This tutorial is absolutely top of the bill! It will help me fulfill my dreams in music production. The song really sucks, but actually that doesn't matter at all!

Steve is the man when it comes to teaching Logic. At first I was a little skeptical of his humor and his way of speaking, but now after watching 10 hours of Steve´s various tutorials I can say he´s the best at what he does, keeps the topic fresh, and I´m looking forward to watching the rest of the tutorials he´s made here. BTW, Reading Rainbow was an awesome show, Steve.

Great,great great,my mind is still spinning but I'll nail it down. Like all other tutorials I worked with I love it. I catch not only the major subjects, but little things, tricks , ways of using Logic I wouldn´t get on my own.

If you have Logic, you really should watch this tutorial. Though it focuses on Mastering, you can apply a lot of the principles to recording and mixing as well. This is a high quality video, which Steve obviously put a lot of effort into. As always, his teaching style makes it easy to learn the material.

A good overview of a broad range of Logic's plugins. Highly recommended for beginner Logic users. It serves as an excellent demystifying process for all those Logic plugin UIs. It is also a good introduction to EQ and Dynamics in Logic, which is very important.

A solid introduction to the subject. It not only explains the basics in a clear, concise manner, but by using Logic and its tools helps introduce you to aspects of Logic you might not have known.

If you use Logic, this is one tutorial you shouldn't miss. Every chapter is useful, and will improve your productivity. The section on the Transform window and PDC alone make this worthwhile. And, as always, Steve explains everything clearly so you don't miss anything.

Great Tutorial that covers the most important features of ES2 very well. Steve H. is an awesome teacher. What I´d love to see, though, are some more soundbuilding workshops - how Steve creates some more complicated sounds from scratch. And those videos dealing with the sources and targets could be a bit more detailed - covering more of the options available as sources and targets. Nevertheless: 5 stars!

Another great job by Steve H. Not that I'm now a master at Mastering now by any means. But at least I now understand the basics. BTW, great explanation of compressors, limiters, and metering.

Really amazing steve! Love your tutorials, and you show easily what 64bit madness can bring to both our mac pro's and logic. Oh well protools, I guess one day you'll catch up! :)

Steve Horelick is the master. Period. I don´t know anybody else who is able to explain complex stuff so understandable. Great tutorial on a complex topic. Worth every cent.

This gave me a greater understanding and respect of the ES2. It also teaches some pretty important concepts regarding signal flow,modulation routings, oscillators and filters which make this a gem I can watch over and over again.

nice to have logic on 64-bit. But this new version is not as streamlined as it should be. For instance. If you load a movie in logic 64 bit and try to export audio to movie you will see that the export function is gone . Don't know why? And of course, we have to wait till all the plugs from other companies are in 64 bit to feel the real power.

Just dowloaded 9.1 last nite... I did not even know it was the 64 bit version until I watched the videos here on MacProVideo. I have nine gb of ram and decided to test with exs24 sampler. WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Steve H. always present us with great tutorials full of details and on top he even manage to give us some very useful tips on sound design! Steve can be absolutely hilarious, and the way he teaches is pleasant and composed, that sometimes you forget you're learning sophisticated Logic technique. This is a fantastic tutorial.

As a recent convert to the DAW world, my approach as a composer and arranger has mostly been to present projects before they are adequately produced. Good music should be enough, right? But this is the real world. All well and good until you start adding a lot of instruments. Another fantastic tutorial by Steve H. I took the time to read through and try out the examples in the Apple documentation for Logic 9 that's now only available via the web (doh! Apple). Very well made tutorial on basic of mastering and sound engineering. Steve Horelick has a very clear way of explaining the most complicated terms by comparing them with every day life examples. Logic's essential mastering plug-ins are detailed. Very useful tutorial regardless of the type of music you are producing. Great Help!

