Heh Rounik,

What's up man? Long time no see & chat:( How ya been? I've been having a blast with Ableton:) What an awesome program! I'm still a huge Logic fan, of course, but I have been consumed by Ableton because of its "live/gig" abilities:)

OK, my question: In a few tracks in the Track Volume Sliders there are these little tiny "white circles" inside the triangular-shaped track volume slider. What are those little "white circles"?

Thanks man.

Hi jodie,

Yes, it worked! Well those white dots are pretty subtle. I looked in the Ableton Live 8 reference manual and found this section that may explain it:

"19.3.1 Modulating Mixer Volumes and Sends
Notice that there are actually two volume modulations: Clip Volume and Mixer Volume. The latter is a modulation for the mixer's gain stage and therefore affects the post-effect signal. To prevent confusion, a small dot below the mixer's volume slider thumb indicates
the actual, modulated volume setting.
Modulating the Mixer Volume. The Little Dot Below the Volume Slider
Thumb Represents the Modulated Volume
Setting."

It's on page number 264 (266 in the PDF).

Hope that helps

Heh Rounik,

Thanks for the info., but those little white circles I am talking about are actually INSIDE the triangular track volume slider, and now I have a RED circle inside the master volume slider. Any ideas?

Hi Jodie,

What version of Live are you running?

Also, do you have any automation recorded on those tracks?

:)
