The tutorial ist very good. It is unmistakedly clear and also concise. I have been teaching for 30 years and believe me, what you delivered is quality teaching. I need to know more about Safari, Mail and @.

I feel this training will probably be used by a lot of people either new to computers or switchers from Windows. As such I felt the author over emphasized the possibility of someone gaining unauthorized access to their Mac. These kind of warnings belongs in the Security section of training but not in as many places as he put them. His over emphasis might lead to the feeling that the Mac is not as safe as it is. If he updates the training I hope he puts these warnings in the proper location of the training. I feel it was very good training but definitely needs to be updated to reflect the more recent releases of OS X.

first rate tutorial, I have learnt things I never ever knew, would have liked more details on system preferences. all in all, a great little tutorial for the money, I have replayed it twice now and will no doubt continue to do so. Thanks again for a really great service. John Cross

As you can see, these videos mean a lot, as they teach me many things I did know, even if your videos are not as current as the programs I am currently using. This video tutorial was kind of hit and miss for me. I have only had my mac for three months, having always been a PC Windows user. I found certain segments of the video did not take into account updates to OS X made since this tutorial was made. Even though there was helpful knowledge to be had, some of the topics covered left me a little confused as to their relevance for me the new user. I was left with many unanswered questions like, "I used to do this in Windows, so how do I do it in OSX...?" I was a little disappointed.

Once again I'm thrilled with the quality of your training programs. This instructor was excellent! I'm learning, learning, learning. I hope that you will have more of the standard "basic" courses for those of us who just need to get through the day with our computers.

Found the tutorial quite useful but it did not deal with a few issues as clearly as I would have liked. E.G. Burning iPhotos to a disc is not covered and as that is what I believe to be a basic function I expected it to be covered. As a "non expert" I found the tutorial to be clear enough but I have found it necessary to replay some sections several times before I got the point.

I am a long time user of Mac OSX but there is always more to learn. I found the tutorial to be pretty comprehensive and gave me some good clues on how to be more efficient in harnessing the many powers of OSX.

I was very pleased with this training, which I completed last evening. I ran the course on a Dual 1.8 Power PC G5 with 4GB RAM and an ATI X800 XT Graphics card powering a 23 in. Cinema Display. (OS X 10.4.11) First, the video and sound quality throughout the course was excellent. The NED interface was very intuitive and made navigation playing, pausing and re-playing lessons easy. In addition to the more formal content, I was pleased with the many helpful tips and short cuts that seemed to be interspersed throughout the lessons. Although I have been using 10.4 for quite some time, I felt there were numerous items which I had missed and was looking for a way to fill in gaps that existed in my OS X knowledge. It was particularly useful to have so many well documented short lessons rather than longer lessons which can be more difficult. The short duration of the lessons was also helpful since it encouraged me to take some training even when I only had a small amount of time available. I found the content to be excellent. The lessons were short enough that it never hurt to review areas with which I was already familiar. I also learned some new things and different (and sometimes easier) ways to perform actions that I already knew how to do. I am sure there are specifics about OS X that were not included in the training, but I didn't expect the course to be all-inclusive. As far as suggestions for additional content, I can only think of emphasizing the importance of backing up files that are present on one of your hard drives and how to best use OS X to accomplish that task. Other possible additions: More about Apple's built in Security features Mention of the many programs which come with a Mac and where one can learn more about them. I especially enjoyed the coverage of Spotlight and Expose'. I'm looking forward to taking more training from macProVideo. Please keep up the good work.

Great tutorial! Even though I get around OSX well, and have for a few years, this was well worth the time to refresh my memory on a number of things, and to show me various little tricks and features that I hadn't realized were there.

I use mac since a few years now , just doing couple of easy things , but there were lots of things i didn't know and understand better what i'm doing and where. maybe a couple of thing could have been added , like "sos disk " with disk utility... also stuff about Qmaster, Qadministrator , automator (i don't understand what it is for ...), how to compress file ,and most of all , how to work with multiple mac togheter maybe in a next tuto ? very nice

Well done ,what it covers it covers well. More subjects could be covered to aid novices in MAC like myself.

Training videos are very good, easy to understand, friendly, short lessons. Glad I purchased it, better than I expected. One thing I have noticed, I have a Mac OSX 10.5.4 and a couple of the things described and illustrated on the video do not respond the same way on my Mac. One is the spotlight window, the window you demonstrate on your Mac when you hit "option+apple+spacebar" has more features than what comes up on my Mac. There are a couple other things that do not respond the same way as they do in your demo, and it can be a little frustrating to figure out how to do it correctly on my Mac.

