I have Final Cut Studio 2. I have no interest in buying version 3 until I learn version 2.

I found and bought these used Apple Pro Training Series books from someone on eBay.

Final Cut 6
Final cut 6 Beyond Basics
The craft of editing with Final Cut Pro
Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2
Motion 3
Color
Soundtrack Pro 3
Compressor reference guide
DVD Studio Pro 4

I would like to work on every one of these books from cover to cover.

Question:
In which order should I use these books?

I figure that Final Cut Pro 6 should be the first book to read.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Kenny,

Well, you know I'm going to recommend the macProVideo Final Cut 6 101 tutorial. Really, it is easily one of my top five. I had tried using a book to learn FCP before, but the tutorial by Michael Wohl (who also writes some of the Apple Pro Training series books too) got me up and running extremely quickly!

But, I digress... if you really want to use the books, then I'd start with the Final Cut 6 book and then choose whether to continue with FCp Beyond the basics or other apps.

Final Cut 7 hasn't changed a huge amount for new users compared to FCP6 btw.

:)