A very inspiring and helpful tutorial. As a teacher, engineer and musician I´m familiar with most of the issues. But things are so brilliantly explained here, that I become a better teacher: F.ex explaining sample and bit rate, compressor attack settings and much more....... The Multipressor...This is where I often run wild. I could use e few more practical examples, tips and tricks, to get a good result. I´ll most certainly go for more tutorials! JanD

The great thing about Logic is that it caters for those starting out on music production right up to the most sophisticated technicians at the highest end of the industry - like Steve H. Each tutorial in the Logic series provides highly detailed elements of the, in my view, the very best of DAWs. The real beauty is that you can be as simple or as sophisticated as you wish. I would say that Flex Editing is at the higher end of the scale but if you wish to add this aspect of music production...

Steve H is an amazing teacher & master of his craft, he makes complicated procedures & technical explanations simple, this is my definition of genius. I believe if you want to become a master learn from a master. I just found mine. I've seen other mastering courses but none as well done as this one. The new techniques used with flex-time editing are very clearly and logically explained. With all the MacPro videos I use two screens, one with the tutorial and the other with an open work file. The short simple descriptions in each tutorial make it possible quickly to become familiar with new and/or updated function without having to put time aside to study them.

I am a big fan of Steve H. My two favourite things are his appalling humour and his genuine and infectious enthusiasm. Always fun

Mastering was always the mystical phase of producing that I thought I could never touch. But after watching this tutorial I mastered a 6 song demo CD for a coworkers band. These Logic TNT tutorials are very useful and provide lots of tricks that I can go and apply to my already existing projects as well as new ones. Simply put, I am much more able to realise my musical inspiration than I used to be. These techniques give artists alot of creative ammunition.

Steve H, what can I say? I have been to college and paid big bucks to learn more about audio production. I wish I had saved my money and downloaded your tutorials earlier. Steve explains very complicated concepts very carefully in easily digestible language. I absorb the know how very quickly and enjoy the learning process. Well this tutorial was really great, and Informative. I really learned alot, and was like I didn't realize you could do that in Logic. It really does teach you the toolkit of mastering thoroughly. My only complaint was the song "Wheels" was a little annoying after the second time, but you can't please everyone. Good Job steve, and MacProvideo, keep the great tutorials coming, and MACPROVIDEO's tutorials are really the best. This was the first one I actually watched from beginning to end.

I have found all of the tutorials I have used so far to be incredibly useful. the tutorial really got me started. Having a hard time to break loose from ultrabeat and get back to the whole programme!

I'm an old fashioned musician, just listen and hit the keys, even though I've about 30 years experience with computers. So I did not want to take the time to figure out ultrabeat by trial and error. The tutorial was very helpful and made up for what was lacking in Logic manuals and my own instincts. A few questions were left unanswered, but it gave me a great start on what otherwise would have been a much longer learning curve. Worth it for me, will consider other tutorials.

This Video is excellant. It demystified the entire mastering process for me and gave me the full confidence to start applying it to all of my music. There was more information in here then there was in my school for recording engineering.

Three hours of lessons in a classroom,one is liable to forget a lot of stuff. Then one goes home,alone,no teacher arround to fill up the missing gaps that one finds when trying to recall the lessons. Good intro to mastering tools with some concrete examples. Would have like a bit more emphasis on eq'ing mixes, dealing with specific mastering problems (vocals, drum balancing, etc.). Nice to have sample song, but having a couple of other examples of different types of material would help to broaden the learning.

it's a good tutorial perhaps a bit too long in the historical part. It could be a good thing that you keep in mind logic is a huge software needing a precise approach of any feature. For exemple the part of mastering a complete acoustic set without virtual instruments, the way to go from a multitrack arrange to the final stereo or surround bounce is too short (using a multi mic take with phases problemes). I'm totally impressed by the professional quality of teachings I find on your Logic tutorials, amazing! The same with Ableton & GarageBand.The approach is thourough & exhaustive to the point that I didn't find better elsewhere. this is quite a complicated subject but is well illustrated with graphics and aural examples. sometimes though i wish he would give us a little more time to compare before and after the effect before speaking again as changes to the sound can be quite subtle and to the untrained ear it is not always obvious.

