processor maxing out

when i play a clip in live, any clip, the processor cap. maxes out and the sound clips. I have a quad core processor and have never seen this with any other software. Any ideas?

Hi jer,

Go to Live > Preferences > Audio and try a higher buffer size setting. Also disable any unused outputs.
