An Amazing and informative easy to understand course, I just started learning FCX program and I saw the basic tutorial and now this one an I can tell you.. I am off shooting my video for my band!

Very nice course...

Really in depth tutorials as usual, however, in this particular module, most of the tutorials get "cut off" near the end ... either they stop in mid sentence, or they stop abruptly, making you wonder if you've missed something. After watching all of them, I don't believe you are missing anything, but this could be fixed for an overall better experience.

The topic is covered well and will give you a head start with the subject matter. I would like to have seen more concrete relevant examples, especially in this section of the tutorial. Rather than showing what this tool does, maybe showing the end result of a compositing technique and then going through a process where a variety of tools are being used. Otherwise it is a good introduction for the topic.

I have tried several Final Cut Pro X training series. This one is the best. Michael Wohl is an excellent teacher. He does not narrate the contents (as many others) but really teaches it. Very interesting and entertaining to watch. Easy to comprehend. Subject matter sticks with me after taking a course. This course deserves 5 stars.

The topic is well covered. The presentation is engaging. The rate at which the details are covered is a little too fast. I appreciate that there is a lot to cover yet it would be easier on me if some of it did not zip by at a rapid pace

After watching these very intuitive tutorials it is clear that this editing system is going to improve the speed of editing allowing for a more creative end product. Michael Wohl is very good and obviously passionate! Here is my quick take on FCPX after viewing all of these tutorials... First, if you own a Mac it would be senseless for anyone not to buy FCPX at this price! There is no better editor under $500 bucks! Period. Optimize your system to its most powerful state and use fast external drives with Fire Wire 800 for storing your video. Ram is so much cheaper than it used to be so max out if you can. 4gb is minimum but if you can go up to 8gb...do it!!! While FCPX is very fast, time is lost on adjusting(zooming) timelines so you can see things and dual screen use here is extremely missed along with the lack of customizing screen layouts. Once you open up a specific inspector box to make adjustments, and come back to it later you have to re-open them...more time lost. What this program is at this stage, and should be fairly called if FCPX Beta. It is very much so a work in progress and I hope that the basic "Pro" features like screen layout control among some other features are soon restored. In the meantime the beauty of this editor is apparent! And with the companion of Macprovideo's Tutorials at subscription rates of 20 bucks a month, learning how to use FCPX will be a snap!!!

Final Cut Pro X seems to be a mixed bag as far as effects are concerned. I was disappointed with the speed ramps and slow mo effects, the "corrections" to these parameters seem a bit lame! Michael Wohl presents this video well, as always and makes clear FCPX's shortcomings. I was happy with Mr. Wohl's explanations of chroma keying in the program which he demonstrates clearly and found some of FCPX's extra tools an interesting discovery! All in all this is a great tutorial. Honest in it's criticisms of FCPX and rejoices the better attributes of the software. I still feel miffed as to why Apple would want to slim down processes that worked really well in FCP7 such as it's speed effects and some key-framing such as animating blur.

I now have three tutorials in this series and I was waiting in particular for Titles, Effects and Compositing in order to finally make up my mind about investing in Final Cut Pro X. Having watched this episode into the wee small hours I am now convinced that FCPX is worth the investment. The programme has many hidden depths and should not be regarded as iMovie Pro. It is way, way more sophisticated. It is remarkably fast and will speed up highly professional video editing to another level. Michael Wohl makes it very clear from the outset that you have to be prepared to forget everything you have learned in Final Cut Studio and approach FCPX with an open mind. His warm and engaging style of tuition is highly professional and encourages experimentation accompanied with a light and, at the same time, deep insights and knowledge. I would highly recommend anyone to buy these tutorials first if you are at all wary of buying FCPX or been put off by premature negative reviews of the new programme. Of course, there are missing elements, but Apple has already promised frequent updates which will undoubtedly enhance FCPX well beyond Studio. Michael is to be congratulated on his obvious enthusiasm for the product and it is infectious. In general, I have invested in many MacProVideo products and I have yet to be diappointed.
