Hello,

Goal:
I'd like to have Flash Players on my iWeb sites in place of the QT movies and audio.

Questions:
Does anyone know of a Quicktime to Flash Converter program that will also convert QT audio to Flash?
Or do we have to buy separate programs for each?

Thanks,

PS I was at NAMM last week and met Martin

Hi AudioGirl,

Welcome to the MPV forums! Hope you had a fantastic time at NAMM!

Do you own Flash CS5?

AFAIK, it's difficult to convert from Flash to Quicktime... but Quicktime to Flash is easier especially if you have Adobe Media Encoder (comes bundled with Adobe's CS5.

Another option - is VisualHub... although free, it appears to have been discontinued but can still be found here:

Hope this helps!

btw, we've got a blog area you might be interested in checking out... in fact, I wrote an article about NAMM a couple of days back. Would be interested to know if you agree!

So Flash CS5 will convert QT and audio .wav and MP3, etc., to Flash?
I'll definitely look into it.

I did check out VisualHub Yesterday but couldn't find ONE program that did both kind of conversions... I may have missed it.

I'll read your article. Sounds interesting.

Thanks again!

Yup!

Well, it's an app called "Adobe Media Encoder CS5" that does the job. I just tried it out on an H.264 QT movie and it converted effortlessly to FLV (f4v) file. Audio was all intact.

It appears to support conversion from a huge no. of different file types, e.g. mp3, jpeg, aiff, mpg, psd, vob, mp4, m4v, bmp... (the list is too long to type out!!)

I can't remember if Adobe Media Encoder comes with Flash CS5 or one of the CS5 suites...

Hope this helps :)

Okay, Adobe Media Encoder CS5. I had checked out Vertical Moon per someone's suggestion but it seemed limited upon 1st perusal.

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge & expertise Rounik. It's VERY much appreciated...

Disregard my earlier confuddlement;
I finally found it's "bundled" with Flash CS5. Mystery solved.
Thanks!
