wma files

i slowly starting to do away with my pc now so im just runnin my mac, im takin a few music files over and most are already mp3 but some are wma files. i thought if i droppe them into itunes it would convert them automatically for me but i cant even drop them in. how do i go about converting them?

In order to use your .wma files on your Mac, they'll need to be converted to mp3 or AAC format. There are numerous WMA to mp3 converters out there, I would recommend doing a Google search.

One example is http://www.easywma.com/.

Just wanted to add one more thing...

If your Windows computer is still available, you could do the wma to mp3 conversion in iTunes for Windows (via drag and drop), and then copy those new mp3 files across to your Mac.

thanks for the reply.

i got a converter called switch. does the job pretty well.

yea i still have the pc. will never get rid of it until it spontaneously combust but i just dont use it cause its not a sniff on the mac os.

what i need to do is set up to itunes librarys on a hard drive, one for my dj tunes and one for all my albums etc but everytime i do it syncs the 2 librarys together??
