Hi,

As per the linked image, not all of my tutorials are available for syncing to NEDi. Can you let me know how I go about accessing all of them please?

**EDIT** Don't worry, it was some corrupted pgrm files in my main directory that were causing the problem.

Thanks,
Steve

Hey all,

Are the tutorials that aren't showing up downloaded or DVD tutorials?

Are they located on the main drive of the computer? (For instance not on external media)

Any other info about your situation would be helpful!

In my case they are downloaded and located in the documents folder in my home folder. I've tried deleting preferences and reinstalling N.E.D.. Nothing has worked so far. I'm using a MacBook Pro 233 ghz. & the latest OS.

Anybody know what a bug is? It is something that "gets fixed" as soon as it is well documented.

I find there is a bug in N.E.D.i, that, I think, many other people have also reported. So now it is time for the" fix it soon" part to happen

Hi ges,

I appreciate you want a fix as soon as possible. I'm sure that other users who are experiencing similar issues do too. On top of that, of course, so do we at macProVideo!

I am not a programmer, but am aware that fixing bugs, if rushed, could even introduce other glitches. I think we would all agree, that a little bit of extra time spent testing as many scenarios as possible & creating a good fix would be better for the NEDi community than rushing out a bug fix.

Any extra info that people can add to this thread to aid our programmers with their experiences will be most welcome so we can squish this bug in the first release of NEDi :)

Thank you to everyone for your patience :)

I am having the same problem. A few observations. Some vids (the older Logic 7 vids can't even be unchecked when I tried unchecking the Enable box as suggested but all the others can!

Hmmmm.

This tells me that NED is seeing these files differently. That is where one bug is! : ) You can see this in the first link below. Also notice that the server is called when I attempt to uncheck so the bug is likely somewhere near the code that calls the server. Maybe the server info that needs to be called has changed in relation to these older tutorials.

Moving on....

If NED sees certain files as valid for disabling and others as not then I wondered what files do show up in our lists as available to sync? Maybe the differences that keep me from being able to disable a tutorial are the same ones that NED notices as not valid to put in the sync window.

Here are the only ones that work for me:

It is interesting to note that one vid that shows up Steve's Masterclass could be unchecked in the first shot I provided. Note I have 2 Plugin tutorials because after Logic 8 came out I made the mistake of thinking a new one had been created. So one is older which explains why one could be unchecked (the newer one) and the other not (the older one)

I tend to think that the newer vids are more probable to show in the sync. And it might be related to this server checking that could be different between the two.

Forgive my verbose explanation and assumptions about something I know nothing about. : ) I just want this FIXED!!! : )

I'm also having the same issues. I've got 29 tutorials, and nine of them are showing up on the list. At first glance it seemed like more recent ones, but that's not true. There's no logical (!) pattern.

BTW; one other thing I'm a bit curious about is how much storage space are each of the tutorials taking on our phones and touches? Would it be easy to add the size of each of the tutorials in the sync list?
Pretty cool concept; hopefully we can get these problems worked out.

Thanks,

Marcel

Thanks for the feature request.

Hopefully in the future we will offer the ability to sync specific tutorials as well as showing the filesize :D

Good job guys. After taking the latest NED update and trashing the preferences (which is key or NED crashed for me) I am now able to see my tutorials for sync!!!

I am noticing also other fixes and nice things as well.

Thanks!!
