I just installed N.E.D. and was able to log in to my account. Unfortunately, the two tutorials I purchased do not show up. I went to my account and they are listed as approved for download. An additional note - I am able to access demos (a list of demo videos does appear in the tutorial panel). Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Yes, I did check out the help section in N.E.D. and there was nothing that addressed this issue)

Same problem here. Messaged tech support (who say they'll respond within 24 hrs) last week. This assurance proved to be just as flakey as their lame software. Pretty damned annoying when you've just shelled out $39 for something you can't actually watch :o(
The solution is to delete the "com.nonlineareducating.NED3.plist" file in the User->Library->Preferences-> folder...

....then download NED 2.0
http://www.macprovideo.com/MPV/NED_2-Mac.zip

...an update dialog window will open. Click "Skip this version"

...click on the "Download" tab and hit "Update".
This version WILL detect, download and hey, even play the vidz u bought. Good luck!

(I got this from another helpful forum member)

Hi,

I'm surprised to hear that you didn't get any answer from us. Please check your spam folder because we respond to every support requests within 24 hours, Monday through Friday...

I'm very sorry you had some issues with NED 3.1.4. This issue is now fixed in the 3.1.5 version of NED. To download your tutorials, please do the following :

1. Make sure NED is closed.

2. Open a Finder window and go to your user account > Library > Preferences

3. Find the com.nonlineareducating.NED3.plist and the NED_Player.plist and delete them both. (Don't worry if you don' t find the NED_Player.plist file but it's important to delete it if you find it.)

4. Re-open NED. You will get a prompt saying that there is a new version of NED available (3.1.5). Click on "Install Update" and NED will download the new version.

5. Click on "Install and Relaunch". You will have to enter your login/password again.

6. If you changed the Download Folder location, you'll have to do that again under NED > Preferences.

7. Click on "Downloads & Admin", press the "Download" button, make sure that all tutorials are enabled and hit "Download" again.

If you need any more help with NED, please write support here :

Sincerely,

After I switched to Lion, the player window came up 2 times, but I couldn't play the videos, said they were not downloaded, and when I tried to download them again, it wouldn't work. Now the player window doesn't come up at all.

Obviously Lion doesn't work with NED.

Contacted support had a wait a few days but I wouldn't have minded if they would've fixed the problem.

I don't have 3ivx video codec suite. I do have NED 3.3.7 and Mac OS 10.7.3. I also deleted the NED preference folder.

Obviously Lion doesn't work with NED.

And if there is a fix for this they should be ashamed for not putting information up on their website, but instead, they let their customers have fend for themselves.

I love the video tutorials. They are some of the best I've ever seen.

But shame on you for such lousy support.

I hope this gets to somebody that has the intelligence to understand that not keeping your support up to date is a major mistake. Why go to the trouble of producing beautiful video tutorials and at the same time keep your customers frustrated.

I'm having the same problem. Running Lion 10.7.3 and although NED runs, the tutorials will not download. This is very frustrating because the video quality of the web player is low and it's difficult to see the fine details in the logic video tutorial. I've requested a support ticket.

I'm not sure why you say you had to "wait for a few days" for us to answer as I replied 16 hours after you wrote support.

Don't worry, NED 3.3.7 and Lion are compatible. Please write support and we'll help you out...

Thanks!
