When I saw a whole course dedicated to the Flex tool, I didn't know what to expect. All I can say is, it was well worth it. It's incredible what can be achieved with Flex Time in Logic. #topnotch.....

Flex Time Editing is a function in Logic that allows you to sync up, Quantize, rythymic audio parts like guitars or banjos to the timing grid, and also to tighten up solo or harmony vocals and lead parts. Steve H. and his assistant Igor explain the Flex Time in 30 video presentations and they do a very good job. If you are like me, you will need to follow along slowly with your own recording project. I think I missed a couple of important points, like "Phase Locked Flexing..." and "Q-References" in videos 19 and 21, so need to go back. Another five star tutorial in my opinion. thank-you so much Igor and Steve H.!

I just bought the Logic 104 tutorial which is my 3rd tutorial by Steve and am astonished how fast I am learning these things in Logic because of the way he presents it. I hope he will keep on creating his tutorials!

Really did an excellent job of giving an overview of Flex Editing. Showed some of the awesome power in that tool.

This course meets the typically excellent standards of Steve H. He demonstrates complex techniques with flair and humour and I enjoyed this potentially difficult subject much more than I thought.

Loved this tutorial. way above the help I got one on one at the apple store. Those guys are great but didn't know the detail on flex editing. This has been a breath of fresh air and is really helping get going on remixes of variable timed music. Fab.

Steve is a master on Logic also he is a great tutor. In this video he shows you stuff that if you try to do this true pdf manuals it takes you ages and most probable you will give up reading. Must have videos to new Logic users and useful for those that know there way around Try it you wont be disappointed

Wonderful tutorial. Information flow is well paced and soundly structured. I am a big fan of having a final couple of "creative" lessons at the end to show how the tools can be applied in real world projects.

This is just a great video. I realized that 3 hours ago before I watched the entire thing, I had very little understanding of flex mode. I especially like the way Steve finishes the video out with some cool experimentation.

I'm eagerly awaiting my new 27 inch i5 iMac and looking forward to upgrading to Logic 9. My computer hasn't arrived yet, we in New Zealand are, like so many others, having to wait.... and wait! But with the excitement of using Logic 9 somewhere around the corner I decided to purchase this tutorial in anticipation of that wonderful day when i can crank up the new Logic on the new iMac! Like so many of Steve H's videos, this one displays humor and clarity as Steve describes the basic uses for flex editing in a way that makes it easily graspable to the novice user of this particular plug in. Timing has always been an issue for me when recording my parts and this new addition to Logic will be invaluable to me and will allow me to create music more akin to what I hear in my head. Thanks to Steve's depth tuition I'll be able to use the flex tools more quickly than just trying to do it on my own. That's what's so great about these tutorials, being sight impaired makes it difficult to work in a "classroom" environment but using these tutorials makes it so much easier to learn new things. Thanks Steve for this, I'll be watching it over and over again when I get my new iMac and start working on my next album project. Till next time....

Another fantastic tutorial by Steve H. I took the time to read through and try out the examples in the Apple documentation for Logic 9 that's now only available via the web (doh! Apple). I thought, well, what can Steve H teach me now? Answer: he just goes to depths I wouldn't dream of and his experience is invaluable. Fantastic!

The great thing about Logic is that it caters for those starting out on music production right up to the most sophisticated technicians at the highest end of the industry - like Steve H. Each tutorial in the Logic series provides highly detailed elements of the, in my view, the very best of DAWs. The real beauty is that you can be as simple or as sophisticated as you wish. I would say that Flex Editing is at the higher end of the scale but if you wish to add this aspect of music production to your list of skills then Steve H does his usual professional job of explaining complex aspects of Logic in his customary straightforward and often entertaining manner.

The new techniques used with flex-time editing are very clearly and logically explained. With all the MacPro videos I use two screens, one with the tutorial and the other with an open work file. The short simple descriptions in each tutorial make it possible quickly to become familiar with new and/or updated function without having to put time aside to study them.

I am a big fan of Steve H. My two favourite things are his appalling humour and his genuine and infectious enthusiasm. Always fun

hi as usual the flex time tutorial is a must for anyone using logic very clear and to the point touching on all aspects of this new feature which would take the average user a long time to figure out for themselves ie time wasted when youre trying to get on with your recording all the best paul

Great technical tutorial... as handy as it is to know how to sort out out those timing issues I especially enjoyed the experimental section at the end.
