I have been using Logic 8E on and off for some years but never really liked the manual. Recently I bought 9 pro and by chance found your tutorials. I have found the tutorial to be very well set up. I will most likely buy more of them as I make progress.

I am extremely happy with this tutorial. I tried to figure it out on my own and wasted some good hours clicking around with no success. Then a light came up in my head - macprovideo - I went on their page, bought the tutorial, watched it, did what Martin said, and my project was done. Fantastic from front to back. Filled in a lot of gaps that I had in my basic knowledge of Logic. Learned a lot of key commands and tricks to really speed up workflow. Especially enjoyed the sections on Automation and the Bonus Chapter at the end, which helped me begin to understand what one is supposed to be doing with compression and limiting! Thank you Martin!

This is a fantastic overview of the basics of Logic, with occasional glimpses of the huge depth the software has to offer. It's helped me to get started, while also encouraging me to explore the in-depth features. As a British viewer, I'll admit that I found Martin's accent a little... odd to start with. But I got over that pretty quickly. It's a voice I'd happily spend 7½ hours with for teaching of this quality.

Solid on noise reduction but as others have stated, it ends abruptly, begging the question 'what about the other filters?' Pt 2 explaining the other filters with the same clarity would be a definite buy.

Being new to DAW recording and Logic as well as only have ever using PC instead of MAC, I found that the learning progress was slow, cumbersome and quite frustrating. Mastering DVDSP tutorial has been an excellent and enlightening experience into a professional and unfamiliar program, I now operate it with a lot more confidence. But on the other side, when u go and apply things saw,... the results are not as happy as Martin's :) So maybe additional 'links' could be used to solve some possible questions borned at that moment when it involves a 'huge' curve in the process. I was very hesitant to buy these tutorials at first but I'm really glad I did. I learned so much from Martin's Core Logic set of tutorials and I couldn't believe how easy it was to follow along. There is a reason that when you look on the Apple site under Logic resources that this site is the first stop. Overwhelmed by the complexity of Logic and the size of the sample tracks? NLE's uses a simple sine wave to explain things, and this was the best start. The lessons are well sized at 2-3 minutes each and each one reveals something useful. Great!

I was fairly disappointed with this one. I'm mostly interested in audio manipulation features like splitting , chopping, reordering files, using regions, cropping, applying effects, etc. The tutorial is very heavy on noise reduction and loop composition, which I'm less interested in. Would like to see an updated version 3 video that covered hard core editing better.

Very helpful and informative; the narrator has a good delivery voice and gives lots of good useful examples. The tutorials advance in a very (pardon the pun) logical sequence and your knowledge and understanding is developed from the ground up. Really enjoyed the tutorials and learned a lot. Having a much better time using the software, and am able to do things that once seemed very complicated. I have found this tutorial to be invaluable in getting me started using Logic Pro. CLear bite-sized presentations by Martin Sitter with a well organized outline of key elements of this deep and (to me) complicated program. I have really appreciated his use of key commands to help speed the work-flow. I have made good use of the notes section for each video to highlight key points to which I can easily refer. I have come back to this video several times to cement my understanding.

The videoes are just fantastic! I´ve tried to figure things for many years in Logic. Yes, it´s a marvelous program but I´ve had big trouble getting in to it. This is the first time I don´t mostley feel frustrated. I´ve seen no. 45 out of 260. Many more to go.

Clear. Great coverage for getting started. My only disappointment was the large amount of time on the subject of sound in the beginning. Getting into editing soundwaves as the first chapter???? That's nuts. Felt like I was in a masterclass. Anyway, overall very helpful and nice job. Worth the money, which is the key element.

I knew quite a few things already by just looking at others and just doing it. But a friend noted me on this tutorial so i watched it. Its a clear lesson which shows you the tricks around logic and i liked it very much. Not to many big words, and if there where, you get them explainend, very handy if english isn't your native language.

I feel this training will probably be used by a lot of people either new to computers or switchers from Windows. As such I felt the author over emphasized the possibility of someone gaining unauthorized access to their Mac. These kind of warnings belongs in the Security section of training but not in as many places as he put them. His over emphasis might lead to the feeling that the Mac is not as safe as it is. If he updates the training I hope he puts these warnings in the proper location...

