After installing Windows 7 on my main computer, I am not able to install N.E.D.
When I try to install it, the installer prompts me to install QuickTime 7.0 or later. I accept this and the installer downloads and installs QuickTime 7.50.61.0. After the QuickTime installation has completed, nothing else happens: the N.E.D installation never resumes.
If I attempt to start the N.E.D installer again, I am prompted with a dialog box that says "Can't create output file: C:-Users-Mike-AppData-Local-Temp-sqt.exe" (this form won't let me use backslashes so I've replaced them with '-' characters)
If I delete that file and try again, I am once more prompted to install QuickTime 7.0 or later, even though I have an up to date copy of QuickTime installed.
This is a vicious circle.
Can anyone suggest anything to help?
TIA,
Mike
