Hi Folks,

I am experimenting with using an external audio recorder for the soundtrack to some video footage. The camera I am using doesnt have an external mic input so I am using my iPhone as a recorder. Both the camera (flip HD) and the audio recorder (iProRecorder) should be recording at 44.1KHz but when I import the audio into iMovie it quickly shifts out of sync.

Is it possible in iMovie to stretch an audio track so it slows down slightly and comes into sync?

I currently have 90 seconds of footage that is out of sync by nearly 1/2 second by the end

Cheers

J

I'm not familiar with the FlipHD video cameras, but the standard for digital video is 48kHz at 16-bit audio. The sample rate (kHz) is what makes audio "drift" out of sync when it's not match properly. Try recording your audio at 48kHz on your iPhone.
