Audio driver for Ableton 8.1

Hi Guys,

I am not getting any playback sound from my computer, and I was on the phone with ableton and they requested that I up-grade my audio driver. Is there a free audio driver download for macs like the asioforall for pc that I can download?

Mac OSX uses a system called Core Audio which is built-in and doesn't require separate drivers like on PC.

Are you talking about your Macs built-in interface or an external audio interface?

Have you looked in your Applications/Utilities folder and opened the AudioMIDI Setup application? Check nothing is muted and your built-in interface is selected.

Also, open System Preferences > Sound and check nothing is muted at this level either.
