virus's

how can i check my mac for virus's? its started runnin really slow on the internet. its not connection cause checked PC and thats runnin pretty fast.

i did that utilities/disc/permissions thing 2 weeks ago and not had any problems till tonight

There are officially no viruses for the Mac out in the wild... but there is some malware, although nothing that should affect the speed of your Mac.

What browser are you using? Safari?

If so, have you tried emptying the cache - from the Safari menu?

Do you have the latest updates (from Apple Menu > Software Update)?

How much free disk space do you have?

Is browsing in general really slow - or certain sites?
