The idea is great and when it works it'll be wonderful. The issue for me at least is that it hardly works.
I'm pulling a Tutorial from my MacBookPro I find that-
#1) It's boat anchor slow.
#2)Keeping the two devices close to enhance any signal is a bit of a pain.
#3) Synch doesn't work. I was able to get about half of the Dreamweaver toot downloaded and Pffft!
Now NED doesn't like to connect to the iPod and nothing I do -restart of either or both locations of software and then restarting both machines and software doesn't improve the (non)performance. I can't resume the download and can't download anything else from NED.
#4) There is no real effective trouble shooting help. It's really just a group of annoyed customers complaining bitterly and trying to help each other.
#5) Don't understand -why no access from Tiger?

I'm going to chuck this version (of NEDi ) when I figure how to and wait for version 3. By then others with more time will have sorted out the issues and posted the necessary work-arounds (v2) and then the developer will have read the forums sorted the issues and perhaps solved them.
Adios amigo's

Hi Marcintosh,

(Nice alias name by the way ;)

1) We're working on better ways to sync NEDi and NED. At present NED converts the videos to iPhone format and then transfers them to the NEDi app. There may be a way to cut this process down in the future.

Otherwise, on my system at home it takes me upto 20 minutes to transfer a large 2-3 tutorial.

2) I'm not aware whether this will make a difference seeing as iPhone and Mac are talking to the wireless network not directly to each other

3) What do you mean it doesn't work? Does your iTouch switch off/crash/what happens?

4) That's why we recommend for any technical issues you can contact our Support Team:
http://www.macprovideo.com/support/

5) NEDi can only sync with NED 3.1.x or above presently. NED 2 and 3 use specific OSX 10.5 technology.

Sorry it's not working out for you. If you have any suggestions for future versions of NEDi do post a new thread about it. We'd love to hear what you want for future versions.

Please be assured our programmers do read these forums and they're working really hard on NED and NEDi updates and future versions. Occasionally they take time out to reply here too when possible :)

Hope that helps
Rounik

This hasn't worked for me since day one. I keep checking back to see if it's fixed yet but nope!

The issue I have and it seems a lot of others is the handshaking with my ipod touch.

I get a succesful connection and when I upload a video I get the progress bar and all but just red tutorials on my touch.

bah!

Hi belmiro

Sorry to hear you're still not able to get your tutorials on to your iPodTouch!

We have similar setups. I'm on 10.5.6 and I've personally been successful transferring videos to NEDi

What version of NED are you running?
What OS version is your iPodTouch running?
Is your iPodTouch 1st Gen or 2nd Gen?
Any additional info about how you have setup your wireless network and what is connected and how would be useful too.

You can post back here and/or contact our Support team too:

Thanks

Any closer? I've been unable to use NEDi since it's launch.

I've closely followed the online instructions, am using the most recent versions of OSX, NED, iPhone, and Quicktime. NEDi shows syncing of videos to my iPhone but on the device they're all in red. Clicking on them does nothing.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, un-synced and re-synced, re-enabled the handshake, and all of this is wireless over an Apple AirPort system. No joy.

Same here. I occasionally get a partial success, but most of the entries are red. Now I can't even get it to try again as it won't remove the partial downloads. Good idea but it's not usable for me.