I've just gotten through my first look at the Mastering Overview. It has cleared up several concepts and words I did not have a handle on. Very good examples of how things work, conceptually. I will really use this along side finalizing the work I'm doing in Logic. The concepts will be valuable when using Pro Tools, too.

I own every logic training video from macPro and I was concerned that I wouldn't learn much from 401. I was wrong, Steve H did a great job of diving deep into the "how" it's done from the emotional progression of a song to the tools used to polish a mix. As always, macPro delivers value.

Very good instructional overall. That tune got stuck in my head as well. Couple of points though. When A/Bing audio concepts I would leverage the onscreen info more and not chat as much. I have to hype this one up because I feel that it was truly worth of every penny. Everything was done in Logic unlike in some other tutorials and the level of professionalism and pedagogic skills here are of very high standards.

A terrific treatment. I watched it once, then listened to it in the car to reinforce the vast amount of useful info conveyed. The visuals were strong enough to "play" in my memory as I drove. Great job. I would like more of these higher level tutorials for Logic.

EXCELLENT!! Much needed and long overdue treatment of the esoteric subject of mastering. The videos provided a GREAT snapshot of the history of mastering as well as making the topic of bit rates, headroom, etc very easy to understand. A great start for anyone to really understand the art of mastering, as opposed to just slamming a plug-in preset on the mix to make it loud and overcompressed and calling it done! I just can say that the Logic Master Class #1 is really amazing. It covers many aspects og Logic in an easy and comprehensible way. I hardly leave a chapter of the tutorial as I am really interested in every chapter and you just want to know more and more. I highly recommend it

I had a basic understanding of how synths worked prior to purchasing logic but was unsure of the ES2 as there are so many options with it. This tutorial was really helpful to understand the working of the ES2 and also provided more info on synths that I didn't know about. Steve H is brilliant at getting the facts over and he adds a bit of humour to the tutorials which makes the learning fun. Just how it should be...

Put simply, what an amazing tutorial and presented extreamly well by Steve H! I've never really thought about all that was involved in the mastering process before but this tutorial is a real eye opener for me and I think that anyone working with audio would benefit from viewing this, whether you have been in the game for years or hours! I have to say I was looking forward to this release but I have found it disappointing. Potential problems are shown but are not rectified before the tutorial moves on. There is far too much rambling but whereas what i really want to know is how to improve my mastering skills in Logic. A track is being edited, but when it comes to a final mix for instance one has a multitude of audio tracks in the timeline, so, one wonders, even for a preliminary example, why use the one track scenario when it is...

I like a lot the presentation of the mastering overview of more than half an hour, it's a very good idea. I hope to find it also in future tutorials. And as mentioned in the preview, it's not only for Logic users. There are a lot of important and common subjects, it doesn't matter which DAW you use.

When Steve H talks...I listen, and with good reason. macProVideo tutorials always come jammed full of detailed explanations and more importantly reasons why we might want to apply certain technics. Before watching this my approach to mastering was very much trial and error, but now I have a much firmer grasp of the concepts behind mastering and a vastly improved understanding of how to apply compression and EQ to a mix. 1st rate!

Hi. I'm honestly not often compelled to write a review but I had to make an exception for this tutorial. Mastering has always been one of the most difficult stages of finishing for me. This tutorial shows in amazing detail every aspect of the mastering process, including some very informative historical tidbits on audio. I would highly recommend it to anyone mixing or mastering in any of today's DAWS, specially if you're working in Logic 8.

I really liked Ultrabeat Unleashed. It answered nearly all of my questions about Ultrabeat. I am new to drum machines and the tutorial was basic enough to geet me started. As I improve and go back to the tutorial I find it still useful.

Having thoroughly enjoyed TNT1 I was delighted when TNT2 came out - having worked through all the logic modules the TNT series is a must for those looking to gain knowledge that was previously only available to those wanting to spend thousands on personal tuition! Absolutely brilliant (as always!)

