Hi guys,

I'm still getting NED crashing on every download. I've tried disabling everything in the downloads list but NED is still trying to download "Tutorial 1 of 1" after which it crashes. There's no indication of what it is that it's trying to download.

Perhaps some cached request to download a file or something?

That's supported by my moving my NED download folder and running NED with a blank folder and trying to download just, eg LOGIC9304. I still get FCP101 in the brand new folder, despite that not being selected in the Download list.

I used to have FC5 101 but that's disabled in my downloads now.

I've deleted Prefs and downloaded a fresh copy of NED and the problems still occurs.

Anyway, it's a reproducable fault so I can send a crash log or diagnostic info, if required.

Thanks - this is getting very frustrating...

Pete

Hi Pete,

Are you on 10.6.4 and running the latest NED for Mac?

Please could you copy and paste your message and include the crash report to our Support team:

They'll be able to take a look on Monday.

Sorry again for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime you can use NEDweb player to play your purchased tutorials online. Log-in to macProVideo.com and click on the 'Launch Player' link at the top of the page.

Thanks

Hi NED for Mac,

Welcome to the forums.

What exactly is "broken"..? It works fine here and for the vast majority of our users.

Please could you send a ticket to our Support team with info on your system spec, e.g. Mac system, OSX version, Quicktime version, etc.

They'll do their very best to help.

Thanks
Rounik

Sorry I'm not in the vast majority. I've sent several crash reports without resolution.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Without more details or a name I can't look up your ticket history on our Support area...

Have you had any success using NED 2 instead?

When I first reported this problem, Rounik and Christian sorted it out pretty quickly (though the fix wasn't documented in this forum).

It turned out that there was an old, rogue download (I recall it was an outdated FCP tutorial) that was causing the problem. I took that out of the download schedule and all was well.

There had been a free upgrade to the FCP tutorials so I lost nothing.

Hope that helps.

Pete
