This tutorial is great. I purchased it as a download as I am interested in mixing guitars (I'm not a guitar player). Even though I am an audio engineer; I learnt new ways of working even within the first 7 chapters! Sure, some of it was quite basic but it has to cover everything. For example, I'd never thought to use a spectral analyser to see the eq peaks before then using an eq to adjust - id previously used knowledge and hearing only to do this task, so I'll enjoy practising the new ways ...

Rich, You are the best tutor!. Why?, because you get straight to the point. Your lessons are "Short and Sweet" and you know what you are talking about and you like to share your knowledge and don't hold anything back. Most of the trainers from Macprovideo are too slow to explain, unnecessarily make a mountain out of an ant hill and keep repeating themselves, this gets very tiring after a while. Your tutorials are great, Rich, keep up the good work.

Rich Tozzoli's Mixing Toolbox was a great and detailed tutorial. Rich explain every step he does and also why he does it. For me its always important to know why things is being done in a mix, Rich covers this very well. I will recommend this to all Pro Tools users.

A very well thoughtout and delivered tutorial for addressing recording guitars, both via mic placement & selection and DI signal and how to blend those tones to achieve an effect much greater than the sum of its parts. Nicely done!

Finally finished with these tutorials, so what i can say - the whole series is sorta trend - it's not just another tutorial about what daw is or how to mix vocals. It's THE tutorial. Very interesting to watch and finally to know something really new. May I give a suggestion to expand this direction - next thing that i'd personally really want to see - tutorials about producing and mixing heavy guitars. And about recording them as well. That would be awesome to learn. Thanks.

A personal look at mixing and recording guitars which introduces some interesting and novel ideas that can be incorporated into the home studio.

There are a lot of tips and tricks in this video and I'm sure I'll be dipping into it for years to come. RT doesn't so much teach you how to do something - it's more that he shows you what he does given a certain situation. Personally, I would have preferred to have some basic instruction at the beginning before getting into "case histories", but that's a matter of taste. This is a good lesson.

This is an excellent tutorial and one of the best that I have purchased so far. It gave me new prospective on how I want to record my tube amps that I am building. It also gave me access to some of the other software plugins that I am not currently using and their benefit in the overall mix. An outstanding video by Rich Tozzoli and macProvideo.
