Dual Layer Break point problems...again!

I have read and reread all the info on the web about the infamous breakpoint error using Dual Layer DVD's. My problem occurs almost everytime I try to burn a dual layer and it is quite frustrating. I set up my project in DVDSP 4 using 12 chapter points. I then click build , while keeping the inspector set to automatic and Dual layer. After I go to format and see there are never any good layer break point choices. Then i add 10 more chapter points around the middle of the 2h:30m project and do the process over again to find I still have no good choices...I do this 3-6 times til I get one. There has to be a better way. I spend hours per disc. Any help would be great.
PS: My main chapter points usually have motion fx in them.
I am doing mostly Weddings.
