[quote:]In the last month 0.47% of our traffic has come from the iPad ... 70% of our customers are outside of the US which means the vast majority of our customers don't even have access to the devices yet.

Just FYI it's a massive investment in infrastructure and programming to convert our over 10,000 videos in 160+ tutorials into iPad format to satisfy less than a half a percent of our customers ... but we are doing so.

Should have it rolled out by the end of next week ...

To be fair, people wouldn't visit MPV on an iPad if it doesn't work. ;)

Yeah we finally got an iPad up here in Canada last week ... :)

We've been testing with the AV Fundamentals section so you can check that out now. Looks pretty great on the iPad though ... I like the full screen option.

In the next few days we'll be finishing the programming for the menus so you can scroll them with the iPad ... it's coming along ...

True, but they still have to visit MPV to figure out it doesn't work, and that's not happening in droves yet.

However, we're undertaking an across the board review of the site to make it HTML 5 compatible as we want to be on the leading edge as the web switches to this new format ...

Looking good. Not sure how I feel about the widescreen instead of fullscreen, though. Will the iPad compatibilty just be for NEDweb or will the n.e.d.i app get an update as well?

I would be happy to sync in the 'old' way and 'simply' convert as it synced... just to throw my bid in.

i know that is not simple... but maybe less time intensive for you all?

Why has macprovideo, just totally dropped the ball on this one?

First, martin promises in my other post it will be a week (maybe sarcastically), and still no word.

Second, the N.E.D for iPhone sucks on iPad, as you can barely see the videos

Third, they made excuses of not having an iPad. Come on, screencastsonline (located in england) had one, and it wasn't released there.

Fourth, they have done nothing with NED WEB to make it usable to iPad Users.

I may sound pissed, I guess, because I am. I turn to macprovideo for my training needs, and they have dropped the ball on this horribly. Yes, horribly. Who else feels my pain? I'm going to have to evaluate other training sources, where they at least don't discriminate against iPad Users. This whole fiasco has been a nightmare.

Also, they have new releases, and they're still in incompatible video formats WTH.

Hi Wescravn

we haven't "dropped the ball" on this. Far from it, we're working really hard on it!... I can't say more than that ;)

I didn't detect any sarcasm... Did you read Martin's posts above?

Thanks for your patience,
Rounik

i don't know if 'dropped the ball' is the right phrase here.

look, i REALLY want ipad compatibility (i don't have an iphone) but it IS a pretty large amount of work for a small subset of their base.

they have an ipad now, so that hurdle has been jumped, now we just wait.

Our entire library is slowly being converted to H264 to be iPad compatible. Please note we have roughly 10,000+ videos to reconvert from source then upload (many gigs) to our web host.

NEDweb 1.6 will be released this week for sure, possible today. We are just putting the finishing touches on it. It will be fully iPad compatible.

Our iPad app is looking very promising and will likely be released in the next few weeks.

And we do have an iPad for testing now.

The wait is almost over.

NEDweb 1.6 has been released. We are still currently running on all cylinders while converting and uploading the new h.264 format, but a number of our tutorials are already available for your viewing pleasure.

A number of other enhancements have been done to increase the responsiveness of the NEDweb video player.

Enjoy! And please report any bugs here.

Thanks guys!
