Bridging the Gap

Stupid video. What a waste of time to make . . . and watch. Serious music producers don't have time for such jokes.

LOL!! My heart sank; just bought Logic 9 a few weeks ago! So after getting news about the new Duet yesterday, (just bought one of those too), I thought... my luck... all the new stuff comes out right after I buy it! You got me! LOL!! However; I was very disturbed by the "new features". But I'm afraid this joke will soon come true, the way things are headed these days...

My favorite feature is the "text me a sandwich" button.

The only problem I'm having with it is that it keeps texting me baloney sandwiches, when I'm a vegetarian! Yuck!

Steve, can you fill us in on how to further customize the sandwich texting feature?
Apr 01, 2011
Jon
I was crying of disappointment. Thanks God this is untrue. I was about to resign logic if this was true.
Apr 01, 2011
Den
Wow. I was sooo excited when I got the email. A new version of Logic and a preview video too! The penny dropped when I heard Steve utter the 'April 1st' words.

So, now I'm so disappointed and my iPad isn't going to be here for another couple of weeks.
I'm gonna have to finish my EP instead. Oh Well!

And I did so like the wood effect.

I bet that was Igor's idea.

"...but, does to go to 11...?"

The E-Mail got me. The launch in the video gave it away.

Great video and yes, I did get punk'd!

Thanks to everyone for you hilarious comments. May everyday be April Fools day! It's always so much fun for me to spoof the awesome DAW that empowers us to bring the gift of music into the world. Logic rocks!

@Rounik Sethi, I have not tried the Auto Composer yet but there is an new master bus plug-in with only one button! It called "BetR". You just press the button and everything sounds better. :D
Apr 02, 2011

@EricBradley,Good spot! It doesn't work for me on a mono signal! And it doesn't bounce in place... Right I'm going to fill in a bug report on this for LogicBand '12 ;-)

Great work. You got me too!!!
Apr 03, 2011
higain56
Got me, kind of. Suspicion began with the constantly "evolving" arrange page. How annoying would that be. And when SteveH calls the addition of wooden side pieces a "feature", well, that's a good tip that we're in the land of comedy.
Happy April Fool's Day guys, made me smile, but I was a little terrified there for a moment.

Hilarious!
Love the wood paneling and the changing color (urp) and gee, writing music is so hard, this is so much better! Thanks, guys, for the laugh!
May 17, 2011
I know don't know guys. I have GarageBand on my iPad and it has some smart instruments such as...piano, bass, guitar, and drums. Maybe not totally an April fools joke after all. I can't see why apple would have smart instruments on GarageBand for iPad and not for the new logic pro 10. Smart instruments on the new logic is real in my opinion. Guess we'll just have to wait.