Wow - I'd been trying to figure out Logic Pro 9 on my own and it appears very overwhelming without any starting knowledge. This course explains all the basics and then some! Basically - excellent, Martin demonstrates the use of Logic to build a song from zero and gives an enjoyable, humorous and very informative description which has given me the confidence to use Logic on every music project. I'd give this tutorial 3.5 stars. It was a great tutorial in many respects, and I especially learned a lot about setting up MIDI in the environment. Best purchase decision I could have made. I was "getting by" pretty good with Logic, having switched over from ProTools, but didn't feel I was using the program to its full potential. There were also a few areas that were a little rough for me. a must for all new to Logic!! Im a new mac user also so making the leap from pc, and with only my experimental knowledge of cubase LE i had the basic principles of recording etc. I also use a midi drum kit so my midi editing knowledge was there, but basic. This guide not only gave me confidence in using logic pro, but gave me invaluable tips and tricks in structuring my songs, im a drummer in a rock band, so whilst the music generated in the turoial was dance/r&b it still was very impressive...

Coming from ProTools, Logic looks like a jungle with all the knobs and drop-down menu's. And just one look at the 1.000 pages printed manual makes me want to go outside and mow the lawn instead. Not anymore with this tutorial. Up and running in no time, nicely paced and chaptered, with the perfect amount of detail - not to a subatomic level, not too superficial either. Excellent

I have only been able to watch the first few sections, and I love how detailed and simple it starts off. He's so clear with everything, it feels so easy to learn... so far! My one concern is that even though I've only watched about half of the sections of the 1st chapter, the subject matter seems to jump around in a way that seems a bit illogical, but perhaps that's because I don't know how it all ties in yet. I can give a more accurate review later.

I've made it about 80% of the way through Logic 101 and I'm totally blown away. You guys are fantastic. I briefly examined Logic 101, and so far I am impressed. For me it is easy to follow. Way better than the manual. And most important it saves me a lot of time. At age 76 I likely do not have AMPLE time to study 1053 pages of the instruction manual. Thankx guys. Good work.

Logic is my first attempt to enter the world of digital recording, and I knew I was in over my head when I opened the program for the first time... I was completely overwhelmed. I knew from past experience that video tutorials were the learning tool for me. I purchased many how-to books on Photoshop, Lightroom and assorted software programs; however, nothing got me up to speed faster than watching someone actually use the programs. I'm coming from the Windows world and I find that very little of that knowledge (apart from conceptual) is transferable. This is a level 1 training and it certainly covers the material in sufficient detail. My preference is to cover the main elements at a high level and then be able to do deeper dive afterwards - this course takes one through serially to a pretty deep level at each step. I find this harder to absorb and retain than where one can do a high level pass followed by a more in-dep...

film nr 8 frustrated me. The re-linking assets didn`t work for me. There seem to be differences between the english version and the german version. Especially in the short-cut menu. If I press the right button - nothing happens... But overall: if there wouldn`t be your tutorials I couldn`t understand the software so quickly.

The Tutorial of DVD Studio Pro 101 offers more than I´ve been expecting.

About 1/3rd of the way through and I have already learnt many new features, shortcuts, ways of doing tasks differently from the way I knew already etc.etc Excellent. I am sure the next 2/3 will be as informative.

Has to be the best 'how to' package I have come across. To be honest, I got this video because reading the Logic manual seemed so daunting. Now, not only do I know a lot about recording in Logic, but I know where to look in the manual if I need something. This has been a very helpful tutorial for getting me the basic skills I need to record and mix in Logic.

There's a lot of material in the video training course and I haven't completed it yet, but so far most what I have watched are covering things that I already knew. I hope that the course will get more into how to set compressors and the other tools/plug-ins used for mastering. I did learn how to read some of the scopes and meters

This video tutorial was kind of hit and miss for me. I have only had my mac for three months, having always been a PC Windows user. I found certain segments of the video did not take into account updates to OS X made since this tutorial was made. Even though there was helpful knowledge to be had, some of the topics covered left me a little confused as to their relevance for me the new user. I was left with many unanswered questions like, "I used to do this in Windows, so how do I do it in OSX......