I was completely new to synthesizers and the ES2. This is a great intro. I feel very confident about how to use the ES2, and am comfortable with other synthesizers I've encountered since watching this. I highly recommend it if you want to learn some of the hidden functionality of the ES2 or if you just want a primer on synthesizers. FYI, I bought the software oscilloscope (3rd party plug in) used in the lessons & would follow along while watching. It's pretty nice software.

Brilliant videos unleashing this beast! Ultrabeat can be quite a daunting machine if you don't know what you're doing...but these tutorials helped me get the best out this machine...and WOW...what a machine!

These videos are invaluable to get you up and running fast! I really enjoyed the "workflow" type videos to show one how other producers actually use the program, one picks up a lot of tips this way...I know there's a couple of other one's to buy (electronica & R&B) but I'd like to see more from other producers in other styles ie rock, urban etc.

Very useful and entertaining. I find I go back to this tutorial whenever I need to brush up on the Logic plugs. It would have been good to see a full mixing and mastering session tackled using the logic plugs.

Steve does an amazing job of explaining a really complex instrument. I felt a little lost before I saw this video; now I'm just overawed with sonic possibilities.

explains the mysteries of vital audio tools very well to simplify the process and using hands-on real time examples (as all your tutorials) really opens the information up. All of your tutorials lack just one thing; an index. Sometimes I get to a point and think, "ahh, thats in a tutorial somewhere" I then waste all the time your tutorials save me in Logic looking for a small piece of info, how to close something or similary stupid! Seems a bit old this one so it won't make a 5!

really enjoyed the videos. Found them very helpful and although some may find the "first principles" approach unhelpful, for me it gave me a ggod place to start with the plug ins, most of which i have already been using for about a year. One irritation however was the use of the logic 7 style of plug in. I am using logic pro 8 and the styling is quite different, particularly the multipressor (which was the plug-in upon which my purchase was aimed). Thank you

I switched from Cubase on windows to Logic on mac, and I was dragging my feet. The Steve H class broke the ice and got things moving for me. When Steve H lowers his voice he sounds like a golf commentator on TV: "If Tiger Woods makes this put..." or "With the extended parameters..." This is not a negative. It just cracks me up.

A must learn.... if you believe you know all the possibility of Ultrabeat and your like me you are way out this is a must have for this complex plugin. It could do a lot more that you think...

Once more another fine guide on how te use this (in my opinion) complex drumsynth. It might benefit form soem more sounshaping examples. But overal a great Ultrabeat user guide that finally made learn how to unleash this beast ! There's more to Ultrabeat then one would think at first sight. This tutorial brings this to the surface.

The way the video is produced is fantastic everything to my knowledge is explained throughly enough that I can start producting my own sounds in a quick and timly fashion.

The tutorial was an eye opener. I knew Logic was a great app but the small things (should say huge) that I have learned in the tutorial has already influenced my creativity especially on the transform window great job Steve and Macprovideo

At times I felt like I wasn't getting much out of it but with a tutorial like this, it is as much a tutorial as it is advanced review. There were probably 10 or 12 expert tips that I implemented into my Logic setup right away. Everything else worked to reinforce but never bore. I'm definitely an advanced user and I learned brand new things, bottom line.

Ultrabeat is not easy. It's well explained. I would like to hear and see more good sounding examples of what ultrabeat can really do. More end result examples.

As a logic newbie these videos hlp me out ALOT , and this video REALLY helped me out. The beat mapping alone is worth the price alone , I was having big problems trying to sync my live guitar playing with some beats I made in ultrabeat and the beatmapping was my golden ticket. On a side note Steve throws some dry humor in ..sometimes good sometimes bad.

I really love all the stuff you do and I'm always learning new stuff. The strip silence & event editor trick is just golden. This stuff goes deeper, but makes my work flow faster. I realise all this stuff is in Logic, but I would never be able to find it and understand it except in a visual way.

Great vids, as someone who is rubbish at learning by reading....these are great. My only niggle is that i wish more of them were relevant to recording real music, i.e not all samples etc. Just my little niggle as i only mic up real instruments to record. Thanks guys.

