Hi,

I"ve always been confused with NED on Leopard.
I was so easy for me on Tiger.

First, I don't understand why I have locks on many videos.

Also, I want to have my videos in Home-Movies-Ned folder but I'm not sure if the the videos in NED refer to this location. It used to be written in NED on Tiger.

I think some videos are doubled too. I,m not sure. How can I make sure and eliminate those.

I'm not sure why NED keeps downloading videos I allready have...

Thanks for your help

Andre

Hi Andre,

Are you using NED 2?

The NED tutorial files are by default stored in:
[Home]/Documents/NED/

You can alter this location within NED's menu.

Do check in both locations for doubled tutorials.

I'd recommend contacting Support as well if you are unable to get NED to reference your preferred folder for NED tutorials.

I have NED 3.

I threw the preference file away like Martin explains in his tutorial. So now it's better.

Then, in preferences, I've set my NED folder in Home-Movies.

The only thing left now is that 2 of my tutorials have locks to them, I don't know why or what it means.

In the past, locks have appeared on various videos for no apparent reason.

Hi Order

Please check that those two 'locked' tuts are in the correct location. If not, you'll need to go to the Admin & Downloads page of NED and make sure they are enabled (ticked).

Hope that helps

The two locked videos are in my Home-Movies-NED folder and in the LIBRARY list, but not in the DEMOS list, so I can't download them.

4 more videos are also in the LIBRARY list and missing from DEMOS list, but they are not locked.

This morning, suddenly, 7 more videos were locked and there were only 34 videos in the LIBRARY list instead of 41. So I just went through the ADD function to recreate the link and all was fine except the 2 locked videos. This often happens.

Al this is a mystery to me. Am I doing anything wrong or is it a software problem?

Hi Order

I'm not quite sure I follow... Your purchased tutorials will not appear in the 'Demo' list as they are not demos but are full versions...

Make sure you have all the purchased tutorials ticked / enabled in the Admin section.

It might be a good idea to contact us via Support so we can more closely advise on these issues you are having.

OK! I'll contact support.

My purchased videos are OK. The problem seems to be with some Demos.
