Dear macProVideo Team
Thanks for the iPad version of N.E.D. once again. It has quickly become my favorite way of watching tutorials!
I noticed a few things though. I bought about 18 HD tutorials to date. And because of time reasons I can only go through them slowly. A few videos a week (single videos, not whole tutorials). So it's hard to remember where I left off if I casually watch 3-4 tutorial series at the same time. Where did I leave last time? Was it Logic 102 or 201 or 301? The names are so similar... And what video in that series? 21 or 55?
So it would be nice if there was kind of either a bookmarking system to be able to place several bookmarks per tutorial series or some kind of "history" page with the last viewed videos to quickly access the last videos that were viewed on the iPad.
Also, N.E.D. for iPad always starts in streaming mode, so I have to always press "Download" to go to my downloaded tutorials. Then I need to find the tutorial from the long list, and then tap through the sometimes deep hierarchy of videos. It would be really nice not needing to TAP through them but to see all of the videos in a tree hierarchy like the table of contents in a book.
At the moment, I need to drill down, try to find the last video I watched, then tap, tap, tap go up again, drill into the next branch and so on. I would like to rather see an indented list of all the videos AT ONCE in ONE screen. And have kind of a column with "watched" where I can tap and flag a video as watched or unwatched so I always know which videos I've seen already and which ones I haven't seen yet.
This would greatly keeping track of all the videos one has seen and of the ones still need to be watched.
I have the same complaint in N.E.D. for Mac. Although it keeps one single bookmark, it's not really usable. If I watch video 26 of tutorial A and two days later want to quickly have a look into something completely different in tutorial B, the bookmark is gone and I need to find the video I last watched in tutorial A again. Here, as well, the video hierarchy is confusing. I spend more time clicking, opening hierarchy levels, looking for videos, than for really enjoying the tutorial.
A similar approach could be taken. On the left, just have the tutorial list. Then show the full video list hierarchy somewhere else, accessible by a button or so that unfolds the whole list of videos for complete overview. With another click, the ToC goes out of the way again.
In this video list I could also mark the videos I've already watched to keep track of what I've seen so far and what remains to be watched.
Thanks a lot!
