Downloaded N.E.D, got iMovie 09. started watching and learning the tutorials. Wow!! Who can do better?? Really good product, any doubters?? don't be afraid you'lllove this course. Keep up the good work...... PS: was not paid to say this..ha ha!! Gerald
Definitely worth the cost. I would recommend anyone who is enthusiastic about imovie to do the tutorial before they even try to use imove. It all makes sense.
Very thorough, clearly explains all the important functions. The examples are great. Worth every penny.
5 stars are well deserved. Get it and you will be extremely happy with this video on a great program
Very thorough, accessible, and engaging. I really gained a new understanding of iMovie '09 that made me excited to get to work. I watched it all the way through, but it's broken up into individual videos that make it easy to refer back to on an as-needed basis.
I’d never before used any version of iMovie, so when a project came up that compelled me to seek some training I did a web search. MacProVideo.com came up, among others, and after exploring all of my search results I went with this course. I’m very, very pleased that I did. The value for price was good and the video tutorials themselves perfect for my needs. I indeed to revisit various segments from time to time as I hone my skills. And I’ll probably go to take a few other video lessons as time permits. No complaints!
Found the tutorials very informative. I find that the short videos are easy to absorb, precise and to the point. Would highly reccomend.
Overall good tutorial, just some unnecessary repetitions could be avoided. Importing from camera, isight and so on could have been one lesson with just the differences explained.
iMovie 09 101 is excellant in all respects, particularly in providing "older generations" with easy to follow navigation through what is quite a complex piece of software. I did encounter initial problems with downloading, however the on-line support team were fantastic
EXCELLENT!!!!! Very helpful and easy to follow. Good examples.
Guys! Looks like I wasted my dollars ordering a tutorial book on iMovie'09 and Aperture 2.0 as your Tutorials could never be matched in a book. I seemed to be getting nowhere with my iMovie as I am used to the time-line type format. Now,at last, thanks entirely to your TUTs I am making good progress. Same for Aperture I guess as I was having trouble with how to use folders etc correctly. Thanks heaps
Once again, these folks have come through with an outstanding set of tutorials that make learning easy and enjoyable. Step by step learning guides for iMovie bring expertise within reach for us "normal" people.
It's as if you were looking over the shoulder of Francesco Schivon at his iMovie '09 project while he demonstrates how to import, sort, edit, trim, arrange, add transitions, commentary, sound effects, and finally burn to iDVD. These techniques -and lots more- are explained over 133 individual and easily accessible educational episodes. Wonderful !
I selected iMovie '09 101 Core iMovie '09 to improve my capability with iMovie. I was having some problems with iMovie '08 and after reviewing MacProVideo iMovie '09 101 I upgraded to iMovie '09 ( iLife '09) and have been very happy with the results.
The tutorial is great - as a long time iMovie user, I am especially pleased with the ability to go directly to a topic to get a quick reminder of how a particular but not often used iMovie function works. Only negative is that NED is unstable, glitchy and downloads are sometimes incomplete, even when finished. Otherwise, you would get a rating of 5 from me.
Thanks for this great video tutorial. It was exactely (and more) what I was looking for. I now have re-streamlined my video edit process (between iM09 and FCP) completely now that I fully understand the power of iM09. Especiall keywording and the "locked mode" was a mystery I had not understood before. Also the N.E.D. system works perfect. Next thing I want to learn is Flash. Keep up the good work. Greetings. George
This is a fine overview of iMovie 09. After viewing it, one would be able to go from importing a movie to exporting a finished product on the web. Lots of hints and tricks that aren't on Apple's tutorials. Of course, one needs to understand that the best way to learn this software is to go through the tutorial, and then dive in and explore.
A terrific "hands-on" tutorial, well organized and presented in an easy-to-understand format with a very pleasant coach navigating the way. A terrific way to master the basics of iMovie '09 -- especially useful if you have been using an older version such as iMovie HD and have been reluctant to dip your toes into the new interface. Great stuff!
Great Great Great...The best money I have spent in a long time. This is an incredible value for the cost of the training received. I will be able to get the most out of imovie 09 because of your training. I will be a regular customer. Thanks
Apart from a few issues (which your support staff quickly resolved) in transferring the tutorial from my work PC (where I downloaded) to my MacBook Pro at home I had no problems - the course material is superb and well presented. And Francesco knows the subject - looking forward to his iDVD course!
very happy with my purchase complete and easy to understand The clips choosed for demonstrating are not very "demonstrating" (skateboard and ships in a oceanbay for example)
I love it. Very good tutorial. It is a must for every imovie user.
Worth the money in a complete package. Since there is so much information, it is great that you can return to a chapter for review. Using the easy down load option meant no waiting for the product
Dit is de beste manier om te leren filmbewerken met imovie 09. De oefeningen zijn geen droge, saaie bedoening maar echt boeiend.
Good tutorials. If in brazilian portuguese would be EXCELENT! Think about that.
Very good, I will recommend this to my friends "I'll be Back"
Was impressed with the simplicity and power of the course
Amazing value! A good introduction to Apple's latest incarnation of iMovie. Good clear and helpfull explanation.
Though still not thru with the whole Tutorial, I find it just amazing, and very helpful. It won't be the last one I'll purchase.
This Tutorial was great and is probably the most comprehensive one on iMovie 09. This is notwithstanding the Author's pronounced Spanish tinged accent. Coverage is excellent and you come away getting to know some hidden nuggets in this now fantastic video editing offering from Apple. However, on another note, I was extremely disappointed with your Indesign CS4 and actually wrote some blunt facts about its lack of any kind of coverage. I notice that despite your claim to take good and bad, that mail [repeated two times over and specifically addressed to Martin Sitter] never saw the light of day. So much for walking the talk. narasimhan
With over six hours of material, the Core IMovie '09 tutorial is a tour de force. I am a great fan of MacProVideo and in this particular case I think the company has excelled. For those wishing to get to grips with what is a very significant upgrade to iMovie then this is most certainly the tutorial for you. There were criticisms of the '08 upgrade to iMovie particularly when in came to precision editing. That is no longer the case and iMovie '09 is now a programme of choice for video editing. The tutor Francesco Schiavon covers his topic with great professionalism and presents his subject with a calm and relaxed approach. Buy it!
Even I´m not fond of Latin-American English I love this tutorial. It´s quite comprehensive practical and easy understandable.