Excellent learning tool for me ...a newbie to computers. The tutorials are clear and concise with pertinent information. I like the fact that they are very short in duration. I had some difficulty viewing my lessons at first. Evan (in Support) was most helpful in getting me on track. Evan was patient and unbelievably quick in getting back to me with suggestions to get me going. All in all...this is an outstanding program and I would recommend it to anyone new to MAC. The price is just right.

The tutorial itself has been made very professional and covers all the fields of interest though the procedure from purchase to download, opening and playing needs some revision if you want to sell Tutorials worldwide. Due to the timelag with Europa it´s a hassel to send e-mail-enquirys about problems of rendering.

It has been helpful but since I don,t have Leopard some of the instructions cannot be applied with the model I own. I would like more specific help such as " click here" or "press such and such" Perhas it is because I,m still a novice and haven,t learned all tthe technical language.

Even if one is familiar with the Mac. platform, the hidden intricacies are worth it. Thanx again guys for another job well done R

A good tutorial if you are starting with Mac and even if you have a certain level to remember how a Mac works :-) I hope there will be more tutorial talking about Mail, Safari, Ichat and I tunes,.. that could be cool Martin! And you could add how to put an icon on a file into the desktop to personnalize your mac.. But this tutorial is really cool and you are very understandable (I am French..) so thanks man!

Fantastic learning video - I was new to Mac -- It wasn't hard to switch, however it wasn't easy either. I struggled with some basic pc to Mac functions-- left on my own it took to long to figure out advanced functions, this video really helped maximize my Mac. I totally recommend this video -- MacProvideo to the rescue -- way better than reading a book

I find the tutorial very good and useful. I would like however that the pace be slower. This particularly with regard to the activity monitor section.

Little chance to work with your materials because of troubles with drivers etc installing Leopard, but I do like the way you do business and your whole attitude :-)

super! as all the videos from martin. i'm now much much confident with my computer and my daily workflow is increased dramatically. i love everything covered in it, wish to have owned it from the beginning of owning my mac. just some suggestions for further topics i think may be valuable. internet session, like how to set it up in different circumstances(i have problem of using it when i travel to some other countries); how to deal with downloaded files...it will be a great thing if the tutorial could be expended in the future. thank you so much!

Overall, I found some very useful information. Although I wish you could include ways to keep your Mac in good shape, including ways one can make back-ups. I know this might include recommending third-party software, but I guess one always wants to know and maintain the general health of his or her computer.

Excellent, thorough but ... Some voice training for your presenter would help - he speaks too fast at times, he slurs words. You are competing with professional announcers. Also there is no introduction to the keyboard. No one does this. I used this tutorial for a friend who moved over from a PC and realized that he had never known the logic of the keyboard layout. What is an enter key? Why is there a return key? What is an escape key? He was thrilled when he learned how to tab. "You mean you can use the number keys on the right as a calculator? Nobody ever told me that!" Function keys thrilled him. !!! Don't assume! Explain!!!

This tutorial was a welcome addition to my training arsenal. I help a lot of new and seasoned mac users get the most out of their computers. Although osX is "easy" it still can be overbearing learning it on your own or from a book. I found this training video to be excellent in helping you understand the basics AND for going beyond them. My only criticism of the course is the author's excessive discussion of the Activity Monitor. True it's important to know this utility, but I personally feel that for most mac users, this utility isn't of great importance in their daily useage and too much of the tutorial's time was spent on it. I would have shifted it towards the end of the tutorial and used half of it's lesson time on a more important topic. Other than that small quibble, I have no complaints and have recommended this course to all my friends, family and clients.

Thank you, Martin. I found this tutorial to be very thorough and to the point. As an OS X user of about 4 years, I still got allot out of this module. The new features of Tiger are covered in detail and I particularly enjoyed the spotlight coverage, and of course, I now have a PhD in widgets. :-) The sections on creating disk images and burning onto optical media were also very welcome. I now feel much more at home with this stuff. I would recommend this tutorial for anybody who is new to OS X, and also for those who just want to brush up on their understanding and get a good general overview on things. Thanks again.

Thanks for a great tutorial, on the OS X. This is the best system tutorial I've seen to date! The simplicty used by the author makes it very easy to learn, worthing every spent penny on it. I'm a Mac user for ten years and I've learned from it! I've also dig N.E.D. a lot, it's a very intuitive interface.