I watched the entire training without using the program. Now I intend to go back and use the tutorials side by side with Logic. Very good job on learning the ins and outs of the program. I bought a bundle of 12 courses for Logic from MacProVideo.com. Downloaded them immediately and couldn't be happier so far. This course "Logic 101 Core Logic 8" was the first course that I watched and it really brought me up to speed quickly. I love the pace of the course. Martin Sitter is a great teacher. This course is great for a beginner like me or a pro who needs to brush up on some of the basics! I highly recommend this one!!!

How do you succeed each time to bring lesson of such high quality? I now a company where these lessons cost 5-6 times more and are not so well done. Now I bought all the things I need, I can tell you that it's very cheap for 100% quality. A 5+ rating isn't possible I presume?

I've never really had the patience to stick with tutorials. They sometimes bore me. I think the main difference with macProVideo, is the way you guys break each lesson down into short clips that are easy to go back to when you want to recall a specific topic. Bite Sized Info... I had already worked my way though making my first song using both analog (guitar/bass/vocal) and midi instruments and had figured out a lot of the features (comping, track automation etc.) but in doing so I could see how deep Logic is. Found the tutorial quite useful but it did not deal with a few issues as clearly as I would have liked. E.G. Burning iPhotos to a disc is not covered and as that is what I believe to be a basic function I expected it to be covered. As a "non expert" I found the tutorial to be clear enough but I have found it necessary to replay some sections several times before I got the point.

This is an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone starting with logic. Starting from scratch this tutorial is the best way to learn to master the complexity of Logic. Should be included with any Logic package. I still open it as a reference when working on projects in order to remind how certain things are done. Best buy !

Having been very happy with the Final Cut 6 101 I am equally UNhappy with the Logic 101 product. Logic is a dreadful piece of interface design to begin with with millions of little buttons and menus all over the place in seemingly arbitary positions. I was one of the many that tried to read the gigantic Logic manual. It took me 5 months before I said there must some other way to learn this app and Macprovideo's Logic 101: Core Logic 8 had been my answer. I Love your videos. There like having a video manuel to reference when I need an answer to a question. I recommend these videos to anyone who wants to learn. I'm a Pro Tools user who is going to switch to Logic. I'm tired of always having to upgrade and spend more money with Digidesign. Logic offers everything you need to create great sounding music. Remember bottom line is It don't mean a thing if it ain't got no swing.

The Logic 101 course was probably the best training I've ever taken on ANY topic. The flow was excellent and the topics built upon previously presented material. Each topic is very short and I found it hard to pull away and kept telling myself, "Just one more"! I will definitely be buying more in the Logic series! Excellent work guys!!!

I don't often write reviews but felt compelled to due to the quality of instruction with Logic 101. Following the tutorial and working in Logic simultaneously is proving to be the ideal way to absorb the materiial quickly and easily. Martin, I'm almost finished with this video and its the best info Ive seen on logic.I was quite intimidated with the program ( cause im kinda old school) but i feel much more at ease with recording with logic and you kept it simple.

I got a lot out of this video. Martin is a great instructor. He does love the word 'instantiate'! Couple of notes: There were a few created 'objects' that are seen in the video but have no history. The one that comes to mind is in the LAYERS section where Martin mentions his XIO Synth. It's just there... without previous mention. On the topic of layers... It would be nice to see some ideas of how to organize objects on layers in more detail. Also... more of a Logic issue, it's very hard ...

If you are starting out with Logic 8 and want to quickly learn how to get producing your tracks, then this is the way to go! Martin does a very good job showing you how logic 8 works along with other stuff. I highly recommend it!

Includes lots of useful information. Not the ideal introduction to Logic though. I´d prefer an approach that would enable me to start an editing project straight away. Would also prefer a more consistent path rather than jumping from one function to another.

I really enjoyed the video, although it was really weighted toward a type of music I'm not interested in. (This seems to be the industry standard though.) I keep waiting to find a video that explores recording and mixing music made with real instruments in a meaningful way.

