Capture & edit video, then share your films on YouTube! This tutorial shows you how ...
You've got an idea, and you want to put it on YouTube. iMovie comes with your Mac, and it's the perfect tool for the job!
These days, all digital still cameras can also take video. HD video cameras are so small, you can fit them in your pocket! The video age has arrived, and you are part of it. Once you know a few tricks, editing video is easy.
This tutorial starts with a comprehensive overview of how to capture video and prepare it for editing. You'll learn how to capture video from still cameras, DV & HD camcorders, and also solid-state cameras like the new generation of Memory Stick Camcorders.
Next comes a detailed exploration of the video editing process. Editing clips, adding transitions, and text effects like scrolling credit sequences are all clearly explained.
All professional video producers know audio tells a big part of any video story ... this tutorial contains a big section on how to work with audio in your productions. You'll learn how to add background music, record voice overs, and "duck" background music to provide more space for spoken words in the mix.
When your video is finished, it's time to share it with the world. Towards the end of this tutorial you'll learn how to publish your video on the internet using iWeb and .Mac. But best of all, there's a full section on publishing your video to YouTube ... see and hear the process by watching these videos!
This is a comprehensive tutorial, but you don't need to watch it all. Use the search functions and detailed menus to quickly find important topics - that's the essence of Nonlinear Educating using N.E.D.!

Just a rapid view for now but it seems very well done and useful
The tutorial has been really helpful! I have a lot of respect for the tutor; however, I had a little difficulty understanding him at times. His accent would, on occasion, cause me to review the section several times to get his meaning. Still, he has a good grasp of the material and I'm pleased with the turorial. These same comments are applicable to the iWeb turorial, as well.
I can say that it is the best tutorial that I ever followed. It is clear, well illustrated. The modules covers one subject at a time and can be followed at different periods. The voice of the presenter is warm, calm, confident. The only complain, it is finishing quite abruply. It does not cover ( unless the download did not pick it up) how to finish the video, take away what is not chosen safely. I would encourage anybody that want to work with imovie 8 to buy this tutorial that is far better than any book on the subject even the one of David Pogue.( the missing manual).
First of all, there are 117 individual videos within this tutorial, and I'm on video #40, and I already feel like I have gotten my moneys worth! Francesco CLEARLY explains things in very easy, understandable, and non-complex language, which makes it very easy for a beginner like myself to put things together:) I mean, come on, look at the price! They could easily charge double for this tutorial! It's awesome!!!! Thanks Francesco:) Thanks macProVideo riftmazefee
I liked a lot. Very simple to understand and the trainer go step by step. I would recommended to anybody.
Great way to understand how to use iMovie08 and to know the limitations of what is available in this software product.
This is the 5th tutorial I have purchased, and as usual it is fantastic! The iMovie 08 covers the basics in an easy to follow methodology, and leaves the user with a solid foundation in terms of being able to use the application. Well done.
the tutorial was very good and helped me understnd all the new features in iMovie 08'
I have bought and used apps for many years. Some like iMovie 08 have a lot of detail. This tutorial is by far the best I have ever used. I will buy MacProVideos again.
I thought this tutorial was simply ... great. I went from rank beginner to being able to create my own photo slideshow in about one hour. And that includes adding a title, music, and transitions. And what I really love is being able to view only the lessons that are of current interest. Kudos to Francesco!
Wonderful product!!! Keep doing what you do!!!
Nice overview of Imovie. Learned a lot already. now I'm waiting for a IWEB and IDVD 08 video :-) (at the same great price ;-))
I'm not really an iMovie user. To be honest, i bought this Tutorial cause it was cheap as hell, because i have a whole bunch of your Tutorials that i really love, and because i knew that when the time came that i WANTED to use iMovie, i'd find everything i need to know in the Tutorial. I've watched it all and Francesco is a REALLY engaging Tutor. Enjoyed it a lot
