Hello. I am fairly new to FC Studio 2. I know very little about Soundtrack II but I was hoping someone could give me some help.

How do I take a part of a song, delete it, and then replace it with another part of a song or my own voice?

I have watched several MacPro Video Tutorials, but haven't got to Soundtrack yet. Sorry.

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

do you mean take out say the existing vocals from a track and add your own... like karaoke or something?

If so, this is very hard to get right from an already mixed song.

You could try using the Frequency Selection Tool (when looking at the Frequency Selection View of your track).

You can then delete certain frequencies from the track. (Select them with the tool and press delete).

However, you need to find out where the vocals sit in the mix.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

Rounik,

All I really want to do is take one word (or phrase) from a song and then put in another word or phrase from another song or just use my own recorded voice.

I am sure this is a simple step I just haven't had time to go through the tutorial.

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

Yes, you can follow the steps i detailed above, or refer to section 10 (chapters 69-73) of the STP 101 tutorial.

Let us know if you need any more help.

Cheers
Rounik