I'm fairly technically-savvy, so when I first found out about these tutorials in my music technology class, I didn't think I needed them. I've been using Logic 8 for about a month and half, and was getting along OK in Logic. Then, I ran into problems figuring out how to beat-map, and quantize audio. Yes, Logic comes with a gigantic manual and online help, but honestly, I didn't find it terribly helpful because it just gives definitions of what the concepts are and does not really show you how...

This was the first Logic tutorial I viewed, and as I had no previous experience of working with audio software and hardware it was a real eye-opener for me. It gave me a good overview of Logic's possibilities, and every time I've dipped into it again for more detail (and I'm still doing that to refresh) I've been rewarded. I can absolutely recommend this tutorial.

Very good! Especially since Martin Sitter does not only explain the program - but also has lots of interesting sidenotes about Electronic music, audio data in general and more. The only thing that is not being explained thoroughly is the usage of STP for video dubbing, which is not relevant for me but might be for Final Cut Pro-Users.

I love the detail and the fact that it's broken into many short duration bits so one can review just what one needs to. You need to produce one on using Mix features, Editing, working with and Locking to Video. Way too much time goes by for additional tutorials on a subject to come out. In the words of Oliver Twist, "Please, sir, I want some more."

The tutorial has 2 great pros: a) it helps don't wasting time in reading the big Logic user manual; b) it shows in a very friendly and easy way not only how to do anything in Logic but also what's behind (i.e. the reason why you need to use any feature of the program). Excellent program. As a new user - I didn't have any idea where to start. I'm pretty sure it will take at least five more viewings and practice to begin to gain a little fluidity with the program. Well I've finally finished (long story - dead processor, whooping cough, laziness etc.) and have to say it's great. It's so much easier to follow than reading a (nearly 1,000 page) manual. Pretty good. I knew most of the stuff but there were a few things that were new to me.

The Logic 7 tutorials are easily as good in Logic 8. Making a Proxy Movie is a very useful skill. I could make a small movie of my hands playing a difficult Guitar solo and one of my students could play it back on any Mac or PC. that has the FREE Quick-Time Player. Some people have a close friend who has a degree and they don't mind talking shop on their day off. The rest of us have macProVideo.

This is better than the Ableton courses you have online because it shows you how to make a tune from a-z rather than point out all the features of the program alone.

I purchased Logic 8 a few months ago after using Garage Band for several months and also Cubase LE for just recording needs. I wanted to take my knowledge of Logic 8 to the next level and the Logic 101 video exceeded my expectations. I really liked the layout of the material and found everything really easy to follow. My background is not using computers to record and such so when I first got into it it was a challenge but this particular one logic core 8 has been great. So far, I've been enjoying the video. My only criticism is that some of it moves kind of fast. And what I would describe as the "asides" ("while we're at it, let me show you how to open the ________ from the keyboard shortcut") can be a bit distracting. I'm pretty much a total novice with this stuff and decided to plunge in and try to learn Logic rather than a simpler program like Garage Band. So I could probably be considered a remedial student as far as this stuff goes.

I have learnt more in two days with the tutorials than a month of books and manuals. I have Logic running with the tutorial and skip between the two. I am gradually finding a intuitive method of working and the tutorial's are informative and fun, yes actually fun.

Alright, I can't keep my thoughts closed up any more. This tutorial is magnificent - stupendous - exciting - uncontrolable - creativity - bouncing - from - here - to - the - next - galaxies. I needed to learn Logic and this tutorial put me on the path of enlightenment. Everything to satisfy my learning desire was placed on this tutorial. This is the best tutorial that i have ever come across, period.

I really enjoyed this tutorial. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and thought it was well taught. My only advice would be to spend some time on the pre-made backgrounds (apple backgrounds). I am trying to use these after the tutorial and don't have the foggiest idea of how they work.

I have to say I'm absolutely over the moon with this tutorial. I'd heard good things but... WOW. Not only is the information accurate, really easy to follow, very very useful, etc, but the videos are also incredibly engaging. I have all of the Logic 7 tutorials and I must say they are extremely helpful. Coming from Garageband into a Pro app is somewhat intimidating but with these tutorials it make the transition a lot smoother.

