It's driving me mad!!

Can't seem to accurately control the duration of short clips in iMovie'11 -

For example, I enter 3.6s in the clip adjustment box and the clip becomes 4.2s long -
I enter 2.6s in the box and the clip becomes 3.2s, etc, etc.

However many times I try I can't seem to get it to 3.6s, which I need to hit a cue.

Anyone know why this is happening and how to cure it?

best to all
Paul

iMovie is not known for it's edit point trimming accuracy. If you're at that level of editing, you need to seriously consider Final Cut Pro X.

In the mean time, be sure you have the Fine Tune controls turned on. This may help, perhaps.
