takes to long

question
i opened a file aiff from the desktop
dragging in to the STP 2 icon and takes about 10 minutes to open the file in this app
so, is this normal?some others files opens very quickly,and some takes to long...

That doesn't sound normal to me.
How big is the aiff file that takes 10 minutes to open?

Do you have all the latest STP and Proapps updates?

Hey Hector,

Click on the Apple symbol (top left corner of screen) and choose Software Update... from the Menu.

Only update what you need to, and of course it's always advisable to backup your system before updating anything. :-)

Use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper and clone (backup) your system to an external Hard disk drive.

This process can take a LONG time! But, it's always good to have a system clone that you know works, so if you install a new update or update your OS X or Logic and things don't work so well, you can restore your system clone.