This started out really great. It was definitely worth the $45 to gain knowledge on something I had NO IDEA how to use. Only complaint is towards the end it started assuming the viewer already had knowledge in certain areas. The 'automating the mix' section was completely lost on me. Also, it just needs a chapter explaining how to use the EQ in more detail. I have never used an EQ of this style before and it was not explained how the funny digital graph interface works.

I have only completed up to lesson 40 & of course,will have to review as I go along. Great tutorial. Takes you through all you need to know to get you up and running with Logic Pro. Very thorough and systematic. Almost like having your own personal teacher on call 24/7. Note on N.E.D. 2.0: This program is still kinda buggy, most noteably it displays the "Black Hole Syndrome", where the video just disappears, and you're left with audio only. Downgrading to N.E.D. 1 solved the problem.

I wish I had discovered macprovideo.com a year ago! This video is light years away from a dry, techie training manual. Having now spent some time with Logic, I have found the tutorials to be invaluable. The clear instructions take you step by step through all the basics of recording, and go on to more advanced editing etc. A "must have" for any first time Logic owner.

Great video. As soon as I am able to apply what I've learned from this one, I'll be getting some of the other Logic videos so I can dive deeper into the program.

The interfase is clear and the so the explanations. this has all the contents of a good printed manual but with the advantages of not having to read 500 pages (in 3 weeks you can learn what would take 4 months). just two things I dont like so much: 1.doing the dowload is a bit complicated. 2. the song used for the tutorial is really a demo song, I mean, I would have prefered something more real and rock oriented.

The following are my comment: 1) The ending of this training seems abrupt. The last topic is "Analyzing Audio clip" and it has ended just that. Hello, This was a great tutorial for Soudtrack Pro. It gave me a good understanding of what Soundtrack Pro is capable of. However, when Martin mentioned this tutorial in his Logic 8 101 video, I assumed that it would be more about using STP as a utility for Logic. Part 2 of the tutorial was most relevant for me because I wanted to learn how to clean up my audio files. All in all, this was a good tutorial, thanks.

Logic Pro 8 101 is bursting at the seams with all kinds of foundational information that I didn't expect when I bought it. It's not simply an overview of Logic—it covers tons of other things that everyone who records sound needs to know. It really filled a lot of the holes I had in my understanding of basic sound and song construction, plus the video is split up into well titled sections that make going back and finding anything in the tutorial a total breeze.

The tutorial itself has been made very professional and covers all the fields of interest though the procedure from purchase to download, opening and playing needs some revision if you want to sell Tutorials worldwide. Due to the timelag with Europa it´s a hassel to send e-mail-enquirys about problems of rendering.

Great Video, I thought it was about using the existing templates but i was wrong, Oh well I learned a great deal of menu creation and how to assemble a menu from litteraly a blank page in photo shop.. As a professional I needed to get up to speed quickly on the basic operation of Logic Pro which the Logic 101 DVD more than covers. I have spent a lot of money in books and videos on cd for Logic and I was always disappointed with the look and feel of the materials and with the relevance. These macPro videos have a superior production quality to anything else I have seen and I can not put in to words how great these Logic courses are. This is a GREAT set of tutorials. Clear, well organized, concise. I had to deliver a short DVD to a client and needed to get up to speed in a very short timeframe. I think your tutorial is great as it showed me a lot of usable shortcuts to save me time on learning the functions of the program and more time playing and capturing my music. It greatly reduced the frustration of trying to learn the program through the operator's manual and is easily accessible when I need to review a specific function. I would definitely recommended this product as it systematically takes you to a competent level in a very short period.

Very nice tutorial. If you want to have a good overview of logic and understand a bit more the different fonctions go for it! The only thing I can say is that it would have been nice if Martin could have spent a bit more time about editing in logic. However it's a nice one to start!

I do think that there could be more input around a systematic approach around setting up the environment for third party multi-timbrel plugins (BFD/PHILHARMONIC etc.). Hello, I'm happy with my purchase. The price is good and the player works well. Something that most DVD tutorials could probably improve on is the subject detail of their indexes. As with all manuals, the quality of the index has direct bearing on how effectively the relevant information can be located. DVD tutorials do tend to require immersion in the whole package to learn details not necessarily apparent from the index.

