I have just purchased and downloaded the HD Final Cut Studio 3 suite of tutorial videos (special offer) and would like to back them up to CD or DVD using the Burn button in the interface. I burned a CD of Color 1.5 at some 675MB but when checking the disc in my Mac a warning window opened to say "this disc is not recognized". What have I done wrong or can I not back up HD Tutorials to disc? I assume from previous threads, if I understand it correctly, that a copy of N.E.D. is also incorporated into each back-up so that it can be loaded on to any machine if the tutorials are not already present. Any thoughts gratefully appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello Michael,

This should work fine... If it doesn't you can try the following:

- Quit NED
- On your Desktop choose File > Create Burn Folder
- Open the Burn Folder
- Open a new finder window and drag the Color 1.5 tutorials file from:
[Your User Name] / Documents / NED /
into the Burn Folder.
- Drag the NED application from the Applications folder into the Burn Folder.
- Click on the 'Burn' button in the Burn Folder to begin the burn to CD/DVD process.

Hope that helps

Hi Amerikwi,

Yes, this is to make a Data DVD. You can't burn NED tutorials to DVD-Video format to be played back on a set-top DVD player. You need NED on a Mac/PC/iPhone/iPad to be able to playback tutorial videos.

Standard DVD-video format isn't High Definition like the NED tutorials anyway :)
