I have a footswitch (sustain pedal) plugged into my APC 40. I want to use it to help me accomplish the following:

Create live beats (on the fly) by performing and recording MIDI clips live, then looping the midi clips in creative ways. Synth parts, bass, drums etc...

My problem is, I need to keep my hands free (for performing) so I want to use a footswitch for controlling when a clip will start/stop recording.

Is this kind of objective plausable?? What steps will I need to take?

Many thanks in advance!!

Hey!

I believe this is indeed possible!.. But I don't have a MIDI foot switch or Ableton to hand to give you a step-by-step.

:)