Without this tutorial, I would not have been able to grasp the concept of the environment at all. This would have been a serious setback for my switch fro ProTools to Logic. Thanks, Martin!!!

Great videos! I like the fact that each segment is short and well categorised in the menu. Would really appreciate the cd/dvd burning function for pc. this is the way to go. don't even bother with that 1030 page manual that comes with logic 8. you just pick up so many tips that make learning logic a pleasure. just can't express in words how vital it is to have this tuition. if you have any logic then logic 101 is a must.

A great introduction to Soundtrack Pro. Especially enjoyed the Noise Reduction/Frequency sections.

These are the best I have found. The instruction, layout, and program is just very well done and very easy to "get into". I also had a very slight technical problem which they answered correctly within an hour or two. I am glad you guys are here.

Excellent introduction, not just to Logic, but to Digital Audio in general. Slightly frustrating to begin with, if you are familiar with how Audio works, but the sections on the Logic tools and the ideas for workflow are first-class.

I attended "analog" recording school (approx. 90 hours of instruction) about 15 years ago. I needed to produce a custom DVD menu. DVDSP has many templates, but I needed a certain look on this project. Watching the MPV tutorials help sort through the many options of DVDSP and made making a custom template very easy. And I actually understood what I was doing in the process....Thanks MPV!

DVDSP has tons of options and can be configured for many striking chapters, buttons, and effects. Mac Pro Video helps sort out all of these options with clear descriptions of each one. I highly recommended MPV tutorials. I especially like them because they are a video tutorial, it is much easier for me to understand a video than read an instruction manual.

as a former logic user back in the OS9 days, core logic 8 helped me considerably in getting up to speed after a 5 year hiatus from music production. Martin Sitter has a good sense of humor and made the transition much less arduous. props to the man. i wish this tutorial existed back in the day -- it would have saved me a lot of time.

Martin Sitter is the best video trainer there is for Logic and Soundtrack. The man just knows how to make you understand your software, while at the same time keeping you interested and awake. This is the second logic tutorial i've purchased. Like the tutorial series for 7, this one is great. It touches on everything you'd need to know to get familiar with Logic 8. I had to give the video a 5. I feel it provided more information on the theory of sound than I have taken in on any instructional videos in the past. I believe that as this is good, I would have liked to know say for instance how to set the amount of midi captured by (control *)...etc etc. I did however learn more than I thought I would...=)

Generally good quality and useful information. Don't like the infomercial for loops from your sister site. Don't like the repetition from one video to the next on occasion. The clips are only a minute or two long and it feels like valuable time is wasted repeating the same info over again instead of assuming (rightly) that I have just watched the previous video and expect it to flow into the next. Martin Sitter is quite clear and good at explaining.

I have worked my way through the beginning section of the tutorials and am very impressed with them. This is an excellent tutorial. It is fairly comprehensive. Being familiar with Logic, I was looking more for a "Upgrading to Logic 8" tutorial. This is an excellent review which gave me different perspectives and workflow techniques to use.

I am a music hobbyist who recently changed from the PC to Mac, and from Sonar to Logic Express. I had already worked through the Apple Courseware book on Logic before I bought the video. I believed that I needed additional training. The video is very good, although parts can be confusing. Using the word "instantiate" which is not explained until a very late lesson caused me some confusion. Also, the portion of the lesson that is done in Soundtrack Pro is somewhat useless to Logic Express owners...

I was having trouble navigating my Logic 8 , even the little things I was doing wrong was limiting me in my pursuit of making a great recording. Core Logic 8 in the first 5 minutes showed me the shortcuts using the keyboard and sent me on my way!!! I have not even made it all the way through the video yet and I have made tremendous strides. Clear, simple and direct. As a result, very enlightening. Even though I've been using logic ever since Emagic started it, there is always some thing you miss because there is so much packaged in Logic. Core Logic 8 should not be underestimated by any one! The difference between Logic 7 and 8 is pretty dramatic, in my opinion, and Core Logic 8 is really worth looking into. My one complaint is that Martin has a slight Mister Rogers style to his voice over work but he's still cool! Buy it!

