Hi guys!

Regarding Olav's new Ableton tutorial, there are a couple of tiny bugs in the audio. I wanted to post another thread since a discussion had begun and is buried in another post within this forum and I was not sure if you'd see it.

#16- audio drops out about 1/3 the way through.
#36- same thing about 2 minutes to the end.

I'm going slowly but surely through all of these tonight and tomorrow. If anyone else finds other things, please post here. I'll be sure to do the same.

Thanks Jamie,

We're working on the Video #16 and I suspect #36 has been flagged too... but thanks and let me know here if there's anything else you find... I'll keep checking too.

Thanks!

No probs Jamie!

So are you pretty much full-time Ableton Live now?

:)

About 70/30 live/logic. I just find ableton so much easier to use than logic, but I want to follow that immediately by saying "for my particular musical style." I think both are just as capable as far as I have seen. The APC40 really helps the creative process for me, and some of the rack presets just can't be beat. The dj racks are really fun to play with!

I just love the session view. And corpus...

Yeah, I understand Jamie!

Ableton Live has really changed the world of DAWs in a positive way IMHO... It needed a bit of a shake up. Every DAW has their advantages... and as much as I love Live, I can't keep away from Logic without suffering withdrawal symptoms ;-)

The whole chapter 7 (Using the Drumrack - Part 2) is mentioned in chapter 6 already (Using the Drumrack - Part 1).

Thanks Resu,

We'll modify video 6 as soon as possible.

Thanks!

If anybody wonders where to get the HiFi 909 samples from, here is the link:

Is it possible that Olav could add a chapter for "Mastering" (for example using a Multiband Compressor etc.) like he did in his Logic tutorial?

... or an explaination of panning sounds.

I even wonder if Ableton has any kind of effect like Logic's Stereo spreader.

Hi Resu,

Thanks for suggestions!

These ideas sound like they could be covered in more extensive detail and covered in a new title altogether.

A good place to suggest these would be in the 'Suggested Training' sub-forum:

Thanks

Hi Clarence,

To be honest... I don't know. Sometimes the files/projects used can't be cleared for copyright to be distributed...

I can ask...

Cheers
