Has anyone experienced this? I open the web player and my speakers are bludgeoned with a terribly loud noise, something like a sine wave. It's not the same everytime, and sometimes when I reload it works. Sometimes, I can get the noise to disappear, but the audio is garbled. My Fireface 800 has no problem recognizing any other audio content, and I should be able to use MPV web player even if I have Logic open at another sampling rate, correct?

I haven't received any response from MPV on my support ticket in days, so hopefully someone can help me. I'm going to blow out my eardrums (and speaker) and I can't make use of my subscription!

Thanks.

Hi innovationstation

Welcome to the forums.

Can you please tell me the versions of OSX and Quicktime you are running. It look like for some users there is an issue with the very latest update for Quicktime.

We're working hard to fix it - could you try the following videos on NEDweb to see if they playback OK please. (Click on the Free Preview Videos on the right):

Thanks

Hi Rounik,

The videos you asked me to look at worked fine. Whatever you did should be applied to the other videos as well!

Since I haven't been able to use the service since upgrading to Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (with the new QuickTime X), is there any way I can get a credit on my account for 1 month?

Also, how will I know when the fix has been applied to other videos?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave

Great to know the new CS5 videos work well for you. We're already in the process of applying the fix to our entire library of videos!

It's odd that on my system: 10.6.2, latest Quicktime X NEDweb works completely fine. Do you have Quicktime 7 installed?

Can you try this?

Please insert your 10.6 SL install DVD.

Open the 'Optional Installs' folder.

Launch 'Optional installs.mkpg'

Select Quicktime 7 and click Continue.

Run software update to get the latest version of Quicktime 7 if needed.

Let them know your thoughts and you can link back to this thread too in your correspondence with them.

Many thanks
