
-R. Stull

A in depth overview of the guts of Logic though some things are so complicated that are still unclear. It'd be great to do a new release for Logic Pro X and outline example of integration of real HW.
-Costa.S
Excellent. The EV series really evokes the sound of those classics. David does an excellent job in breaking their controls down to the most basic elements. 5 starz *****

I had created 63 projects in version 9. I spent several weeks looking for a book on iMovie v 10, without any success. I find that this video course was every thing I had hoped for and more.
-Phil Brooks
Very good intro course. A couple places where the hardware view was missing when the hardware was being referred to. Are there any plans to do a more advanced/deeper course?
-Joe
Smart Controls
Nov 3, 2013
As usual David flattens the learning curve with really clear, concise instruction. New to LPX, I was having trouble automating in a project. Within a few lessons I was back on track.
-Upstreamer
This guy obviously knows his stuff, clear and well presented, wasn't so keen on the 'product' placement came across as an infomercial at times but generally pretty good.
-Toby the Hat
Great introduction to flex pitch, any chance of showing how you created the vocoder track to see how the two worked together?
-Toby the Hat

Nov 2, 2013
great introduction for anyone new to iMovie, whether a first-time filmmaker, or someone who just downloaded iMovie 10.
-karel vanbeekom
Having done some scoring before taking this tutorial, I can assure you that I wish I had done that the other way around.
-C1ph3rd
Great video overall.. Some bugs on the website.. Had to reload the page a few times. But all well worth it and really being premium member is worth when you get reviews and tutorials as fast as this..
-Mario Stjepanovic
An accurate and detailed introduction for novices. As an advanced user I am a bit disappointed because the “Audio Editor” is neither mentioned nor explained although the tutorial’s subject is audio recording and EDITING! Hope it will come soon a dedicated tutorial. This is the reason why of four and not five stars.
-David

EQ
Oct 30, 2013
Best point made..."There are no hard and fast rules, but a steady, informed approach will help you get the best out of this important area." 5 of 5 if not for 5 minutes of nothing at the end.
-R. Stull
Very in depth teaching, lots of meat and potatoes for learning this instrument in Kontakt. This tutorial will definitely help make it easier to dive into the Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass!
-ThunderRod
Great addition from logic 9 to 10. Dave explains things straight and to the point and easy to follow along.
-ThunderRod
Excellent course. Clear, concise and no bs. Matt does a great job of demystifying settings and, more importantly, in less than 2 hours one is ready to shoot confidently with (potentially) thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Well done. I am increasingly impressed with the quality of AskVideo courses - now, when we will see that advanced course? :-)
-R. Beard
Seal of approval: highly recommended. That's what you need to make your song "club ready". Thanks for your very good explanation, Olav.
-Cid Pirol
I've seen a few dubstep tutorials, but none so explanatory like Rishabh's. He goes into the WHY with every step taken; and that's what I've been looking for. A breadth of MASSIVE fresh air. 5*****s
-Anthony
Great info here, thank you. I would love some info on how to compress a long song down to a one page part with repeats etc. As opposed to having the same thing printed over and over for repeat sections...Can it be done?
-Brendan
Tis was a good course I will start to use FM8 more than I have before.

MacPro Video, Just wanted to take the time to thank you for a great video that I just purchased from your site. It is the tutorial on the Nectar 2 plugin with Matt Hepworth. The instructor was thorough and touched upon every single feature in the Nectar 2 plugin, leaving no questions asked. His teaching approach is truly that of a seasoned instructor and it shows throughout the video. Amazingly, I had just upgraded to Nectar 2 only a few days prior to receiving an email from MacPro Video, not...
-David Goddard
Very good tutorial, short but very clear. I definitely recommend it if you are thinking on watching it. It is worth the time spent.
-Hamester
An amazing introduction to the new features of the Maverick OS. Now, I have an excuse to get an Apple TV :-)