I am still working with this tutorial but so far have found it to be very informative. Steve H really explains things slowly and in detail. I feel I am doing things immediately that may have taken months to figure out myself. Worth every penny.

I have not yet completed this tutorial but so far it is excellent. After Martin Sitter's 101 tutorial I couldn't wait to keep going so I downloaded 201. I wasn't aware of grid mapping and it completely blew my mind. As a musician I prefer to play musically as opposed to real time (a metronome) which makes recording midi very difficult or at least it use to. I love that I don't have to compromise the sound of my recordings in order to add midi instruments. Steve H really takes his time to explain...

Excellent tutorial of Logic's plug-ins. Steve H as usual provides great detail about the various plug-ins and their functionality. Would be great to have an updated version for Logic 8 that includes some plug-ins not covered and maybe more on plug-ins used during mastering. Those are both nice to haves and at the end of the day, this tutorial provided me a plethora of useful information.

Very deep I love it. It gets down to really knowing this program the more I buy these videos the more questions I get answered.

Sculpture looks, and is, complicated. A very daunting synth. But Steve shows you how to go about using it effectively. I particularly liked the instrument workshops and I think the morphing is a great tool. I doubt the manual (I'll read one day, I promise) would make this as understandable as a video tutorial.

Steve H. does a good job covering all the features of Ultrabeat. However, I wish there some more examples of creating sounds from start to finish in the synth section.

Very good tutorial, that contains a lot of info as a prerequisite to using soft synths. It could use a little updating, but still informative nonetheless.

Steve H. knows his schizzle. He took a Logic plug-in that was totally foreign to me and made me a near expert (okay not quite, but pretty close).

Another great training video. Steve does a great job as usual. Ultrabeat looks pretty complicated but watching an expert use it is heaps better than a manual (I will read it one day. Promise). Re: the Modulators. It's a pity Apple didn't include the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator. It would have been nice to be able to make a sound of the earth being blown up.

I've had trouble getting my brain wrapped around this tool, there seems to be so much here. Steve is an excellent teacher and is breaks this tool down into manageable pieces. The progression through each chapter is a logical progression through building simple instruments to features you'd never expect to seen in a software instrument.

Excellent tutorial. I especially found the hidden modulations such as the wavetable sweeping very helpful. Also the real world application of the Random function was very useful. That's exactly what I was looking for!!

I liked this tutorial. However, I really wish some of the more advanced functions were thoroughly demonstrated tho. Specifically, demonstrations of effective use of modulators and vias. Also effective use of different Edit sequences. Although this covered every function, it could've used many more real world applications of the advanced functions.

I agree with the reviews. This an excellent tutorial. It will be very useful to me. The Beat Mapping will be handy and I hadn't considered using Regions but it's obviously the way to go. How to deal with Latency and Qflam was great. I've always hated how Midi guitar never sounds real. Now I know how to improve it.

So far,I've watched this tutorial section-wise, not straight through, and I can thoroughly recommend it for clarity of presentation. It's showed me with simplicity, how I can also work with simplicity ! Steve's humorous comments are also much appreciated.

Absolutely essential! I came to Logic with 25 years experience writing and recording music - and had used ProTools since the early 90's. None of that prepared me for the huge leap to Logic. My advice: Save yourself a lot of trouble from the start and get these videos. After getting the Logic videos I decided to check out Martin's other tutorials for applications I thought I had a good grasp of. In every case I've learned tons; hidden tricks, better ways of working.

I found Logic to be very intimidating when I got it. The MacProVideos were just what I needed. "Logic 201" was incredibly clear in explaining beatmapping and some of the advanced types of edits that can be done. Keep it up, guys!

I've been using Pro Tools 50 - 60 hours a week for 9 years. Before that the AMS Audiophile. Before that The Synclavier D to D system. Your videos have helped me get over the hump in learning Logic. Steve H's 201 was the best one yet, with many example I put directly to use on a project I did completely in Logic. I wish there was more information about editing audio, such as you'd use doing post production. I know that's not Logic's strong point, so I'd be interested in that area. It may already ...

