I know I've converted a Photoshop file to a PNG file before. I need the image alone here, with no back ground, but PNG isn't showing up as an option in my save as dialogue box.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Blakeloud,

I'm not 100% about this as I don't have Photoshop on this system...

Is it in the save for web option?

It should be in the save as...

Can you use preview to open the psd and then save as... png?

What version of Photoshop are you running?

It is an option when I choose the Save for Web & Devices, but what is the difference between PNG-8 and PNG-24?

I'm actually just importing the PNG in to a Power POint, so what ever would suffice a presentation...

Hi Blakeloud,

I just found this page called png FAQ!

http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngfaq.html#png8-png24

Try saving as both 8bit and 24bit to see which works better in your powerpoint presentation.

Cheers
