Windows 7 and N.E.D.

Hi, I have purchased a number of tutorials and they are supported fine on my PC with the Windows XP but it does not work on my laptop with the Windows 7. Is there any chance to have the N.E.D player updated so it can be supported by new Windows opperational system? Thanks

No news yet. In the meantime I'd recommend trying out the Online Subscription service. The Pro Sub gives you access to our entire library of training titles directly in your Browser using NEDweb.

I have contacted support on this issue also. Hopefully I can access the tutorials I bought.

Just so I'm clear - does this mean I now have to purchase an online subscription in order to view on my win 7 machine the tutorials I've already purchased? Or is there some sort of provision for those of us in this situation? Win 7 has been out for quite a while now...

No need to do that!

If you have purchased an HD download tutorial you can access it online through NEDweb for no extra charge.

1. Log in to www.macprovideo.com

2. Click on the 'Launch Player' button (top right)

3. Navigate to the tutorials you have purchased and begin watching :)

I would really want to know why isn't the N.E.D. aplication supporting 64-bit Windows. Even Quicktime is, and it seems N.E.D. is using Quicktime to play the videos. So, what's the problem exactly?

Although Quicktime is officially working in 64-bit mode in Windows 7, I believe there are certain components of QT that are not fully 64-bit compatible which has caused some issue.

I'm not 100% up to date with this situation, but believe this to still be the case... All I can suggest for PC users currently that wish to run Windows in 64-bit mode is to use one the workarounds (to emulate 32-bit mode) and/or use NEDweb for the time being.