This video contains so many valuable tips and hints I was scribbling notes constantly while watching. My only suggestion would be to perhaps extend the section on equalization with more examples of how sounds can be tweaked for different mixes. This said, I found precisely that content in the "Mixing R&B" and "Mixing electronica" videos, which tie together a lot of the theory from the other videos. This is a great way to learn. Thank you!

I have been watching tutorial after tutorial and I can't stop (although my brain is numb by now). Steve and Martin created these brilliant, simple to understand and follow, and useful tutorials that I would advise anyone who doesn't want to waste his time learning "on the job" to first watch these and take notes. I am constantly in awe of what is achievable using Logic even the bits I'm never going to use and always enjoy Steve H's delivery. The 'internets' vocoding lesson is a classic! The only problem is that I don't have enough time to sit and make music all day.

Before I bought Logic I watched the demo version of this tutorial and found it fascinating! I couldn't wait to get it and try it out. Unfortunately the demo didn't show much but I was interested enough to buy the tutorial and find out more about this plug-in. I was not disappointed! Amazing tutorial! I used to skip over the ES2 and go straight for the ES1 because there were just too many knobs, faders, and parameters to get a grasp of everything. I couldn't even figure out how to mix the oscillators -- the ES2's default preset has the mixing triangle controlled by the vectors. But now I even understand what I just said =) Steve's done a great job breaking down EVERY SINGLE option on the ES2. Another great tutorial video from MacProVideo.com. Ultrabeat is a pretty challenging instrument to tackle for a novice to Logic Pro. This video explained it clearly. I was diving into Ultrabeat and getting more out of it - and much more quickly - than I would have pouring over the manual. Would like to have heard more from Igor - otherwise - great tutorial.

Like the tutorial, like I actually always do. It's easy, he really takes time to explain things. Maybe the only thing missing is a quick recap of the most important subjects, at the end of the tutorial. Ofcourse, you can always look back when the tutorial is finished, but a quick overview would be the perfect ending. This way all subjects really stick into the mind. I tend to forget a lot, because there are so many chapters... But that's just an idea... Keep it up guys!

Its good,but I haven finished yet,but at first I did not the ultrabeat at all because I did not like the sounds in it.But started diging into the sloftware and began to make it work.Now when I use logic I use ultrabeat only,now that understand it more.Iam still into tutorialand. When can put your drums into the software its . Can you delete all the drums to build a new set?

I've been a Logic user for about 5 years. I use it in my job everyday. I mostly taught myself so I'm always interested in learning new things about Logic to help my work flow and open up creative flow. I've watched all the Logic training videos, including the TNT series, and I wasn't sure whether the depth of content in this series would differentiate it from the other tutorials. I needn't have worried. This Master Class video lives up to its name. Steve covers a lot of fresh material and makes the difficult easy to understand in his inimitable style. It's all good, but PDC, the Transform window, and Beat Mapping alone make it worth it. Highly recommended.

The video tutorial has taught me more in 2 days about Ultrabeat than 6 months with the Logic manual. This is the best way to learn, by WATCHING an expert. You cannot get this from a book. The video is broken down into easy to follow and comprehensive sections and is presented with passion. I like this so much that I'm going to buy all the Logic videos. I've packed the Logic manuals away.

I received my degree in Production and Engineering from Berklee 20 years ago and every single day I'm still learning something new about this amazing craft! Thank you for an excellent product.

A great video showing the ins and outs of ultrabeat. I never knew the flexibility of this instrument. For me, the audio was very low. I had to crank up the volume to hear the voices and sounds that were being tweeked. Some aspects were a little too technical for me since I am not too keen on oscillators and modulators. Overall a great video. I am now more comfortable using this instrument as opposed to being scared to even want to take the time to try it.

I bought this vid and I think it's worth every penny. The three main features that make me say this are the beat mapping - so cool, the PDC stuff (eye opening) and the transform window tutorials. You just don't get this kind of information from the manuals and it just saves you sooo much time it's unbelievable. Steve is great at getting his point across in a humorous way. Highly recommended.

