I can't open Soundtrack Pro. It gets hung up on AU
validation. It gets stuck on Absynth 3 demo. It will not let me click "ok" on the dialog box and I can't find the Absynth 3 demo older to throw it away. I don't know how to keep Soundtrack Pro from finding this and getting hung up on it. The preferences menu is grayed out as long as it gets hung up on the AU validation that it gets hung up on. I have never been able to open Soundtrack Pro since upgrading to Logic Studio 8 over a year ago!

The only folder I can find is my Absynth 3 folder that has long been Authorized. Where is this false Absynth 3 demo "snag" located?

Hi Rob

Try moving all the audio units from the user and root audio units folders and then restart STP. Quit and add one plug-in back at a time and restart... That's usually the best way to find offending plug-ins.

Cheers

Hi Rounik,

I found the problem. I removed both an Absynth demo and a PSP Vintage Warmer demo components. Each time the scan encountered these demo components the process would crash. Now it works fine.
