This is not a Logic comment post, I'm doing this Steve because I believe you're the head administrator of the music dep. I purchased all Ableton Live that MacProVideo has to offer, they're very good but I have found an Ableton trainer by the name of Tom Cosm that is truly a wiz of wizzes with Live. He packs a punch like no other i've seen & there are many bright stars out there, he outshines them all. You could check him out at http://www.cosm.co.nz/. I believe if you had him on your MPV team it would be a great + for everybody.

Hey Kobe,

Thanks. I'll check him out! However, I'm going to remove this from the Logic forum and moving it to the Ableton forum

Again, thanks for the suggestion!

Yo Khobe,
That guy is pretty neat. I didn't watch all of his videos, but I saw the one where he makes a series of sounds with his mouth and then the full arsenal of drums comes in with all of those sounds creating the groove. It was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing the resource....

Cheers,
Steve

Happy to share. I have the feeling he could make an exclusive vid series for MPV blowing everyone away if ever you decide to take him on.

I agree Tom Cosm is top notch with Ableton. I subscribe to his youtube site. It would be hard to do better than Tom for an advanced series on Ableton.

I totally agree! I've seen many of Toms tutorials, would be an awesome addition to the Ableton Live video's. A good choice for an Ableton Tips 'n' Tricks too!!!

Glad everybody agrees but I'd like something exclusive & not already covered for MPV tuts from Tom.

What I also appreciate from Tom is his teaching style, laid back though paced & straight to the point. I would say more physical & very intuitive rather than intellectual, playful (not funny like Bill) & experiential. Wish there was a comparable wiz for the out of this world metasynth suite! Interested anyone?

I agree it would have to be something new. Since macProVideo are finally starting to do 400 level Ableton courses, I think this would be a great time to add a variety of teachers focusing on more advanced production skills in Live. Tom Cosm is amazing with the APC40 and with DJing. I've also watched several of Timothy Allan's Ableton drum tutorials which are very good. He would be another certified Ableton instructor who could produce some great 400 level courses. Right now, macProVideo have redone the 100 level courses 3 times. I think it's time to move on to more advanced material. I've already purchased the pre-order for the Olav Basoski Live tutorials. I'm really looking forward to their release!