This tutorial is at about the same level of the 101 course but goes into detail on how to make your own custom templates and buttons in DVDSP. I am fairly new to Logic.Transferring in despair from Cubase 3 & PC to Logic 7 & Mac Pro. I have Logic 101 but I find Core Logic8 is more intuitive by following the song thro the various features of Logic. I feel much more confident using the program. Switching to Apple Mac Pro has also given a more stable platform to work on.

Just finished working through the program and found it very helpful. Being a Singer/Songwriter I would have liked more info on Audio Editing Tips & Tricks and maybe one lesson on Vocal Pitch correction. It was obvious that Angel/Allison's vocal needed some help and then in last couple of lessons it HAD been corrected - it would have been nice to have walked through the process as her pitches were corrected.

This tutorial is great- I was hoping for something to teach me the basics of Logic (which it did) but I got so much more, too. My workflow is much more streamlined, I have a great understanding of track and effect automations, using my DSP effects, mastering, etc. I could go on and on. Top job!!!

An excellent introduction to Logic Pro. I'd not used Logic before and was quickly able to start using it. I particularly liked the way the videos explain some of the crucial background principles (like waveforms, frequency, etc.) that other books leave out. There's some really invaluable information here. A much nicer way to learn than the huge stack of books that comes in the box! Thank you!

The tutorials are well planned and presented. Martin is especially good at narrating what he's doing and why (and how else you might do it), even for simple operations. This means that just watching him work gives you a lot of familiarity with the program in just a little time. This was worth a lot to me.

This, being my first tutorial really wet my appetite for more! While I wasn't a fan of the particular musical selection, the information was very satisfying. Keep it coming!

By chance, I found this webside. And immediately I downloaded the N.E.D and the Logic 101 tutorial. I was very surprised about the easy installation and the good quality of the videos. If you have logic 8, then i think it you'll definitely need this video to learn the basics of this software. I feel that the video cover a great amount about logic, only i feel the sample editor and the midi editing functions such as humanize etc should have been covered or be covered in the future. I think the Logic 8 video is very well done. I am still working through the video and one thing I would like to see improved is the flow and detail from one subject to the next. Very in depth. I switched from Cubase to logic studio 8 for all the features that came with it. While I was able to figure out the basics of operation, I had no idea of all the features. This video covered everything that the program offers and more. Thank you for a great product.

I found the 101 to be very helpful in terms of coming to terms with the basics of Logic's operation. I have videos for both Core Logic 8 and mastering Pro Tools 7, as I run both softwares from my school / studio. Excellent videos that complement both software manuals as needed. Generally really good. too much time was spent on writing electronica loops for my taste (especially since that's not what the software is designed for). and the tone of the instructor is a bit too chipper and intense to listen to for very long. Otherwise it's casual, but smart and well organized.

Great Job. Maybe you can do an entire tutorial on the score editor (from a simple leadsheet to a full big band chart and full orchestral scores). I think this would be very helpful for the many traditionally trained musicians out there who struggle a bit with the technology side of logic.

I've never used an online tutorial before so I can't tell how this stacks up against other tutorials. All I know is, I spent 5 years using Cubase and never learned a tenth of the things I have learned in one week using Logic with this tutorial. I find this to be a very un-musical approach to Logic. It is not a coincidence that the tutorial begins with a sine wave, the coldest sound available. The instructor is caught in bar schemes, blocks and repetition. And he even gives musical instructions, remarks how music should be - this is totally off. Hence midi related issues have vast priority over real audio. How do I edtit a multi-track recording when the drummer is off-time or when an instrument comes in out of time - how can I fix audio...

I have purchased a number of your tutorials and find them absolutely wonderful. They are full of simple tips and shortcuts that make editing fun again. I especially like the way that chapters are arranged so I can quickly "brush up" on a topic. My only complaint is that you don't have tutorials on all the software that I want . . . ex. Motion 3 and After Effects CS3. However, what offerings you do have, are the best in the industry.
