In Francesco's iWeb tutorial he shows a Format menu which has a "Mask With Selected Shape" item. My version which is the latest, doesn't have that only - "Mask with Shape".

My version of iWeb is 2.0.4 which is the latest according to Software Update.

Please explain!

Les

Hi Les,

You should find the "Mask With Selected Shape" in iWeb 2.0.4's Format menu. It may be greyed out?

Here is what I do:

1. Select a picture and a shape by shift-clicking on them both. Then I select Format > Mask With Selected Shape:

Hope that helps :-)

Hi Rounik,

Sorry, but there is definitely no "Mask with Selected Shape" in my Format menu - greyed out or otherwise.

Hi

Yes that is exactly what I see when I go to "About iWeb".

I have a Mac Pro with 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon with 4 Gb Ram running 10.5.6

Hi Les,

Is this what you see when you go to the Format menu?

If so, then do make sure you select a picture in iWeb and shift click to also select a shape on the same page.

Now go to the Format menu. It should now show: "Mask with selected shape".

One of the selected items must be a shape, the other must be a picture.

If you are using a picture - try a different picture and let me know the file type of picture and how you imported it into iWeb.

Happy New Year!
