I need to remove a tatoo on somebody and make the removal area look like their natural skin. 1 step removing the tatoo, 2 step would be to brush the natural color of the skin tone? what would be the best way to do this? PS, CS3 user here.

Hi K1,

Find an area of the skin which has the same lighting and skin tone as the one with the tatoo.

Then select the clone tool. Option click on the area you want to clone from (the bit of skin you want to sample).

Now use the clone tool to brush over the tatoo.

Keep re-evaluating the area and option-click on other areas you wish to sample to make it more realistic.

Hope that helps

ha I figured it out already, but I got another dilemma I was given a project to remove some skin under a females breast and round her breast. do I cut the skin area out first then brush over with band aid tool? Cuz the area has different tones from dark to light, to distiguish a ridge line where her breast is round and then goes into her natural skin tone.

Well, I'm not going to ask who your client is!

Personally, I wouldn't cut the area out. I'd try the technique I described above with the clone tool. Bear in mind that you should be careful as to which area you choose to "clone" first. So repeat the cloning process (option-click) to help you get the different tones. Perhaps work with an existing ridge line to help you clone that part.

Hope that helps

is there a chance I can send you a close up of the area that needs to be removed and rounded? I already used the healing band-aid tool to clean up the area.
