Quicktime logo and question mark

For 4 days I have not been able to load tutorials for a reason I have not yet figured out. I get a Quicktime logo only and sometimes a question mark. I didn't have any problems for the first three weeks of membership at MacProVideo.com The only thing that is different now is that there was a Mac update last week approx. 4/20/2011. No one has bothered to answer my support questions yet and it's now been 5 days since the problem began and I have sent 7 emails to support since the problem. I am a pro member paying $25.00 a month. I have searched the forums and internet for solutions... it seems there are quite a few people that are having issues but no solutions that work and by the way Rounik... your answers are totally useless. Every solution that you have is to contact tech support, wow! Brilliant fix.

Hi Joe,

I'm sorry to hear you've been having some issues watching tutorials online.

Our Support team are available during business hours as is stated on the Support page (Good Friday and Easter Monday were both public holidays) - hence you have not received a reply from us over this Easter weekend.

However, if you sent a ticket on the 20th then please check your Inbox and Spam settings. It could be that a reply has been sent and has been filtered into your email's spam folder.

Most everyone who has experienced this problem in the past has had the issue resolved by simply logging out of their account, emptying the cache in Safari (Safari > Empty cache...) and loggin back in.

Have you tried this?

The reason I suggest user contact Support directly is they have more up-to-date tech info and can more easily get info on your particular setup, machine and versions of OSX, Safari, Quicktime, etc.

Without knowing the version of Quicktime, Safari, OSX, etc you are running I can't really be of more help - as I'm not able to be there in front of your machine and guess where the problem lies and of course cannot diagnose a solution based on guess-work.

Best
Rounik

Hi Joe,

I popped into our Support area and found your earliest correspondence with us according to our system was on Saturday April 23rd.

However, Christian wrote back yesterday to you (Monday 25th):

Hi Joe,

I'm sorry for this issue. I suggest you try the following :

1. Make sure your computer is up to date (Apple Menu > Software Update...)
2. In the Finder, delete everything inside User Account/Library/Caches/Quicktime/downloads
3. Restart your computer, modem and router.
4. Launch your web browser.
5. Clear your browser's cache and try again.

If it still doesn't work, can you please try with another web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari) ?

Let me know if you need more assistance.

All these solutions have been tried and the issue still persists. However, today a few chapters of Core Logic 101 played with a few glitches until Chapter three and the problem came back with the Quicktime Logo. I was unable to reload and also what was watched previous wouldn't play either. So the problem just starts with no clue as to why on this end anyway.

Hi Joe,

That's odd.

Did you find the replies from our Support team in your email? I'd wait and see what we can suggest.

Again, I know very little info about your setup. Definitely not enough to be able to offer any more specific or more fine-tuned suggestions.

Hope you get this resolved very soon.

Thanks
R
