Goodday

My N.E.D. is not showing my iphone as device in devices area (as shown in the NEDi tut)

I have done a reset on the iphone and the router after succesfully upgrading N.E.D. and putting the app on the iphone. I'm using the same wireless network on y iphone as on my macbook (OSX 10.5.6)Hope I'm just clumsy here;-)

Thanx

Hi Bodhi

We sent you a reply from Support at 14:40 (GMT) on 4th May. I received your last email to Support at 14:30 GMT.

Please check your spam filtering to make sure it's not blocking any @macprovideo.com addresses.

Have you upgraded NED to 3.1.2?

Thanks

Yep yep

As mentioned above, I have upgraded to the latest version as NED mentions this after trying to upgrade again.

Hopefully you are able to resend it because I have only received your confirmation mail of receiving the mail with my problem.

Thnx.

Hi Bodhi

Do you have the latest firmware update for your iPhone?
Are you using the original iPhone or the iPhone 3G?
To clarify have you followed all the steps in NEDi's 'Admin' section
and in the NEDi setup videos?

Thanks

I can share with you that it is the latest version on my iphone 3G. I have followed all steps as shown in the NEDi tut.

As mentioned in the tut after launching NEDi with the iphone connected to my Macbook there should appear a My iphone icon in the devices area on NED. This doesn't happen at all.
So therefor I am not able to go on.

Hi Bodhi.

Thanks for re-sending your mail. But, honestly, there was no need. I can receive mail through SUpport fine.... I have your correspondence.

In my previous post on this forum thread I meant that I have resent the Support email to you, that you said you had not received before.

Did you receive that email from Support sent about 15 minutes ago???

Please reply here to tell me and then depending on the answer we will have to investigate how you are not receiving support emails to your email address.

Thanks
R

So obviously you have not received my long email from Support.

The other emails you have received are not sent my me ;) they are automatically sent to tell you when someone has replied to your post on the forum...

Firstly, most email accounts have a "safe list" or a SPAM list to either 'allow' or 'block' certain email addresses

please make sure mpvsupport@macProVideo.com is on a safe list.

Second, please try these 10 steps:

Hi Bodhi

So can you please double check in NED:

1. Launch NED

2. NED > About NED
(what version of NED are you running?)

3. If you need to please update to NED 3.1.2 (released on Monday 4th)

4. Quit NED on your Mac

5. Go to *Your account* / library / Preferences and delete: "com.nonlineareducating.NED3.plist" and "NED_Player.plist"

6. Re-boot your iPhone

7. Double check that your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network as your Mac

8. Launch NED on the Mac

9. Launch NEDi

10. You should see your iPhone in the Devices area in NED.

Please let me know if this works now or if not, which step you had problems with.

Kind regards

R
