Hi Spencerbutler,

Welcome to the forums!

What version of NED are you running? In fact what version of OSX are you running too? (e.g. 10.4.x, 10.5.x, etc)

Have you got the latest version of Quicktime installed?

If you are running OS 10.5.x and have downloaded the latest version of NED (NED 3.1) have you referred to the videos on how to use NED?
http://www.macprovideo.com/support/

It's really important that you log in to NED using the same username and password you used when purchasing tutorials.

Thanks
Rounik

Same with me too. Same specs.
It tells me to go to tutorials and hit the update button to authorize the machine. I don't see that in NED.
Note: Thats what I get when clicking on view demos in the list in NED too.

I log in correct, hit admin and then download. nothing it's crazy.
They should have an options to get a DVD by mail and download your order.
I know it's one of them day's. :(

Can anyone give us a hand to help with the download issue?
Thanks,

Same here. The dialog box tells me to log in (I did) and go to the Tutorials pane-->Update. There is no update button available. Am using version 3.0.1.

Their Support sent this info to me and it worked . make sure to not update until ver 2.0 is loaded first!

1. Download NED 2.0
http://www.macprovideo.com/MPV/NED_2-Mac.zip
2. An update dialog window will open. Click on "Skip this version"
3. Click on the "Download" tab and hit "Update".

Hope this helps you too.
Would be nice if they posted it for everyone like I am.

well done, producer!

works fine now. It would be nice if they made this a sticky, or at least added the correct info in the email download. These files are pricey to have to jump through hoops.

Hi everyone,

Was this the first time launching NED that you were experiencing these problems?

Yes, indeed. But I think we all agree that the fix posted above does the trick. It definitely seems to be a bug in NED 3.x.

here is what I did:

1. Close N.E.D. 3.x and delete it.

2. Delete the com.nonlineareducating.NED3.plist file in the User->Library->Preferences-> folder.

3.Download NED 2.0
http://www.macprovideo.com/MPV/NED_2-Mac.zip

4. An update dialog window will open. Click on "Skip this version"

5. Click on the "Download" tab and hit "Update". At this point the tutorials were located and began downloading.

6. At any point after that, reinstall N.E.D. 3.x and everything should work fine.

Hi Josue18,

Can you tell us what version of OS X you're running? I'm not sure why you wish to use NED 2...

Does the latest version of NED for Mac not work?

Have you tried contacting the MPV Support team for help?

How do I resolve?

I have tried deletng the preference list and starting again again but with no succes.

Incidentally I downlaoded tutorials back in 2008 and whilst they show in my tutorials folded they also do not now download - nor can I currently find these 2008 tutorials on my Mac
