Hey Big J.

Editing lyrics is pretty much the same as editing any musical audio... e.g. editing drums. All the same principals apply.

I'd recommend checking out the Logic Flex Time tutorial - http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic9104

and of course the Logic 101 gives plenty of info on essential audio editing:

then there's Steve H's Masterclass #1 which includes some more advanced audio editing workflows such as beat mapping, quantizing audio and groove templates.

Hope this helps

I know in a couple of your macprovideo's you guys are using the Alignvocal plug-in, has anyone here used it, is it worth the six hundred bucks? I have Logic Pro 8, so no flex time. I watched most of the the tutorials you suggested. I keep the monthly subscription so I guess I'll go through them again, after I try Groove template to Midi that is....lol Thanx for your advice, it helps.

The Vocal Align plugin is great but I would rather say upgrade to Logic 9 and make use of the Flex Time. You can get some great results with Flex Time on vocals and other instruments like drums and bass? You can use it also for creative effects like dragging out the length of a sample to create interesting and unexpected effects.

Also a great tool for vocals is Melodyne. It is brilliant for pitching and time manipulating on audio material.
