Nedi No Longer Recognizes My Device and.........

After syncing Protools 101, I tried to move on to Reason 4 tutorial.
N.E.D only shows my iPhone icon in the Device column and does not recognize it by name. Also seems crashy.
Occasionally it will move to the sync window, but tells me my device is locked or being used on another computer. Huh

I have the same issue.

I think when your phone gets interrupted (e.g. SMS or call) then it stops. As the syncing process can only be done with the Encoding process this will take a while. I have found if you turn your phone off and back on it seems to become unlocked. A pain I know but this does fix it.

I think N.E.D.i version 1 is a great start but maybe a couple things could have been done differently.

As it can only sync over a wireless network, maybe having the option like "Prepare iPhone Version", then N.E.D can go and do that. Once it's done, just sync your phone and off you go. Making the encoding and syncing process so intrinsically connected makes it difficult as the time frame is blown out somewhat.

I have quite a few Tutorials from these guys, and I'd like to go to bed and let my Mac encode them over night (it will take a while) and then when I get up I can just sync them to my phone and off they go.

Of course let's remember this is version 1, and these guys have provided good products in the past, so let's hope they fix the issues soon.
