Hello, just wondering if anyone knew when the Live
tutorial from Olav is going to be available. I was pretty excited to see that one coming and it says it was to be released yesterday.

Thanks for all the great tutorials!

I'd like to know too. I saw that it would be released on the 28th, so I pre-ordered, but so far it has not appeared in my NED player. Looks like the date has been pushed back because the web site no longer states the 28th.

I'm actually very interested in this as well. I have lots of questions about general strategies using ableton as a performance-based recorder, and I hope Olav touches base on how to optimize the session view for this type of arranging.

Can't wait!

I'm also waiting for this. Fortunately I learned NOT to pre-order anything because of delays in previous tutorials.

I still have to wonder, why did you send an email about this Ableton Live tutorial, which stated (in bold) that "This tutorial will be released in 1 week, on May 28th." And yet you didn't send any notification that it is delayed. This is not very good customer service IMO.

I can't wait for this either. I have already pre-ordered it. His last tutorial was amazing, so am really looking forward to this one.

I purchased Live a few months ago, and have been battling to figure out the best way to use it live with what I am doing, so I will be over-the-moon if he covers some stuff I have been pondering about.

Great Stuff!

I watched the first three chapters of the tutorial and it is very helpful! Lots of questions I had have already been answered and I expect even more from the remaining material.

Just one thing...I think the audio on #16 cuts out for some reason. I quit and reloaded it and it did the same thing. I'm going to try one more time and see if it's just a glitch in my computer, but I'm thinking that isn't the issue. Can someone check that out? I really wanted to hear what he was saying during that episode.

Thanks!

Jamie

The audio cuts on on 16 of mine as well.
Over all, I found the tutorial to be MUCH more basic than I had thought. Basoski spends a lot of time explaining extremely basic functions in live such as loading instruments, hot swaping presets etc. It's interesting to see him create a full track from scratch, but not as advanced as I had hoped.

Gary, what kind of concepts were you hoping to see reviewed? Just curious.