Everything that I have bought from Mac pro video has been,simply put.The best.Unlike most "know it all" videos that subject you to "listening to crappy music in there examples while they attempt to "teach" you something, mac pro offers a very well thought out method with great instructors.Unless you an idiot with less that a thimble full of brains,you will gain plenty of info from anything you guys have done. It would be nice to have some form of index system though.Sometimes when i forget some...

This training video is great. I want to use Logic in a RocknRoll context so acoustic drum editing is a plus. The only bummer is the drum tracks were slim. No toms. No overheads. These are the tough elements to edit. I avoid editing drums as much as possible but sometimes you gotta.

Switching to Mac & Logic pro 8 (From PC & Logic 5.5) was a difficult decision. Mainly because I don't have the time for a long learning curve. Your tutorials helped me a lot especially Logic 303 . This was a very good tutorial. Steve Horelick did a very good job of breaking down a very complex instrument and keeping things digestible while not being patronizing. His friendly and humourous approach helped a great deal. I found I was much less intimidated by the ES 2 after watching his tutorial, and I felt much more in control. Perhaps the only criticism I would offer is that perhaps some more time spent on characterizing some of the sounds that individual waves or combinations of waves ...

Occasionally I find it interesting but the depth is in general kind of lacking. I guess I realize that this isn't intended to be in depth overall for the program, but the content is often not terribly applicable to my project work. Production quality and delivery software is excellent though.

I'm using LE8 and i downloaded this learning video unaware that Logic Express 8 does not have sculpture. I emailed the macprovideo team and they sorted out the problem quickly. They gave me the ES2 which is great. Great customer service

The ES2 is a brillant learning video, if your like me and are new too software music production these videos are a must. I've watched logic starter and ultrabeat also and the information they give you is priceless. It takes the frustration out of learning

What can I say if you own logic, any logic program and don't have this. Well you have just put your self as a user behind the eight ball. You must have this I mean YOU MUST HAVE THIS. No one person can know everthing, you won't even relize what you don't know untill you watch these tips and tricks.

The tutorials in this series on ES2 move through this synth app in a well-ordered and sensible progression. But the ES2 is a complicated beast - and I found that its complexities outweigh its capabilities. Kudos to the folks at MacProVideo for creating a great library of videos. I am using the one on Mixing Electronica, and that one is great. I am really loving Logic Express 8, and this collection seems to be a great way to get up to speed.

Like watching a good film, you don't want this to end. At first I was put off this instrument because of its seemingly complicated interface. After watching the tutorial it is one of my favourite synths in Logic. Keep up the good work!

Love MacProVideo! Logic 303 TNT is very informative. You get to learn like it says "Tricks and Tips". These videos are very well structured and even dive into very advance features. What I like most about Logic 303 TNT is that it is a subscription and will continue to grow on a monthly basis. To me this is well worth the $50.

This is a highly complex and deep synthesizer and without this traing video i can honestly say i wouldn't have gone near it, beyond just the presets. My loss. This is a great tutorial. Steve gives a comprehensive overview of Scuplture's capabilities, as well as a couple little tricks he's got hidden up his sleeve. The "Instrument Workshop" sections, where we are guided through the process of creating a Sculpture instrument from start to finish, is especially useful. Steve Rocks!

I have purchased several of your training videos - mainly for Logic and Reason. As a hobbyist these videos are well-organized, concise and enjoyable. If I were to offer one suggestion that would be to include more "live audio" beyond just vocals. Real guitars, drums, brass, etc. would lend itself to more interesting examples and mixes. Maybe I'm a bit old school but I'm not a big "looper" sort of musician. My 2 cents. Thank you!

I wasn't sure if i would gain anything from this tutorial. How wrong i was. Once i saw Steve get those digi waveforms morphing, i realised that this was one amazing synth. After watching this i no longer am tweaking and guessing, i know exactly how to get the sounds i want. Brilliant.

