Is there a way to make and mark multiple cuts of an audio file, for deletion or erasure, using Soundtrack Pro's editor, so that there is just 1 command at the end to execute the delete? Having taken up Logic Pro, I am now trying to wean off the program Wave Editor which offers a quick way to clip multiple sections and select some of them on the fly, and then to execute a function to either delete the selected sections at once, or to erase those sections (which has the effect of leaving open space). Does such a thing exist in STP, and if not, is there another methodology that you'd recommend for doing very intensive editing, cutting, deleting etc? For example, the key commands J,K, and L are great for easy navigation, and M can mark the spots, but where is the command to select the region between the Markers or to delete or erase the region between the markers wherever the playhead is. I couldn't find much about this aspect in the STP Core video set, or even in Logic reference materials either, so if anyone knows a way, I'd really appreciate the information. Thanks!

Hi RML

Are you using STP2? I'm not sure that you can make multiple selections in one audio file on the same track.

Yes, it's 2.0.1. If you can't make multiple selections, do you know if there is a keyboard shortcut for selecting the audio between the markers to the right and to the left of the playhead? For me, that would do well enough, as I would just command-x delete as I go. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hi RML,

I'm not certain about the existence of key commands for the function you mention.

In STP2's Help menu you can choose an option to option a PDF guide for Shortcuts for STP3. There you can view all the available KC's and most functions available.
