Hi,

my name is Helmut Sobek (Germany) and I have a question about STP2 (V2.02)

How I have to configure a BUS(1) (e.g. track 1 & 2) to synchronize it with another BUS(2) (e.g. track 3 & 4) so I can the volume from BUS(1) set to low and on the same time the volume from BUS(2) is set to high?

PS: excuse me for my terrible English!

You would need to put the picture on a server and send us a link ... we don't have the ability to upload attachments in this forum.

I see ... the effect you are looking for is classically called "Ducking" ... and it's accomplished by side-chaining a compressor on the music track, and using the dialog track to act as the control that opens and closes the compressor.

I did not cover this technique in the STP 101 videos, as it is somewhat advanced, but if you search the web for info on Ducking you might find a more detailed account ... it's too much to explain here in a forum thread.

Below is how your post will look once submitted.