Absolutely outstanding resource! I learned more in one hour with these videos than I ever could have imagined. Ultrabeat is an amazing drum machine AND synth. Steve is a great teacher, very articulate and accessible. MacPro you've done it again, I'm becoming an true N.E.D Junkie ! Thank You!!

There were some plugs not featured here, but for the most part this video was very imformative. I will give it a four because I found the voicing was a little too mellow at times and I had to rewind alot when I was soothed to sleep...lol. Get all the plugs and step up the tone a bit...and its 5 territory!

Makes programming with Sculpture far more understandable. What was once an absolutely baffling interface now seems very approachable. Would recommend for anyone that desires the plethora of sounds Sculpture allows you to create.

Great for beginners and advanced users! Would highly recommend anyone who wants to take their UB programming to a whole new level to watch this vid. Plan on watching again very soon!

the lessons are of a digestible length and move at good pace. the welcome screen is well set out and it easy to search for specific topics.

Sculpture is without a doubt a deep synth and this tutorial provides a excellent insight into how each component works and how they interact. Steve provides a clear understanding of the workflow of building an instrument in the two workshops and at each stage of the tutorial encourages experimentation. This is a highly valuable tutorial worth every penny.

After purchasing tips and tricks 303, i realized users who are using the logic software to generate electronic music, will benefit most from its information. I tend to work with live sounds(rock bands), however, this tutorial proved invaluable in its ability to streamline my workflow. Logic has such a huge universe of possibilities, its a real help to have A SHERPA whose been to the top bottom and all sides between,this i feel makes it well worth the price.

Excellent job! Great exploration of an awesome synth. I think every Logic Pro user must have this, especially a dance music producer can benefit a lot from it! You can make a killer sound bank from ES2 after all these synth programming technics. More "expose" please?

Ultrabeat is only "Ultra" after you watch this tutorial set. There are a lot of hidden tips and tricks that are uncovered in this set of videos. I was only getting about 10% of the potential of Ultrabeat until I watched these.

Excellent. I'm along time DP user and before that a Bars & Pipes Professional user. (Amiga platform) I am use to DAWS and MIDI sequencing etc. I can figure out how to load tracks etc. from the manual "Tips & Tricks is perfect for me.

Very clear and direct. Really helpful in explaining some of the user interface options that are easy to overlook. It's worth the price just for the "How To Use The Match EQ" video alone! I look forward to an update for Logic 8. Thanks!

An excellent introduction to Sculpture. But I felt that it should have had more actual sound design in it.

ive found all of your tutorials to be very user friendly and informative. having a live one on one walk through with ultrabeat was beneficial in a way that other tutorials ive read were not. to anyone that needs the basics on drum sequencing in logic, this tutorial will have you up and running in no time...

I really found tutarials very easy to use and extreamly educating .Bill Burgess and martiin sitter are very professional and good teachers I would like to see Tutarial on How to use loops ,trimming and making songs entire video.... Thank you

My only complaint is that it didn't cover Logic 8. Aside from that it was a very good tutorial. I specifically like the added information - not only the basics of how the plugins work, but how they are used and tips and scenarios for using them in production.

This is a good tutorial, but I have to be honest - I wish more had been covered. There is a lot of information in relation to how pink (and white) noise are affected, and this is very good information presented in Steve's inimitable way making things clear to see and easy to understand, but it would have been much better had it also contained examples of practical applications of the same concepts. Some practical applications are given later in the tutorial - I wish it had been so from the beg...

The Tips & Tricks tutorial is an original way to learn Logic: I like the way, once a month, I get a new tutorial on a topic I might never have thought of. It's like a nice monthly surprise that forces me to think outside the box. I recommend it highly to advanced users

Delivered in the trademark, enthusiastic and comedy stylings of Steve H, (and of course, Egor) you can't fail to be drawn in by the massive amount of sound sculpting and down right outrageous tweaking possibilities this synth has to offer. I really enjoy this series of tutorials. I like the fact that they are released in installments and i look forward to them. Not every month is relevant to the way i work, but i'm happy with that, You never know when something i skim over now becomes the tip i need in the future. And some months are right up my alley in terms of how i work. Great little series
